"Staying at the Wyndham Xinyang while passing through, and it definitely lives up to its five-star rating; the management is excellent. The room was spotless; I even took a photo from the bathroom's perspective, showing how bright and spacious it was. The lobby is grand with a lotus painting, and the upstairs carpets feature plum blossom designs—all very artistic. The service was fantastic; I was greeted everywhere I went, which made me feel very welcome. I didn't get to try the shuttle service this time, but I'll make sure to experience it next. Highly recommend it! I'm not sure if I'll be back in Xinyang, but I'll certainly recommend this hotel to my friends."

"Stayed two nights in Xinyang for a food tour. This hotel was fantastic, really exceeded my expectations! Parking was convenient, the room was well-equipped, and hot water was instant. "It's a nice hotel, spacious room, very comfortable bed. Solid Chinese style breakfast is offered. Everything was very clean. They have a projector instead of TV and I enjoyed watching movies and cartoons. XinYang city is ABSOLUTELY amazing, parks, rivers, bridges ... I truly enjoyed driving a round the city."

"Located in the heart of the old city, the Shihe Hotel occupies a vast area with an extravagantly large parking lot. Staying here feels like stepping back into the 1990s municipal government guesthouse; a plaque at the entrance even reads ”Shihe Hotel Militia Company,” though I forgot to take a picture, which gives you an idea of ​​the hotel's former prestige. Although it's a three-star hotel, it lives up to its reputation as a long-established hotel. The location is excellent, and the facilities are still complete, though a bit dated. However, the price-performance ratio is quite high; the room rate is reasonable, and parking is convenient and free. It would be even better if breakfast were included. Next door, there's a large sports field open to the public, where many people run, play ball, and exercise. The nearby Shihe Park is also very lively, making it very convenient for sightseeing in Xinyang."

"The front desk service was good, helped me upgrade the room, and there were children's slippers and toothbrushes. "The room was excellent and clean. We particularly enjoyed the great breakfast and excellent afternoon tea, not to mention the welcome fruit. The surroundings were lovely, and the service was good overall. However, the WiFi was terrible; it kept disconnecting and eventually stopped working altogether. When I tried to call for children's slippers at 10:30 PM, no one answered the phone. The elevators had no fan or air conditioning. Exiting the parking lot was inconvenient as we had to call the front desk to be let out, a detail we weren't informed of during check-in. This is definitely an area for improvement."

I chose this guesthouse based on reviews on Ctrip, and it turned out to be quite good. The room was clean and tidy, the sheets and blankets were spotless, and the cleaning was thorough, making for a comfortable stay. All the facilities were complete. The owner was very welcoming and carefully pointed out various things to note when visiting nearby attractions. He also told me where to find reasonably priced local food. Finally, what really enhanced my impression was that you could rent the owner's electric scooter for 10 yuan. It was incredibly convenient for sightseeing, and the scooter was clearly a very good one (I highly recommend renting an electric scooter if you're going to Nanwan Lake; I've included photos of Nanwan Lake below). In conclusion, I highly recommend it; it's great value for money.

This stay experience is particularly good! The hotel is conveniently located and convenient for travel and dining. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, the bathroom was dry and wet, and the facilities were complete. A large shopping centre (Wanda Plaza) is next door with a huge array of Chinese franchised food outlets alongside KFC and Starbucks. A good spread of affordable to prestige clothing brands as well. Many empty shops, though, point to economic stresses in this market. The breakfast is standard Chinese hotel fare so if you're expecting a range of gourmet cereals and breads you'll be disappointed. Turning to the room itself. No room clock and a huge television screen that turns on every time you put your key in the slot are minor annoyances. The television screen has no apparent access to audio-visual inputs which seems a wasted opportunity to me. I want to watch my own media on the television screen. The room is a good size and quite quiet. The bed was firm but not hard. Blackout curtains work well and windows can be partially opened. I observed that any non-smoking regulation was not observed by all guests. Perhaps in the major markets that's more enforced. There is no laundry service as far as I could tell. The shower stall is my main concern and this might apply only to my room. The drain is VERY slow and the recess quickly fills with water. The floor is flat, so water does not naturally flow to the drain, leaving the shower recess always wet and a potential mould hazard. No complaints from me about the lack of staff who speak English. This is a new hotel catering mainly to Chinese travellers. While I have some concerns about the standard of building construction finish I can't fault the staff for their attentiveness and friendliness. If the location suits you the value is obvious. Note that guest rooms are on floors 18 and 19 so expect to spend some time waiting for the slow lift.

The room arranged for me at the front desk was the opposite of the room I asked for when I booked the room. Saying that you don't need to rely on the elevator to have a high floor room to be quiet, it is all the opposite. The room still has a smell, like the smell of the hotel box that has not been cleaned for a long time, smelling cough. Thinking about sleeping for one night, it will be fine. The soundproofing of the room is still poor. The TV sound lasts until 5 am. I don't know if it is next door or upstairs. I looked at it, and the room was set almost a month in advance, which was dozens of dollars cheaper than the price set by the room on the day of **. This is a photo of the room fan. A very nice hotel, located on a main road with convenient access, not far from the highway exit. There are many restaurants nearby, and the hotel itself also has an outdoor restaurant, making dining quite convenient. Parking is available in both surface and underground parking lots, with entrances and exits adjacent to each other, allowing for flexible selection. Personally, I found the surface parking more convenient, as it's seamlessly integrated with the elevators and lobby.

After a busy day, you can drive along the Xihe River to experience its serene beauty and tranquil atmosphere, or cycle through the former capital of the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Area to pay homage to its heroes and reconnect with your roots!

Before the Qingming holiday, I went back to my hometown to stay in Zhongzhou. The sanitary conditions were very good and the service was in place. I took the children back to my hometown for the first time. The children were not satisfied with the stomach. The hotel made millet porridge and sent fruit to the room every day.
