"The location is very good, in the old town, it is very convenient to go anywhere. Call Uber to the airport for 6 euros. After booking, you will receive a confirmation letter, there is a boss contact number, you can communicate with WhatsApp. very convenient. Luggage can be stored here. The boss is very enthusiastic. There is free coffee capsules in the kitchen. There are also kitchen utensils, you can cook sweet potatoes. Room 4 has air conditioning, and there seems to be no air conditioning downstairs. Shared bathroom. Room 4 is very quiet at night. The bed is a bit hard. The room is not very big. Trip.com Online booking is 80 euros. This season, this price is incomparable with Chinese hotels."

"The hotel was easy to find and in a great location right in the heart of the old town. It’s about an 8-10 minutes walk to the marina, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants close by. The room was tidy and comfortable, although it wasn’t cleaned during our stay, so it seems you may need to request housekeeping if you want it. Breakfast was quite simple with just the basics. We also appreciated the 12 pm check-out, as it gave us a bit more time to rest before our afternoon trip."

"Great location! Cozy «family» dinners for cheap every night at Hostellicious with delicious homemade dishes, wine, sangria at the family barbecue at Casa D’Alagoa (see pictures) Everybody was very respectful in my 6 person female only room, and quiet at night. Made friends with many of them every day during my stay!  Lots of places to hang with people both inside and on the patio, beautiful interior  Lots of activities with great prices just for people staying at the hostel, like boat tours, hiking, bike rentals, pub crawls every night with hostellicious Bring a padlock with a thick neck, a thinwire padlock doesn’t work for keeping your drawer locked.  Sun umbrellas can be rented for like €3!! Took it to the praia de Faro. Just a ten min walk to the port from the hostel, €4 with the ferry, amazing long ***** of beaches  Faro has my ♡"

"Pousada Palácio de Estoi is a beautiful hotel, elegant in every corner, very quiet, and with ample parking. I stayed for two nights, and while the first night was wonderful, the second evening at dinner was disappointing. The restaurant service felt rather cold, and there was a mix up where someone had made a 7 p.m reservation under our names without informing us. Things worsened when my fish soup contained a small piece of plastic, which I showed to the restaurant manager, unfortunately, that ended my meal. Not to mention the delay in food, 75 minutes sitting in the restaurant, I have only had the plastic containing soup. Despite this, the hotel itself is charming and well located, with some aspects of service done right. With some attention to communication and restaurant service, it could easily be a five star experience. Not quite there yet in my humble opinion."

"Great location. 5 minute walk to main bus station, 5 minute walk to the harbour *****. Room was spotless, as were toilets and showers. Was a locker and key if required. Though I never used the kitchen, it was clean and looked well stocked. The sun terrace is amazing, traps the sun the whole day. Plenty of grocery and restaurants in the street. Highly recommend!"

"All in all average clean level with slightly aged and malfunction facilities. 1. Did not suffer bug bites or itchy feeling but the bed is NOT 10/10 clean, there is dust on bed base/frame. 2. The facilities are slightly aged, room and toilet doors are tricky to close and lock. Technically there are 2 shared bathroom/toilet, but one of the shower room door cannot close while the other bathroom has a broken toilet seat. So you basically only use bathroom A for toilet and B for shower only. 3. Both bathrooms have bad ventilation, so if someone took a smelly sht, then the smell would stay for quite a while. 4. Privacy concerns: the keyhole of the room doors can be see straight through from outside into the room interior. If ladies are to stay here you may risk privacy issues or you have to use something to plug in the keyhole to block vision. 5. Rather convenient location for the price but do expect noisy environment. Good thing is the windows are thick enough to block noises and provided air-con for air ventilation while window closed. 6. Free simple breakfast, basic bread, cornflakes and egg tarts."

"The hotel room was confortable, sufficient for what we needed, which was simply a place to spend the night. The food wasn't that good. But considering the price, it was acceptable. Overal the hotel was nice and clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly."

"Not my first time in Faro but chose this hotel for the rooms with balcony marina view. The hotel has a rich history and has been around since 1960s and its undergoing refurbishments in some areas. The old rooms look dated and could do with better cleaning as previous occupant’s hair was found in the bathroom. We loved the design & aesthetic looks of the new refurbished areas such as the spa, bathrooms, gym, pool & sauna but shame that there was a water leak in the indoor pool ceiling and rusty bits on the stainless steel railings. Considering it’s completed in Aug 2025, the hotel may need to do more due diligence to ensure the safety of guests. As a non Portuguese speaker, I felt that the check-in staff can make more efforts in being warm and welcoming. I noticed that this hotel is one of the few hotels ive been that check-in staffs are seated instead of standing, making the process somehow casual & less welcoming. I also called in to make a request for a late check out and received a hostile response by a lady who said ‘No. We need the room back’. We just got married the day before arriving & we are here to also celebrate my honeymoon & partner’s birthday. Weeks prior to arriving, I put in a request if the hotel could do a birthday special for him but this was not acknowledged. As an avid traveller who has stayed in many hotels around the world, I am a little dissapointed with the lack of personalised attentive service provided by the hotel. If the view & location isn’t a concern, I recommend the nearby 3HB hotel. We enjoyed our stay there. AP Eva senses have a great deal of potential, but they may be complacent at going beyond, as they are currently the only hotel at Faro marina. Additional employees like the elder gentleman pianist & hotel hairdresser were the warmest I’ve come across."

"We had a great stay at this hotel! The room came with a double bed and a bunk bed, which was perfect for families or friends traveling together. The space was well-organized and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, keeping the room cool even on hot days. Everything was clean and tidy, and the overall value was excellent. Just a heads-up: city tax needs to be paid in cash upon check-in, so be sure to have some cash ready. Overall, a very pleasant stay — highly recommended!"
