The hotel is located just outside Luxembourg City, but it is very easy to reach the center using the public transportation network, which is free in Luxembourg. This makes the location convenient while also being quieter than staying directly in the city center. The rooms are relatively small, but they are cosy, clean, and comfortable for a short stay. The hotel also offers a small parking area next to the building, which is free for guests and very practical for those traveling by car. There is also a restaurant inside the hotel where breakfast is served in the morning. Overall, the stay was pleasant and offered good value, especially considering the easy access to the city and the included parking.

I was very satisfied with my stay at the Grand Hotel Cravat. The hotel was comfortable and pleasant, and the view from the room was very nice, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I would happily stay here again.

Come and discover why most travellers consider Meliá Luxembourg one of the top hotels in Luxembourg.
The hotel is not in a lively part of the city, so there are few people around and it is quiet. It takes five minutes to walk to the tram station and about 10 minutes to take the tram to the city center and the train station. Fortunately, the Luxembourg trams and buses are free. Breakfast is a bit simple, only a bottle of mineral water is provided for free for double occupancy 😂

Stay was pleasant and fine for a business trip. However, the hotel (and room) was a bit outdated and stuffy.

The hotel is new, with clean rooms with an acceptable dimension. In terms of location, the hotel is well connected in terms of public transportation (that is free in Luxembourg) but is a bit isolated (it’s in a new area surrounded by construction work and/or offices/ residences (during the weekend and holidays was deserted). Finding a place for dinner at walking distance during the weekend was a challenge and the hotel doesn’t offer option besides a simple breakfast. Frontdesk staff was friendly and supportive.
Located at the foot of the city, the Mercure Luxembourg Off Kirchberg hotel is housed in a former brewery. This historic building offers a unique setting, where every detail has been thought of to preserve its charm of yesteryear while meeting contemporary expectations. The team, always available and courteous, makes it a point of honour to offer you impeccable service and a warm welcome. Enjoy a tasty and varied locally-inspired breakfast to get your day off to a good start.
This is certainly one of the best Mercure that I have ever stayed at. The owner and management must have put in tremendous effort to do up the interior decor. The lobby lounge was so homely opulent. The room was tastefully modern and done up, though do note that the bathroom did not have a door, so it was easy to get a chill after a hot shower, especially in winter. Breakfast room was cozy but the spread was excellent with hot selections, a rarity for small european hotels! Bus stop right at front of hotel to catch the free bus #9 to town.

Great
GGuest UserVery friendly and assisting front desk staff, lobby has kids friendly play station, about 10mins walk from lux train station, room and toilet is clean and well-furnished.
SSuantouJEWELThere are two Novotel hotels in the same area. I asked for directions and a staff member guided me to the correct one. Parking was very tight, both outdoors and indoors, but the front desk lady said that some spots on P3 and P4 were free to use because the offices upstairs were closed for the weekend. 😂. The room was very comfortable, and I slept really well. It was very convenient to get to the city center as the T1 tram line was right outside.
GGuest UserYou can park outside the hotel lobby for a short time to unload your luggage. There is free parking service. Parking seems to be 30 euros/day (deducted from the pre-authorization after leaving the hotel). The room area is relatively large, but the shower room in the twin room is glass and translucent, which is really strange for friends to stay. The washbasin is large enough for two people to put their cosmetic bags on one side without affecting each other. The toilet is a separate room, and it is unreasonable that the toilet does not have a trash can.
The mini bar in the refrigerator is all free, with enough drinking water and drinks. There is a good view outside the window. The hotel can reach various attractions in the city walk about 1 km, which is very convenient.
The hotel breakfast is on the 8th floor, with an unbeatable view outside the window and a rich breakfast. The picture shows only a part of it.
GGuest UserThe hotel, which opened 25 years ago, is very new. Its location right opposite the train station is incredibly convenient. The room design is a cool blend of modern and vintage.
However, the front desk service wasn't very friendly, especially Diego, who seemed prejudiced against Asians. He initially assigned us a terrible room with high windows that felt like a prison cell. It was only after we found flies in the room that he moved us to a larger one overlooking the train station. This shows the hotel clearly had better rooms available, and as a Marriott member staying for three nights, I should have been given a decent room from the start. We accidentally left two hats in the closet of the first room, and it took two days and many conversations to get them back; they seemed completely unconcerned.
On the other hand, another front desk staff member, Augustine, was fantastic. He had a sweet smile throughout and genuinely provided excellent service. He truly deserves a promotion!
RRandomtraveler_01This hotel is newly built and easy to reach from both the airport and Luxembourg train station. Bus 29 provides direct access and takes about 20 minutes.
The hotel is located outside the city center, but it is modern, new, and very clean. It provides all the basic facilities needed for a comfortable stay.
Overall, it’s a good option for travelers looking for a clean, modern hotel with convenient public transport access.
GGuest UserThe hotel is average, the room is not very big but the price is relatively expensive. However, the cost of living in Luxembourg is higher than other European countries. It is not far from the train station and the transportation is convenient.
FFaridfI stayed at the DoubleTree Luxembourg with my 80-year-old father, who is unwell and was extremely tired after a long day of travelling. Unfortunately, the room we were given was right next to the elevator motors, and the noise kept both of us awake almost the entire night. My father finally managed to fall asleep around 7:00–7:30 AM after hours of discomfort.
However, at 8:00 AM, there was a knock on our door. I opened it half-asleep, and the staff member simply said “It’s ok” and walked away. I later saw the same person again in uniform, so clearly they were a member of the hotel team. I still cannot understand why they knocked at that time, and what exactly was “ok,” especially when it was obvious the room had severe noise issues and guests could still be resting.
I shared all of this with the reception team and politely asked to speak with the manager. Instead of a brief conversation or even a quick acknowledgment, I was handed a handwritten note with the manager’s email. After travelling with an elderly parent who was in pain and exhausted, I was genuinely hoping for a bit of understanding or empathy. Even a short apology would have meant a lot at that moment.
I should mention that breakfast was also quite basic and didn’t match the DoubleTree standard I’m familiar with, so overall the stay was unfortunately far below what I usually experience with Hilton properties.
I’m writing this not to complain for the sake of complaining, but because the situation placed my father—who is already unwell—under a lot of unnecessary stress. As a loyal Hilton Honors member, this experience was difficult for me, and I sincerely hope management can review what happened and decide on an appropriate way to make this right.
GGuest UserThis is a good hotel right by the central train station and not too far away from the main sights of Luxembourg City. Getting around the city is easy with frequent teams, busses and trains from the nearby station and all public transport is free within the country!
The room was good and the beds/pillow were comfy. The room is a bit small but we had enough space to put our things including some space under the bed for our bags. They had a small table in the room with a chair, some shelving and a pretty big TV for the room size. The bathroom was good too with some decent shower products and while most of the room and bathroom appeared clean they seemed to be having some issues with the shower ceiling and that could use some attention.
We picked this hotel for the location and the affordable breakfast option because we only had a day to explore Luxembourg and felt the hotel breakfast would be a good start to our day. The breakfast had a nice selection of breads including a seasonal pastry, a pancake machine, cereals, yoghurt and some nice deli meats and cheeses. The juice and coffee machine were also pretty good and they had some to go cups for the tea/coffee.
The location of the hotel is maybe not the best for families because it is surrounded by gentleman's clubs and possibly the red light area of Luxembourg. We didn't see anything too bad but would exercise a degree of caution in this area. There are a few restaurants, bars and quite a few shops nearby.
We booked this hotel mainly because it was affordable and would consider staying here again to save some money while travelling through Europe. Being here during the Christmas Market season was fantastic and there are lots of nice things to do around the city.
GGuest UserThe location is a little away, the next bus is about 150 m from the hotel.
The rooms are a little obsolete and despite the ”Please don't disturb” sign at the door the cleaning forces are hitting.
The smell of chemical cleaners is very present, and the beds are extremely soft, which is taste.
The rooms were clean and were cleaned daily.
The wellness facilities such as sauna, swimming pool and fitness room are relatively small compared to the number of guests.
I think the food was not the level of a four-star hotel, I have already made better experiences.
However, almost all of the staff were very friendly.
In total, I would not book this hotel again because I had a soft bed and the hotel has come somewhat in the years
AAmunThe flat is well located and at close distance to the main train station.
Unfortunately, my experience was not good and I feel Queen luxury robbed me! I responded to an email and share my arrival time. more than three hours later When I got there on time 30 min after the allowed check in time , I had to wait for the cleaning lady to finish, 20 mins later.
There were lots of hair around (on the floor, in the bathroom, even the bed cover.
I had issues with their internet and couldn't access site and complete my work. I requested their help at 10:35 and was promised a technician promptly. I had to use a nearby coffee's Wi-fi. Five hours still nobody! I called again and was told the technician forgot to come by trying and fix the issue. Eventually they did reach out to help but I left the place a day earlier.
