"Koh Yao Yai Village Resort is, without a doubt, one of the best places I have ever stayed. The location is breathtaking—it’s essentially a lush village tucked away in the jungle, yet just steps from the ocean. The resort grounds are stunning, featuring a very large, impeccably clean swimming pool. The staff truly sets this place apart; they are incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. The daily housekeeping is excellent, and the service throughout the resort is top-tier. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the small coffee nook within the resort is the perfect spot to relax. Even when it rained, the jungle setting was so peaceful—it was a joy to just grab a coffee and enjoy the nature. If you’re into fitness, the on-site gym is also surprisingly well-equipped. The location is perfect for exploring the island. Renting a scooter is very affordable, and it’s easy to head out to see the sunset on the other side of the island or visit some of the neighboring five-star resorts for a nice dinner. However, after every outing, I was always so happy to return to the peace and comfort of the resort. I wouldn't have stayed anywhere else! I cannot recommend this place enough, it was the perfect peaceful getaway and I felt really safe as a solo female traveler, throughout the whole island really . "It’s nice the room I booked had no ac though but I still liked it, bathroom and toilet are lowkey the nicest I’ve seen for the price, owner is also very nice. Would recommend."

"Excellent stay at this beautiful thai style beach front resort located 30min from Ao Po Marina ferry point. There are 3-5 times ferry departing to and fro the ferry station depending on whether it’s peak or off peak season. I stayed in the hotel building and only used the hotel facilities like the infinity pool. There are paddle boarding and kayaking activities which closes at 5pm. The spa centre closes about 9pm so you need to schedule your activities ahead of time. I stayed only one night so missed all these. The breakfast was excellent and the views at the restaurant was stunning. Fortunately I had a chance trying the beach massage. I did feel a bit awkward but the massage was really good. Every Saturday night, there’s a fire show performance at 8.30pm. Sunset watching about 6 to 6.30pm at the jetty area. Nothing great though."

"Our room was absolutely gorgeous, really spacious and spotlessly clean. The jacuzzi bath was fabulous and the view from the resort was magical. The food in the restaurant was OK, there are other cheaper and tastier restaurants within walking distance though. We hired a bike for the day which was hassle free and cheaper than the rental place next door. The pool area was beautiful and we even saw a couple of water monitor lizards. The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful, I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet, relaxed and authentic Thai island experience."

"Excellent hotel. The location is excellent, the beach is clean and sandy. The service is excellent. We really liked it. The rooms are spacious, clean, no complaints. The territory has everything you need, a bar, a restaurant, etc. The island itself is also very colorful, quiet and calm."

"Good experience overall! Price/quality very fair, the pool is large enough (although not deep). Surprisingly varied breakfast with Asian and western options. The beach is clean with sufficient shade from the trees.. Sea acsess by the stairs. Just across the street there is a convenience store with drinks, snack and holiday essentials. The restaurant is fairly priced, some dishes even cheaper than on larger beaches. Plus, there are restaurants walking distance from the hotel. The staff is nice and can arrange transportation and bike rentals. Used their laundry service too - was ready overnight."

"We recently enjoyed a 2 night stay at Cape Kudu and we loved it there. Highlights - The staff: Super friendly & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. From the front desk, to restaurant waiting staff, to the housekeeping staff, to the managers… everyone seemed genuinely welcoming and there to support our every need. - Ambience: The hotel was beautiful - from the pool & restaurant with their gorgeous sea view, to the thoughtfully decorated clean & bright rooms, to the gorgeous spa, everything felt designed to help you relax and unwind in peaceful surroundings. We loved the vintage cars parked outside too… and the beautiful flowers all around… The whole place was just 🤩 Other things we loved: - It was my partner’s birthday & they put a cake in the room for us - The food & drinks at the restaurant were delicious - The musicians (restaurant had live music) were great - The spa was beautiful & we both enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing massage there - Easy to arrange transport (scooter rental right next door & local taxis available for getting back to the pier) Areas for improvement: - The pool in the room needed some maintenance, specifically the top rung of the ladder was missing, which made it difficult to enter and exit the pool"

"This hotel is located on a side street off the main road. We particularly enjoyed the friendly welcome. We had a standard room, which was very clean, had a safe, and fresh towels were provided daily if desired. It was a good size, and we were lucky enough to get a corner room, which meant we had an extra window and a small private terrace. The hotel is right on the beach, but also has two pools. Additionally, the hotel offers a free shuttle service to what is supposedly one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The hotel restaurant offers a very extensive breakfast buffet; the only downside is that the coffee machine takes a while. The food selection at the restaurant is also excellent. For those who are very sensitive to noise: since there's a pier directly on the hotel beach, it's often used by scooter riders to zoom around – it's actually quite fun to try yourself! :) I generally recommend always having earplugs for Thailand (also for speedboats) – we were able to sleep perfectly well."

"Great! Probably what I wanted to get going to this island. Ideally clean, I think new or updated, bungalow. There aren't many in the territory. In the room everything you need for a comfortable rest including a beach bag, beach bedding, rain umbrella. There is a lingerie hanger on the house. Smart-tv! I put the app and enjoyed the evening view of any films. It is far from noisy places, though noisy places are a condition for the island. To the beach on the bike 1-2 minutes, walk, I think, minutes 6-9. In a couple of minutes there is a cafe. Not far-shop. Alcohol lovers- in ”7-11” it is not available. None. In local shops the value *1, 5-2 from the prices on the ground. As this ”silent place in nature” is activated at night by all the sounds of the jungles and mosquitoes. From the chambers, they are kindly provided with some remedy, but it didn't help. Prepare :) It's the only minus."
