"This hotel is about 1.5 km from Tsuruoka JR Station. The nearest bus stop is 'Science Park.' There's a direct bus from Yamagata Airport, but other bus connections are unavailable, making transportation a bit inconvenient; it's more suitable for those traveling by car.
The hotel itself is newly renovated, surrounded by rice paddies, offering a beautiful and clean environment. Breakfast is a Japanese-style buffet featuring locally sourced ingredients. "I spent two nights in Tokyo Daiichi Hotel Tsuruoka and I would stay there again. The location is very good - ten minutes easy walk from Tsuruoka JR train station and it's directly connected to S-Mall, so you don't even have to go outside to access the shops and restaurants in the mall. There is also a bus terminal at the mall for local buses - I caught a bus from there to Mount Haguro.
The bedroom was a good size for a Japanese business hotel with a good size desk and chair. However, I could only find one power socket! It's good that I brought a power *****! Typical of Japanese hotels with Onsen / Sentō the bathroom is small - most people would use the public bath facilities to shower.
The hotel has a Japanese style bath, however it was in the annexe, so it was rather confusing the first time I tried to find it. Two of the baths were inaccessible - the door was locked. The main bath was okay, there is a sauna and cold plunge pool.
The front desk were very polite, efficient and could speak basic English."

"As it is a long-established luxury inn, there are no problems with the facilities or the service.
However, one thing that bothered me was that I had to wait a long time for dinner when I went to the dining room at the designated time. There were no strings to fasten the sleeves of the yukata anymore. It may have been a coincidence, but it was a great disappointment for a luxury inn that I rarely go to."

Einfaches Ryokan, etwas hellhörig. Die Inhaber sprechen sehr gut Englisch und sind sehr freundlich. Das Essen war fantastisch. Sehr günstige Lage für den Besuch des Hagurosan.

Loved this place!! The host was so lovely and held conversation with us even with our broken Japanese haha, gave us maps / guides for the Dewa Sanzan and even asked us about our itinerary for the next day (as we were going to climb the other 2 mountains, he made sure we knew the bus timings).
It was such a nice traditional ryokan, with comfy tatami, public ofuro (hot steaming bath that felt great after climbing Hagurosan), yukata, and even tea powder and biscuits set out in the room :”) Our room had a wash basin and sofa chairs as well, but not sure if that's for all rooms. We paid 660yen each for breakfast taken away (2 big onigiri balls!) but couldn't have dinner added on (so make sure you check beforehand, because most places in the town close by 5pm).
Overall 100% recommend staying here! Loved our stay, thank you :)

Linhai Japanese-style hot spring hotel, the beautiful proprietress will come to say hello in the morning and evening. The Bohai Sea outside the window has a beautiful view. The interior is decorated with replicas of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses shipped from Xi'an, China. The hotel has 58 rooms. It is said that most of the guests in Taiwan and South Korea. After the epidemic, there were fewer mainland guests and did not recover. The room is with Western style, tatami hall, Western style twin bed.

The hotel can directly see the invincible sea view. If the weather is good, you can enjoy the sunset. The Japanese dinner is very delicious. The breakfast is also very rich. The hot spring is also very comfortable! like very much

The inn was nice and the open-air bath was wonderful. However, the site guide said that breakfast was buffet style and I made a reservation, but when I checked with the front desk, it was explained that the buffet style was abolished after Corona. Thanks to that, my 10-year-old daughter couldn't take what she liked and eat it, and for breakfast I only ate clam miso soup and salad with ham. Very disappointing. The guest room is also described as a guest room with a river view bath, and the photo of the guest room bath was nice, so I made a reservation, but it was very disappointing because it was a completely different bath. Ordinary narrow cypress covered with walls rather than view? Of course, I didn't use it just because it had a bath, and I enjoyed only the hot springs. It's a really wonderful inn, so I would like the publication side to guide you to the facility.

夕食はカニ食べ放題🦀に目の前で揚げてくれる天ぷらなど、お腹いっぱいです。
朝ごはんも種類豊富で7時からでしたが大勢の方が食事されてました。何度もお風呂に入る人にはタオル補充いただけると助かります
