"This is probably one of the best hotels in the area, and it's very conveniently located. The facilities are excellent, and the breakfast offers a wide variety, including hot and cold beverages and coffee. There are plenty of staff, and the bespectacled gentleman at the front desk was particularly helpful. He told us about some great local restaurants, and on the day we checked in, it was very foggy and humid. He kindly advised us to wear masks when going out to avoid inhaling too much moisture, which was very thoughtful. My only minor suggestion for the hotel is regarding the gym equipment on the second floor near the entrance. It gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Perhaps it could be moved to a different spot, as it was quite chilly checking in with the main doors wide open on such a day."

"This is the most satisfying and recommended hotel during this trip to Yunnan. 1️⃣The location is very advantageous. After booking the hotel, when you arrive at the scenic spot, the staff will drive a sightseeing car to pick you up for free. You can also enjoy the flowers and take photos on the way. The hotel is just at the foot of the hill where you can watch the sunrise. It takes about five minutes to walk to Mu Mu in the morning. On the plank road, after checking out, the staff will take us out of the scenic area without turning back. We can just see the entire Jinji Peak Cong scenic area in a circle. Every room can see the sea of flowers, and we are truly lying in the sea of flowers; 2️⃣ The staff at the hotel are very enthusiastic. Everyone is very nice and comfortable. Both the language and attitude are very good. The two beauties also made an appointment for us to take photos and helped us carry our bags. Anyway, the service is excellent; 3️⃣ It is especially recommended to dine at his home. The chef is top-notch and the food is picked from the fields by the staff on site. "Overall, it was a very satisfying travel experience. For a small county town, it's a very nice hotel, full of local flavor. After dinner, there was a road near the hotel lined with jacaranda trees, a truly dreamy sight. The next morning, I had some hot rice noodles near the hotel, then went back to the hotel for a hot shower, a nap, and then checked out (check-out time is 2 PM). Everything was very relaxing and leisurely. It's a pity we didn't have enough time to stay longer; I definitely want to explore more next time. The front desk service was very attentive, and the hotel was very clean. I'll definitely stay at the Luoping Grand Hotel again next time. Also, the barbecue recommended by the front desk was delicious."

KKuailededashu2067I booked this room during the blooming season, just like many other travelers who came to see the canola fields. The owners were incredibly warm and attentive. The guesthouse itself is surrounded by beautiful scenery, and the room offered stunning views at an excellent value. The home-cooked meals served at the guesthouse were also delicious, hot, clean, and hygienic. The only minor downside was that the village was completely packed that night, with all rooms fully booked, which meant the hot water supply for showers was a bit slow.

GGuest UserI can't believe it's 2025, and there are still such wonderful hostels in China: bookstores, music, drinks, courtyards, and incredibly cool owners... a cultural utopia in Luoping County, Qujing City, Yunnan Province. It's a haven of cleanliness, a great location, excellent amenities, and a remarkably quiet environment. I hope Luoping 97 Bookstore Hostel stays open for a hundred years! Right now, I'm at Guiyang Longdongbao Airport T3 Terminal, about to board a Xiamen Airlines flight back to Nanjing. Yunnan, Guizhou, and Sichuan are a hub of delicious food and a gathering place for all kinds of culinary experts. This isn't my first time here, and it won't be my last. By the way, the hostel owner told me about the Time YHA Hostel in Yongyuan Alley next to the Presidential Palace in Nanjing. That's where my stays at China International Youth Hostels began, the place where a beautiful dream started... I miss the pre-pandemic hostel era, cherish everything I have now, and look forward to the future. Attached is a picture: the sunset I saw from the owner's rooftop that night. HHuahongzhenguiOur primary goal was to visit Luoping's Jinji Fengcong (Golden Rooster Hills) and its vast rapeseed fields, so we meticulously chose and booked the highly-rated Xinyuan Dream Guesthouse on Ctrip, conveniently located within the scenic area. It was spotlessly clean, tidy, and comfortable, and our spacious view room offered direct views of Jinji Fengcong. After staying here, we realized that staying within the scenic area is absolutely the best choice, saving both time, effort, and money.
The guesthouse is run by a young, university-educated couple. The proprietress is a sweet, friendly, and charming young lady; her radiant smile is as captivating as the blooming rapeseed flowers themselves. They offer freshly prepared dishes and rice for all three meals, which are excellent value for money and taste wonderfully fresh and light. The owner even personally drove us to the scenic area entrance in his electric cart, which was incredibly thoughtful.
Right outside the guesthouse, there's a field of rapeseed flowers (Pic 2) where every casual snap turns into a stunning photo. Public transport is also conveniently accessible right outside the entrance. I've already recommended it to all my friends on social media who are planning a trip here!

The shower head in the bathroom has enough water. The rice noodles and porridge for breakfast taste good. The homestay is close to the rapeseed flower scenic area, and you can also see the flower fields on one side from the window. Before booking, I was a little hesitant because I saw some reviews (reviews in early 2023) pointing out that there were some flaws in the homestay. I specifically called the homestay to ask if those problems had been solved. The person in charge who answered the phone told me with certainty that those problems were no longer there and I could book with confidence, and explained in detail the causes of the problems and the measures to solve them. It is a reliable store!

GGuest UserThis hotel is located near Pinde Village, just behind Luoping's Jinjifengcong (Golden Rooster Peaks Cluster). The road leading to the hotel also happens to be the entrance to the Jinji Peak Forest Scenic Area, so we encountered some traffic when we arrived. However, the scenery along that road is absolutely beautiful. This village, unlike Jinji Village, is much quieter and more peaceful. Overall, despite being called a 'resort manor,' it feels more like a 'farmhouse stay' (nongjiale). The proprietress is quite a character herself.
