"It's not what it seems. It is a hotel that has very good things and others not so much. When we arrived we were given a room with a double bed and a sofa bed. We had booked a twin room and were told this was Trip's problem. That they only guarantee the views. All the furniture is wooden and very old. The old sofa, with a thin mattress and perforated sheets... Finally the next day we were changed to a room with two beds (and sea view) which was much better. However, the furniture was also old. It is advertised here that the cleaning of the room is daily but it is not true. They clean only one day for stays of at least 5 nights. If you are staying less than a few days and you want the room to be made for you, 50 USD. If you want clean towels, 10USD. The hotel does not have elevators, so you have to carry your bags up the stairs to the room (on the floor you are on). Just arriving they charge you 147.45USD in taxes (amenity fee, ta tax, ge tax, county ta tax...). Good: Prime location, in front of (private) beach, with restaurants, supermarkets and shops next door. The main road is right there. Swimming pool with hammocks and a bar (opens at 3pm). There is a refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave in the room."

"Clothes were left in the closet of the room. I told the hotel exactly where the clothes were, which wardrobe and which hanger. I called several times but did not respond, and finally said no. At that time, the Tokyo InterContinental lost a suitcase key and the hotel could find it and send it to Osaka. I have a better impression of the Tokyo InterContinental, and the hotel service quality has been achieved."

"Hidden gem with old-school island charm We absolutely loved our stay at The Kauai Inn! It has such a peaceful, laid-back atmosphere and feels way more authentic than the big resort hotels. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the whole property was lush and green — surrounded by mountains and palm trees. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Location was perfect for exploring the island — close to Līhuʻe, but quiet and tucked away. We’d 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a more local, relaxed experience."

"Just putting this here hope it helps others Breakfast is grab n go, which means there's a pantry consisting of packaged muffin, cereal box, pastry, packaged milk just packaged everything. some fruits if you're early. Pls note if a hot cooked breakfast is important to you. There's also a resort fee to cover bike rental, yoga class, and a water bottle (that we didn't end up using). The resort is lovely and bathroom is clean. Nice view of ocean from the room but the beach is not v swimmable."

"There's a laundry room! Washing and drying costs $4 each, it smells amazing, I even washed all of Honolulu's dirty clothes! There's a Coconut Markerplace shopping area nearby, a five-minute walk, no need to cross the street. It has a medium-sized supermarket selling hot ready-made meals; the food is decent, no tipping is required, and they accept UnionPay, which is great. No deposit is required, and there are free bicycles for rent. Turn right after exiting and walk along the beach; it's quite beautiful, but go early to avoid the scorching sun. Each building has free water dispensers where you can get hot water, which is great for seniors. The rooms aren't cleaned, but they do change the towels and trash cans. You'll be given a few towel cards upon check-in to exchange for pool towels at the front desk. Free parking; the front desk will give you a small card upon check-in. Overall, highly recommended! I hope this helps everyone!"

"Was very upset with serivce. Wifi was out on tv most of the night. Rented a movie and wanted my money back. Not worth the price honestly"

"Clean and very easy to spend. Free amenities and shampoo and body lotion are also available. No toothbrush is attached, so you need to bring it with you. Please rent a hair dryer at the front desk. The front desk is until 9pm, so you need to take a shower early. The location is great and adult bicycle rental is also free. There is also a pound cake at the front desk and it is very delicious. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and gentle. The breakfast shop below is definitely better to go. It's delicious."

"A very nice place to stay once you swallow the price. The resort was very clean. People friendly and they are very flexible. Check out was at 10am but they accommodate holding luggage and provide a hospitality room for 30 minutes to clean up after that. They allowed us to use the resort facilities all day after check out. That was very special."

"The hotel started 1916. Location near to Lihue airport is a plus. Condition is run down in the exterior but makes up for it with newly fixed up rooms. Clean."
