The Sheridan Inns significance in our nations history lies primarily in its direct connection with William F. Buffalo Bill Cody, who developed and sold the concept of the Inn to the railroad. As part owner, he directed hotel management, and even auditioned new members for his touring company the Wild West show from the front porch. Buffalo Bill pulled together one of the most interesting casts of true-to-life characters that has probably ever been assembled. Some he had known as a young frontier scout and others he met later as a Pony Express rider, military scout, cattle rancher, mine owner, or in one of his many other enterprises.
Each of the twenty-two rooms at the revitalized Sheridan Inn, BW Signature Collection focuses on Buffalo Bill and twenty-one other key characters from his life. Each suite will present the times and individual histories of these people in the room’s overall finish, furnishings, art, artifacts, and exhibits. You will know the characters as icons of the American West, while others you may have never heard of previously, but they are all people you will want to know. Together, they have helped shape how we as Americans see ourselves and how others in the world see us.
Often noted as one of the Inns most distinguishing architectural features is the broad and inviting front porch, wrapping around the north, south, and east elevations. As evidenced by photographs, the porch has not only been a favorite of Inn guests, but it was also a favorite of Codys. Historic photographs show him enjoying the porch with a crowd of his cronies, auditioning for the Wild West show, or just relaxing on the porch alone. The comprehensive porch restoration stabilized the porch column foundations, removed deteriorated portions of wood columns, brackets, corbels and beams. All replacements were made with the same species of wood to maintain the historical significance of authenticity.
"The Sheridan Inn was very nice. I do want to call out that when booking on the Sheridan Inn website versus Trip.com website, that there is a difference regarding the shower and bathtub. On the Sheridan inn website, it will specify clawfoot bathtub with handheld showerhead but that is not a selection on Trip.com. Trip.com just specifies shower or bathtub. So when we arrived, we were expecting a shower per our confirmation not a bathtub. We were not able to change our room to have a shower. With us only staying one night, it would’ve been better to have a shower versus a bathtub."

"Temporary modification of the hotel booked, not bad. Just next to the high speed, very convenient. The nearby Japanese sushi restaurant is very fresh and good. The hotel breakfast ended earlier, nine o'clock. Everything else is very good, the front desk is very Nice."

As I recall the place was clean and looked like a nice motel from the exterior and interior not sure worn out budget look.
My one big complaint about the hotel is that I booked a Queen and that bed did not look like a Queen. It looked like a fall. So when I went down the manager or owner said that all the beds in the hotel were the same size and that was a Queen. But I think they decreed in that hotel that full size beds for queens because at the next hotel I went to that had a Queen it sure looked a lot bigger. I did not have a tape measure with me to rip measures a bed but it sure looked small.
I was with my wife so we could sleep close and that's okay.
I had already asked to be placed on the 2nd floor to see the scenery outside the window at my wife's request and they put me on the wrong side but we did have some sort of scenery. I thought maybe the manager didn't want to move me twice but he said all the beds were the same size.
Anyway be warned if you book a Queen and this hotel you're getting a smaller bed.
I was busy and just spent a night there and did not get to enjoy the amenities but I saw they had a pool and heard they had no hot tub and I saw they had a little laundromat type area which is good.
They tried to have a nice breakfast with the offerings given the limitations of no commercial kitchen. They had frozen toast and frozen fried eggs with a block of cheese in each egg. The problem was the toast was frozen when I got a hold of it and so was the cheese in the middle of the cooked egg. They were out of eggs when I got there and I suspect the warmer would warm that she's up over time but probably people wanted eggs quicker than they could warm up. The breakfast could be greatly improved by the presence of a microwave oven. I just threw the frozen cinnamon toast on the waffle Maker and heated it up that way but I did not want to do that with an egg though I probably could have. But that would have been unkind to leave that cheese on the griddle for the next customer.
