"We stayed in a cube room. A great location to just spend the night and see the area. But, since it is a converted container, it quickly cools down on cold nights and you have to constantly heat the air with an air conditioner, and it is quite noisy. Not critical, but we were unable to get a good night's sleep"

"Stayed here for one night on our second visit to Naoshima in almost 10 years. The lodge is quite close to the main port, but it’s up on a hill — so if you’re travelling with heavy luggage, the walk up can be a bit of a workout. That said, there’s a luggage delivery service about a 5-minute walk from the port. We paid around ¥2,800 for two large suitcases (pickup and return), which made things much easier. Bike rental was about ¥1,500 per day. The lodge itself is clean and fairly spacious. Being on top of the hill gives you a really nice view over the island and out to the ocean. AC worked well, everything was straightforward, and nothing really went wrong. Simple, comfortable stay. Would consider staying again."

"quaint cottage but the reception is at another location which was not an easy drive cos of the narrow road. the cottage is lovely and spacious with free parking right outside. however if u want PJ you have rent from the reception. Also the bathroom and toilet is tiny. so if u are a big person, you might have some problems. bed was comfortable but only 1 pillow per person."
