"The Hotel Inn Design Moutiers is old but clean. I tried contacting the hotel several times before my arrival by email, but I still haven't received a reply. I also tried calling them all morning, again without success, and then tried again, but no one answered. I arrived in the early evening. The receptionist gave me a warm welcome and apologized for not replying to my email and for the missed calls. Luckily, I'm a frequent traveler because for a first-timer, it's not easy to imagine a hotel not responding at all, as was the case here. I paid a tourist tax of 0.90 cents, whereas Trip.com indicated 0.50 cents! The hotel was clean, the room spotless, and the plumbing was excellent, with good water pressure for the shower, which is very important, especially with this bad weather! I travel very often for sporting events: road races, hiking, trail running, like the Millet X-Trail Courchevel here. The weather was bad, with heavy thunderstorms. Given the weather, the X-Trail trip was partially canceled. Trip.com indicated that I could check out of my room between 6:30 and 11:00. Around 10:00, a housekeeping employee wanted to enter the room. I told her it was occupied. Around 10:30, an employee banged loudly on my door and spoke very rudely, demanding that I leave! I was very unpleasantly surprised and told him that I wouldn't leave then because I still had time until 11:00, as stated in my booking conditions. He insisted again, banging loudly on my door and demanding that I leave. I firmly refused and left as planned before 11:00. If my schedule was changed, that's his problem; if I want to leave and return to my room at the reserved times, that's my contract. It's incredibly frustrating and the first time I've ever experienced a hotel that doesn't answer phone calls or emails and is so unpleasant to be around, especially for a respectable person like myself. When I was leaving the reception, the housekeeping staff kindly held the door open for me with my luggage, which I greatly appreciated, as I was there for a trail run. I do not recommend this hotel, which doesn't answer emails or phone calls. In any emergency, it's absolutely essential to respond, and customer service should be a priority. I do recommend this hotel because, yes, it was clean. Based on my experience, I don't plan to return to this inconvenient, ghostly hotel, even though this is the region for trail running, hiking, climbing, etc. Sincerely."
