Yumeno Onsen
"It is located along the Monobe River, about a 10-minute drive east on National Route 195 from Tosa-Yamada Station. Just after passing Kochi University of Technology, you will see a large sign for "Yume no Onsen" on your left, then turn left and go down the gravel slope. The parking lot is in front of the inn. There are no parking spaces, so it seems like you can just park anywhere. If you are expecting "Yume no Onsen", you may be disappointed. It is a typical rural hot spring inn. The entrance is built like an old inn, and there are many stairs, so it is a difficult facility for those with bad legs. The stairs to the second floor are steep, so hold on to the handrail. It is also narrow. In addition to traditional Japanese rooms, there are also renovated Western-style rooms with beds. In addition, a new glamping tent has been installed on the north side of the building. You can relax while having a BBQ, but there is no TV. There are toilets and shower booths next to the tent. The hot spring is a simple sulfur cold mineral spring with a spring temperature of about 18°C and a weak alkaline pH of 7.8. It is heated and circulated, so it doesn't really have a hot spring atmosphere. There are four washing areas, and four people can fit in it. There are lockers with locks and two hairdryers in the dressing room. A day trip bath costs 800 yen, including towels. It may seem a little pricey. The facility itself is old, but it is frequently renovated with the latest equipment. There are Japanese-style toilets, but there are also the latest Western-style toilets with washlets. The glamping tents are stylish and make you want to stay there. There is also a 200V charger for electric cars. The owner of the inn may seem cold to first-time visitors, but if you become a regular, he will treat you very well. In addition to various credit cards, a wide range of payment methods are accepted, including PayPay and auPay."
The 6th Diary Kahoku Hotel and Resorts
"If you have come to the Ampanman Museum in Kochi for a long time, you have definitely decided to stay here. This is my first stay. As a result, it was a delicate hotel to hear the voice of the corridor for the price. In addition, there were inconveniences such as being forced to park the car a little far from the hotel. However, I was very satisfied with the cute paintings of Ampanman displayed in various places in the building and the place where I could enjoy the Ampanman Museum next door."

Comfort Hotel Kochi
"Comfort Hotel Kochi became our 12th hotel on this journey, and honestly, it was one of the most pleasant surprises so far. We checked in earlier today, and the location immediately scored big points — it is just a comfortable 5-minute walk from Kochi Station, making arrival very easy. The hotel itself feels brand new, and that freshness really shows. The lobby is slightly more spacious than other Comfort Hotels we have stayed at in Japan, which made a great first impression. Check-in was smooth even though it was done via a machine, and there was a friendly staff member nearby who stepped in to help and speed up the process when needed — a small touch, but very much appreciated. We were assigned a room on the highest floor, and to our surprise, this turned out to be the biggest standard double room we have ever stayed in across all Comfort Hotels in other cities. The room felt new, spotless, and thoughtfully laid out. The entrance area was spacious enough to fully open our large luggage without playing Tetris — always a win. The bed was comfortable, and while two pillows were already provided, I was able to get additional ones easily. There was a proper desk and chair, making it comfortable to sit down and work. The TV felt modern as well, with YouTube available, which was a nice bonus after a long day out. Even the bathroom was more spacious than expected, adding to the overall comfort. What made the stay even better was the free breakfast included for both nights of our stay, which always adds great value. On top of that, the streetcar station is also within walking distance, making it very convenient to explore Kochi without any hassle. Overall, Comfort Hotel Kochi exceeded our expectations — modern, comfortable, spacious, and well-located. It was a solid and satisfying stay that made us glad we chose it."
Kochi Kuroshio Hotel
"The hotel can be seen along the main road, and there are hot spring facilities next to it. There is a barbecue restaurant 50 meters away from the hotel. Although the room itself is not large, it is clean and tidy."
The Crown Palais Kochi
"All the staff were kind and polite, and I had a comfortable stay. They answered my questions in an easy-to-understand way, which was very reassuring. Thank you very much."
