"It's located in a heritage building with interesting history and at an excellent location, right in the middle of the Victorian town and 5 mins drive to see the penguins.
The rooms are newly refurbished tastefully decorated, it has a very nice teapot and a nice tea egg and some nice coffees and teas.
It has an excellent breakfast with good choices of fruits, cereals..., it's the only hotel that offer us the breakfast in New Zealand!"

"It's alright, about a 10-minute drive from where you can see the penguins. The only downside is that the kitchen utensils are a bit sparse – not even a single knife, just one pair of scissors. I'd suggest the hotel at least provides a knife set. Also, there were only two hangers, which wasn't enough. The bed was quite comfortable. The water pressure was very low, so I didn't even bother showering that day."

This time I booked a cabin room, number 19. It was very nice. I felt like I had a small home in New Zealand~
Parking is available at the door, and each parking space is marked with a room number, one parking space for each family.
The room facilities are a little bit old, the exhaust fan is a bit loud, the heater in the bedroom seems to be broken, and finally the heater in the living room is turned on.
Since I was in a hurry, I didn’t take any photos. There are McDonald’s, KFC, etc. nearby. When you go out of the hotel and turn a corner, you will reach the main road of the town."

"Because I wanted to see the little penguin 🐧, I had to stay in Omalu for one night and finally chose to punch in the first hotel on the list of this homestay. I really like the decoration style of the hotel, there are many Chinese elements in it, because the owner has stayed in different cities in China for more than 20 years. The most surprising thing is that I actually ate the only Chinese meal in the South Island Tour for breakfast. 😄👍"

"The wooden house has creaky floors, so you need to walk lightly. There's no private bathroom; about two to three rooms share one shared bathroom (toilet and shower). The interior decor is charming and unique, clearly a lot of thought went into it. Check-in is via a code, which can be a hassle if you miss the email – I personally spent a long time trying to find it. The single bed is quite narrow, but that seems to be a common standard abroad."

"It’s a vintage hotel, I’m surprised with the lift which is very old type of lift, the design very pretty and retro. Room is quite spacious for 4 adults. The heater is very powerful and strong. The hotel is located near to the town center and precinct street, just a few minutes of walk can reach."

Unfortunately, the day we stayed was cloudy and we couldn't see the sunrise. 10 minutes drive from the Penguin Center. The cooking facilities in the house are particularly complete. At first glance, it is prepared for the Chinese. Not only have seasonings, but also rice cookers. This is not available in other hotels. If you prepare a large spoon, it will be 100 points.

The room is clean and hygienic. It has its own yard and parking is convenient. The car is parked at the door of the room. The motel is right on the main road, making it easy to get in and out. Hygiene: It is clean, but there will be a lot of bugs flying in as soon as the door is opened. This has nothing to do with the hotel. It is mainly because there are a lot of bugs in the local area, so it is barely 4.5.
Environment: There was a Chinese group on the day of check-in. Most of the members were 50-year-old southern aunts and uncles, so please imagine the whole environment on the day.
Service: I really thought it was a hotel with a bit of artistic atmosphere after seeing the name, so I placed an order, but it was actually a motel. When checking in, the fat ********* girl's *** and indifferent expression were also very disgusting. After checking in, the various Chinese signs in the room that were visible to the naked eye, saying what you are not allowed to do, and if you do it, you will be fined a certain amount of money, which is also very uncomfortable. I believe that many Chinese must have done various things to cause this, but after all, they are guests, and they don't owe you anything. You can remind the motel, but there is no need to warn them proactively.
