My stay at Azora by Ayatana, Goa was truly wonderful. The property is stunning, with a calm and relaxing atmosphere that made the trip very enjoyable. The location is right on the beach and near to lots of bars and restaurants. At the moment, there is a rule in Arambol about live music stopping at 10pm so it isn't overly loud. You can hear the sea when the music is not playing. It is at the quieter end of Arambol beach (regarding sunbathing tourists) which I liked but there is still music playing. This may or may not appeal. The room was basic, but clean when I arrived. I stayed for 6 nights, and they never came into my room. Not to clean, not to empty the bathroom bin. Not for any reason. That is fine by me as I am ok to empty my own bin, but may bother others. The linens and towels were old but clean. Weirdly, I asked for an extra toilet roll after day 4, and I was told I was entitled to only one but that they would make an exception! The length of your stay appears to be irrelevant to the amount of provisions. They also didn't provide a top sheet. I asked for one and he seemed uncertain if I cold have one and said he would let me know later, then forgot (and apologised later). They said I had a blanket and could use that - but those are rarely cleaned so I didn't want to use it next to my skin. It was actually okay as I didn't end up needing it, but if there had been lots of mosquitoes there would have been zero barrier. The owners were friendly and said hello whenever I passed them.

We stayed at the Stonewood Hotel in Vagator for the weekend (Saturday–Sunday). The hotel is located in Goa's party district, where parties and events are held, and if you're looking for a good night's sleep, this isn't the place for you. The music and bass from nearby parties were blaring right into the room, making it nearly impossible to sleep, even with earplugs or headphones. On the other hand, the hotel itself is very pleasant: the rooms are clean and cozy, there's a pool, beautiful sunset views, and a convenient descent to the ocean. Breakfast is modest, with a limited selection, but everything is fresh. There are several beach clubs nearby on the beach where you can find affordable and delicious food. Fairfield by Marriott Calangute Goa is one of the best hotels I would love to stay again. The hotel is very clean and all the staff are very helpful. Room and bathroom is very clean beds are very comfortable. The view from room was great and has all the facilities including pool, gym, spa and bar. We enjoyed the breakfast too. I would highly recommend to stay at this hotel to everyone.
