"This hotel in Ordos exceeded my expectations! The lobby is grand, and the room is spacious and bright, with comfortable bedding that guaranteed a good night's sleep. The breakfast offers a wide variety, with the Mongolian milk tea and dairy products being particularly unique. The staff were warm and attentive, proactively recommending local attractions. The location is convenient, making it easy to drive or take a taxi to Genghis Khan Mausoleum and Xiangshawan Desert. Good value for money, I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit."

"The room was quite quiet. I slept with the window open at night and didn't hear much car noise in the morning. The airplane-themed breakfast was also very rich, and my child really enjoyed the experience. We went down to eat at 9 AM and didn't encounter any long queues. I spent the weekend with family and friends visiting the Desert Herdsman Homestay, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended! The courtyard landscaping is very tasteful, with an exquisite and elegant Chinese-style welcoming pine tree. Sitting in the private courtyard, enjoying tea and conversation is incredibly relaxing. The outdoor barbecue area is well-planned, with tables suitable for small gatherings, a large canopy with a rainproof roof for team building meals, and a full range of commercial grills, making it convenient for self-service grilling skewers and roasting whole lamb. The elevated camping platform under the trees offers shade from the native forest, decorated with Mongolian patterns that add a local touch, creating a fantastic tent camping atmosphere. The owner cleverly uses the well house as a popular photo spot, with auspicious text and koi fish decorations, resulting in excellent photos. Nestled in the countryside, backed by cornfields and protective forests, the environment is quiet and free from urban noise, with low light pollution at night, allowing for clear stargazing. The venue is well-maintained, with gravel paving and hardened floors that are both aesthetically pleasing and fireproof and drainage-resistant. The owner is warm and welcoming, and food and equipment can be booked in advance. It's suitable for short trips to the suburbs, family gatherings, company team building, and camping stays. It's a rare gem of a rural homestay in the Dalate Banner area, with an elegant and pristine environment, thoughtfully designed photo spots, and attentive service. It's suitable for team building and family trips. The hygiene details are handled meticulously, making it a worry-free experience. Every facility and room is newly renovated, with coordinated colors for the bedding and curtains. The rooms are clean, bright, and comfortable, and quiet, perfect for relaxation.

Overall it is OK. The special room I lived in was very large and spacious. The bedding was also changed for each guest (because the cover was wet when we checked in, it proved to be just changed). The front desk service is also very enthusiastic and needs to be solved in time. It is also very convenient to eat nearby. The only downside is that the air conditioner is also cooling and the noise is quite loud. The bath water is also hot and cold. But it does not affect the accommodation.

Few of the amenities listed on the listing page are available. Maybe they were at some point in the past long ago, but this hotel is far from in its prime. There is no sauna. The ”bath center” where this was has been converted into a commercial spa for a business unrelated to the hotel. There is no night club. There is no ”gym” as shown in one of the pictures. I believe a lot of the pictures shown on the listing page are years if not decades old. There is no ”boutique”. There is one tiny convenience store on the first floor. The hotel has a restaurant on the second floor. I only used it for the free breakfast which was good. The hotel largely focuses on catering to business events. They have meeting spaces and a big ornate looking meeting space. For normal travellers, this hotel is very bare bones. Service was great. The staff are friendly and helpful. The laundry is not self service. You need to pay per article of clothing for someone to take it. The room itself lacked a minibar, functional air conditioning, or a functional safe. It was very spartan. Would I come here again? Not for the listed price. Without any of the advertised amenities, I can't imagine this is much better than cheaper hotels in the area.

This is a great campsite! You can go sandboarding right outside your tent, and it's conveniently located on Yuessha Island, making the water park easily accessible. There's no breakfast, but dinner is a self-serve hotpot and BBQ outdoors. It's a bit pricey, but the food is decent. They also have performances and activities for kids. The transfers and luggage handling were prompt, and the butler service was attentive. The only downside is the noise from the wind and sand when it gets windy in the desert at night – the tents shake, which disrupts sleep. There's no soundproofing, but they do provide earplugs and eye masks, which helps. Overall, I recommend it!

I'm so glad we booked our stay inside the Xiangshawan Desert Scenic Area! It made everything so incredibly easy. Each room came with 6 bottles of water, and the air conditioning was already on before we even arrived. Even though it's a yurt, the interior space is very large, and the private bathroom is super clean. The hotel's services were all excellent. The all-inclusive meals were not at all superficial; each meal featured local specialties like lamb offal soup, savory milk tea, and plenty of beef and lamb. The quality was on par with outside restaurants, and we all agreed their milk tea was the best we had during our entire trip. After a fun day exploring the two islands, returning to the hotel wasn't boring at all. In the evenings, there were disco parties, firework displays, and stargazing. Every event was well-organized and very entertaining. It truly lived up to its nickname, 'Desert Disney'! Definitely worth the trip!

Our family of four (with two children) traveled to Inner Mongolia, and overall, our stay was fantastic! We were all extremely satisfied. The hotel offered a wide range of family-friendly activities, including sandboarding, trampolines, a swimming pool, and a kids' play area. The children had an absolute blast, and even without leaving the hotel, they could have a full and enjoyable day. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets were all delicious, with a wide variety of dishes and great flavors. The hotel's lounge also provided a selection of snacks and drinks, which we could enjoy freely, allowing our family to relax and unwind. Furthermore, getting to the nearby desert from the hotel was very convenient, just a short drive away. In the desert, we could experience various activities, including camel riding, which the children absolutely loved. The hotel also arranged a wealth of special activities, such as stargazing tours, sunrise viewing, and bonfire performances and fireworks suitable for the whole family, allowing us to experience unique moments that are hard to find in everyday life. For families with children, the hotel's environment and facilities are exceptionally well-appointed. We were very pleased with the dining, activities, and service. If any friends plan a family trip to Inner Mongolia in the future, I will definitely recommend this hotel! It's absolutely worth staying at!

The shower was small, and the room wasn't big either. I was thinking the cleanliness would be acceptable, but then there was a wet towel left under the sink... To make matters worse, there was a municipal power outage. The room was right next to the stairs, and there was a lot of noise from people carrying luggage downstairs early in the morning. The room wasn't soundproof either. The air conditioner didn't work either. The worst part was that I thought I could at least get some sleep even if it was noisy, but then the power came back on, and the TV automatically turned on again. I turned off the TV, and then the power went out again, then came back on, and the TV turned on again, then went out again. I was completely unable to sleep. Because of the power outage, there was no food for breakfast, and I had to use two candles to keep the other things warm. How could they even charge for breakfast? Breakfast was listed as an extra charge when I booked the room. While the municipal power outage is unavoidable, it definitely affected the experience. I specifically chose a new hotel, and the entrance was hard to find. Three cars behind us all went to the wrong entrance.

We brought our kids to experience the Desert Starry Sky Capsule, and they absolutely loved the space-themed design the moment they saw it! The camp is located right in the desert, so you can go sandboarding and play in the sand right outside your door. The kids had an amazing time. The room was spotlessly clean, with plenty of hot water available 24/7, and all the amenities were comprehensive. The staff were warm and friendly, and the camp food was delicious and reasonably priced. There was also a lively bonfire party at night, and we even went stargazing in the desert. Overall, the parent-child experience was fantastic and it's highly recommended for families traveling with children!
