"I'm writing this because it seems there aren't many reviews since this hotel was recently built! I booked with some hesitation because there were no reviews either, but it seems like a new hotel under the JR Hotel brand, which has several locations in Takamatsu. It's super clean and modern, and the front desk staff are friendly. The location is also great: right in front of the shopping street, there's a drugstore and convenience store below, and the airport bus drops you off right in front of the hotel (a huge boost!). It's about a 10-minute walk to Takamatsu Port and Takamatsu Station, and all the famous restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk. The location is just amazing. Also, the room is clean, not too cramped, and all the facilities are spotless. Other JR chain hotels are usually near Takamatsu Station, but since this one is close to the shopping street and the station, I think the location is even better. I highly recommend it. The laundry room costs 400 yen. There is no basic water in the room... They did give me a water exchange voucher (lol) on the second day, though. It's kind of funny that they give you a voucher, but anyway... Also, I didn't have breakfast, but looking at the restaurant, it looks really well-equipped. I recommend having breakfast."
"Decent size for a few nights' stay, with sufficient room to open up suitcase. A bit of sea view if on the high floor. Had two stretches of stay at this hotel and we could store our suitcase with them while we stayed two nights on the islands."
"In my case, there were some trouble because of check-in. Nevertheless, front desk staff was so kind and professional during this situation. finally, it is my fault. I am very sorry!! Anyway, location is very good for dining and shopping. If you like japanese-style public bath, it is best choice."
"Friendly staff, really clean, free snacks and drinks available, quiet and cozy, good location (station, shopping, etc.), best value for money **Friendly staff, really clean, free snacks and drinks, quiet and cozy, good location (station, shopping, etc.), best value for money**"
"Nice hotel ,friendly staff . But one thing , we are not suppose to wear room slippers to eat breakfast in the morning 😅. Overall was good experience though . Nice breakfast too ! Can try !"
"All was as expected and described. It was really quiet for such a big room with lots of people. I would recommend this place and breakfast was also nice."
"The site of the hotel is very good. It' just a few minutes walking distance when I get off from the airport bus. The room is spacious. The breakfast is good and tasty. I was very satisfied with the hotel."

Great
TTYAN42316Excellent experience at a Japanese Onsen hotel! The interior design was very traditional Japanese and the room was spacious with a small balcony where you can enjoy the sunset. Onsen was beyond our expectations, with private baths (no reservations but tends to have at least one available) and also good substances in the spring water that gives a relaxing sensation to your muscles. Overall really enjoyed our stay.
GGuest UserNice hotel that’s just had been refreshed but still have the 90s vibe. Reception staff was a senior gentleman who looked like he can’t speak English but was able to converse in English. Like the appearance of the hotel, it’s a hidden gem. Located in between MacDonalds and 7-11 so it’s pretty convenient and good quality hotel. And free parking too! If lucky, can park right at the entrance to the lobby.
GGigantic PenguinA business hotel chain with great amenities. Location is not perfect as it is in between two tram stations , some diners around without convenient stores or supermarkets in close proximity.
GGuest UserThis 2 beds room is quite large for Japan's standard. The hotel is a bit dated to my preference but it has everything you need. It has an air-conditioning installed (not centralized one). So you can choose the temperature as you wish, not having to rely on the hotel's control. Of course, it depends on which time of year you are visiting as well. Limited breakfast selection but again, if you can eat anything, you'll be fine. I think they offer parking spaces, right across the hotel. Convenient stores are walkable distance.
GGuest UserLocation of the hostel is just a stone throw away from Ritsurin Garden. Free breakfast, Udon, is a plus. To add an egg is just merely ¥100. Both dinner (¥2000) and parking ¥500 per night require order in advance.
SStekmerThere are 2 identically named hotels opposite the train station - the right one is closest to the sea, the other has a sign saying go to the next one. The reception area is very small and there is only the staff toilet if you need to use one. The staff are polite and helpful. The coffee machine at reception is good. The rooms are clean and a good size but are very old, the bathrooms look to be from the 1970s. The bed had a squeaky spring. The location is its main (and possibly only) strong point
GGuest UserThe guesthouse was very conveniently located just 5mins walk from the main station and the ferry port. The self check in service was also very simple which allowed for even later arrivals, the only difficult part to this stay was the 3 flight of stairs that were a bit narrow and steep for a suitcase, especially as it got heavier with the amount of souvenirs accumulated.
