"Overall it it very good to stay Berjaya Tioman Resort. We got free transfer from jetty to resort. All the stuff are friendly. Only the pool's towel is not enough to be used when we need more. Told by the stuff that they haven't received from their laundry department on the morning. Was wondering this was not coordinate well for such a high standard resort? Management have to look into it to avoid any disappointment from other visitors."

"Overall, we had a good stay at Paya Beach Resort. We visited during the off-peak weekday period, so it was very quiet and peaceful—perfect if you’re looking to relax and avoid crowds. One downside was the number of mosquitoes, especially when opening the door, so that’s something to be mindful of. Another small issue was the exit green light in the room—it couldn’t be turned off at night, which felt a bit unusual and slightly disruptive when trying to sleep. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet was enjoyable with a good selection of options. Overall, a nice and tranquil place to stay, with a few minor areas that could be improved."

"We had a great stay at this resort in Genting, Tioman Island. The best part was that our room had direct access to the beach, and the surroundings were peaceful and quiet. It’s an ideal place for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with a traditional kampung vibe. One downside was that there were quite a lot of ants in the room, but I suppose that’s fairly common on a tropical island. Genting itself is very quiet and doesn’t have much to offer. If you want to join snorkeling or diving trips, they usually require a minimum of six participants. We were traveling with a child and wanted to go snorkeling, and the resort staff went the extra mile to make it happen by arranging for us to join guests from another resort. We really appreciated their effort. If you’re looking for more activities or dining options, you can take a scenic 30-minute walk through the jungle to Paya Village, which is much livelier. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay. The friendly and helpful staff made a big difference"

"This hotel never failed me, we had enjoyed the stays there. The hotel is quite a distance from the town (20mins taxi ride, but we enjoyed the scenery along the way). The hotel is not crowded, u can fully relax and enjoy the breeze without the crowds. The room is can consider clean, 2 queen size beds in a room are for my children. I asked for an extra mattress which charged me rm50 per night, I have encountered bed bugs sleeping on the mattress(but my two children beds are clean, they did not have the issue of bed bug). The hotel serve nice food, but a bit pricey. However, there are Malay stalls nearby which charged slightly cheaper and the food taste good as well. The hotel provides sea sports like snorkeling, diving, volleyball, jungle trekking, and there are band playing music (not during Ramadan). We will definitely come back."

"Location : super private, very clean and very well kept. Staff service : friendly, attentive. Shout out to Rudra, Pika, Afiq, and their kitchen crew Wani. they say that the people is the heart and soul of the brand and it reflects immensely in the boathouse. Even the director of operations took his rounds to walk and chatted us up. Thank you Thevan. Room : very new and clean tho sound insulation is abit of an issue. But it’s all good. Internet : good and stable. This part of the island cuts off coverage if you have a local sim. Amenities : For now, it’s just jungle tracking with ATV or island hopping/diving. What can be improved : 1. perhaps more upbeat music at the bar area for people to let loose. 2. weekends when there are more people, a fire performance or a light show/drone or something. So that there is a slight group entertainment. 3. Pier could be abit more lighted to see the sea during the night."

"I loved this place. While rustic, the room and shower are decent and functional. I especially loved the hammock on the balcony and spent too much time lazing on it. With the amazing sea view and breeze, and very laid back vibes, it's really hard not to. No need to spend time in the room. Amazing and accommodating hosts; they try their best. We're very appreciative. Thank you, guys!! We got the air con room and did not get mosquitoes. Yes, walls are thin, so no hanky panky.. ;p Yes, there was loud music from an open bar at the other end of the chalet. We managed to sleep through the night regardless. The loud waves drowned most of the sound. Will defo come back here if we're heading this area again. Some tips: 1. Do bring bathroom slippers/flip flops for comfort 2. Do bring a hanging toiletries case as there is no place to put your toiletries 3. While I ended up not needing them, I still brought mosquito coils with me"

"Figures 1 to 5 are the interior and exterior of the hotel. The location is a relatively secret bay. There are about 20 such wooden villas in total. When you check in and leave the store, the staff will queue up to welcome you, but all employees will not be a little Chinese. The so-called own beach, the water quality is not as good as near the public pier. Anyway, swimming, snorkeling and fishing are not good. There is basically no signal on the mobile phone. Only the hotel's own restaurant can eat. There is white rice (pizza, burger). Dinner needs to be booked before 14:00, otherwise you can be hungry. The price is not expensive, dare to say that he is poor, 18 MYR popsicles for your reference. For foreigners who want to find a secret beach, after eating a free breakfast, they will mix from morning to night with a free beer. This hotel is very good for foreigners who are sunbathing on the beach. But for Chinese families like us who want to go swimming, snorkeling, fishing, and eating seafood, the holiday in this hotel has become a robbery, and everything can be achieved by the recent paya. For this, you have two options: working time on a water taxi RM350; like us in Figure 6, an hour and a half back through the virgin forest full of mosquitoes and snakes... Thank you for giving the hotel a ”special forces survival challenge tour”, and collect more than 500 MYR environmental tax before leaving!"

As a diver, I greatly appreciated the balance that B&J strikes between enjoyment and safety. Every dive was well-organized and professionally conducted. Safety briefings were thorough, equipment checks were carried out carefully, and the dive guides remained attentive throughout the dives. Despite maintaining high safety standards, the team ensured that the dives remained enjoyable and memorable. Their familiarity with local dive sites allowed us to maximize our underwater experience while feeling secure at all times. It is reassuring to dive with professionals who clearly prioritize guest safety without compromising the fun and excitement of exploring the reefs. Another highlight of staying at B&J was the abundance of delicious food available nearby. The resort’s location provides easy access to a variety of eateries offering local Malaysian dishes, fresh seafood, Western options, and refreshing drinks. After a day spent underwater, it was wonderful to have so many excellent dining choices within walking distance. The combination of great diving and great food made every day on the island something to look forward to. Overall, my stay at B&J Tioman Dive Resort was outstanding. The clean accommodation, warm and friendly staff, professional dive team, strong safety culture, and excellent food options combined to create an unforgettable holiday experience. I would not hesitate to recommend B&J to anyone visiting Tioman Island, whether they are experienced divers, new divers, or simply looking for a relaxing island getaway.
