Good service. Good people. Good food. Good mood. Just slope of the road is a bit of drawback

This was my second stay at this property. The location is excellent - short distance to MG Marg, New Road, West Point Mall, Star Mall, and the main town area. Equally close to the Orchidarium which is walkable from the property. Enchey Monastery is also walkable if one is comfortable walking uphill or in decent shape. Rooms are large, spacious, and comfortable. The terrace above is a great place to sit and chill, and provides for great views of the valley and the mountains on a clear morning.

The staff were extremely nice and welcoming, the location is great and the facilities are clean. Food was excellent and the breakfast was well rounded. 10/10 would recommend.

I booked to stay one night with my father. Their staff are so amazing they changed the room immediately as my father could not walk too many stairs. So I would like to say their staff and hospitality is top notch. The room was really nice however there was a sound that came from the kitchen exhaust which was like a generator. So until the kitchen shut at 10pm this noise was there. This is the only negative part of my stay. The other suggestion I have is to have some room to do exercises or games room or something. Its an amazing property. Loved it.

We stayed at this hotel two years ago and recently returned. While we still had a good overall experience, it seems the management may have changed. Back then, the property had beautiful traditional Sikkimese-style tents that gave it a unique charm and character. Unfortunately, it now feels like the hotel is being modernized, and it has lost a bit of that special atmosphere that made it stand out. That said, the rest of the stay was still pleasant, with good service and comfort. Overall, still a nice place—but we do miss the original charm.

It was good that it was within walking distance from the taxi stand in Deoraly (it only takes 2-3 minutes if you take the shortcut up the stairs, although it's uphill...). It seemed that the hotel was overbooked with guests who had booked on another site, but the hotel staff handled the situation well. For the free breakfast, we could choose what we wanted from the restaurant menu. There was no explanation as to why there were two switches for the water heater in the shower, so we thought the water heater was broken, but when we contacted them they came right away and took care of it. We were concerned about the age of the fixtures and the cockroaches, but overall it was a good hotel.

Great hotel situated in a peaceful location about 20 minutes walk downhill/ 5 minutes cab from MG Road area. Options for mountain view rooms with balcony for calming views. The staff are really attentive and welcoming. Has a pool and outdoor dining area. On the minus side … bathroom shower curtains need a good clean and towels + bed sheets could also be cleaner

Stay in Room no 301 from 20.06.2025 to 23.06.2025 was quite satisfactory for me and my family. It's toilet and washroom was clean. Room was big enough. The restaurant was good and rooftop restaurant is amazing. The taste of food eaten was quite satisfactory. Behaviour of reception staff were also well.

We had a wonderful stay at Sparrow Cherry. The location is perfect, near MG Road and quiet. The staff are very friendly, and the food was delicious. The room could use a fresh coat of paint; everything works well and is fine, but you can tell the hotel is older. Sometimes it's a bit chaotic, with buffet times changing, and when you finally get to eat, there's nothing. But that's just part of India ;-). The buffets aren't extensive, but everything they offer is good and tasty. All in all, I would highly recommend Sparrow Cherry.

Walking distance to MG Marg. To get to this hotel, from Hungry Jack Hotel, use stair case downward to the Mosque.. until end and turn left.
