"The hotel is relatively new and in good health condition. The first day I called and made an appointment to pick up the car at the high-speed rail station. I checked again before getting off the high-speed train the next day and found that no car appointment was arranged. Fortunately, I confirmed again in advance and made a temporary car appointment. "It is across the road from Guilin West Station, a little further up the road. This is supposed to be a suburb. I didn't feel anything when I checked in during the day, but when I went out and came back in a taxi at night, it was pitch black everywhere, with no people and no shops, which was quite scary. I chose a room close to the high-speed rail station because I had to catch a train early in the morning. But the room was unexpected. We booked a parent-child room, which was very large, with good decoration and bedding. The facilities are a little old, and the bathroom has a dry and wet separation. There are only 2-3 such village homestays nearby, and this room should be the best. There is a farm restaurant in the village next to it. We had dinner at Pan's Restaurant in the city. The restaurant is very old and the environment is very average, but the taste is like those old restaurants. The Pipa Duck and Plum Spare Ribs we ordered are not bad, and the blanched cuttlefish is just average. The four dishes for three people cost less than 200 yuan."

"The room was fine and the service was friendly as well. However, we had requested a non-smoking room, and the first one they gave us smelled very strongly of tobacco. We mentioned it, and they changed it for us without any problem, but the second room had the same issue. The rooms smelled a lot like tobacco."

"I happened to visit Guilin during the rainy season, so I barely went out and spent almost the entire day at the hotel. On the day I checked in, I arrived quite early, and since they had rooms available, they allowed me to check in ahead of time, which was very thoughtful. The service and reception throughout my stay felt very natural; they weren't constantly trying to upsell me on things. Since I spent most of my time in the hotel room, I got to explore all its features. Even though my room wasn't on a very high floor, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the cleanliness was impeccable. I *stumbled upon a chicken pot restaurant*, and as soon as the rain let up, I went out to try it. And with that, my trip to Guilin came to an abrupt end."

"The hotel is a bit further from the North Railway Station than others if you're walking. When we arrived, the exterior looked a bit rundown, with several hotel signs missing letters, which actually scared my child and made them not want to stay. However, inside the room, the bedding, tables, and chairs were quite new. The bathroom, on the other hand, wasn't well-maintained; the toilet had cracks, which also made my child uncomfortable. We checked in during the Chinese New Year, and the hotel even gave us a small New Year's gift. This is one of the reasons I often choose Rujia (Home Inn); I stayed years ago during New Year's too, and it's nice to receive a festive gift, big or small. We checked in quite late, and only a street-facing room was available, but the front desk thoughtfully provided earplugs, which was a nice touch."

The owners—a fantastic and lovely couple—made me feel more like a welcomed guest in their home than just a visitor at a hotel. The hotel itself is like a small palace, full of charm and character, and even features its own museum, which adds a unique and fascinating touch.
Every single moment spent here was pure joy. The ambience is simply magical—peaceful, elegant, and full of history. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and special, treating me with genuine kindness and care. The entire place was impeccably clean, and it’s clear that a lot of love and attention goes into maintaining this gem.
This is not the kind of hotel you come across every day. It’s truly one of a kind, and I feel so lucky to have discovered it. I can’t recommend it highly enough and I’ll definitely be coming back

GGuest UserI spent a long time searching on Ctrip before, and I saw this Shiyu Smart Hotel with its fresh-looking pictures and knowing it was newly renovated, well-decorated, and highly rated. So I navigated here. The lobby was very clean and bright, looking quite upscale. I actually booked after arriving at the hotel. I've had experiences before where I booked online and then the actual place was totally different, so I usually check out a place in person before booking. As soon as I walked into the lobby, I knew it was a good choice. My stay experience was genuinely excellent, definitely worth praising! It's just a few minutes' walk from the North Station. The room also had a faint, pleasant scent. It features voice AI control and a projector, making it very smart. The bed and floor in the room were spotless and very tidy. It looked incredibly comfortable. The bedding was also great, and the mattress was very comfortable. The soundproofing was excellent too. The hotel staff were very warm and helpful. My stay exceeded my expectations; at this price point, it's incredibly good value. It truly feels like a star-rated experience. Staying in a hotel like this for this price is just too good, an amazing deal. It was extremely clean and tidy. When I come back to Guilin for Chinese New Year, I'll definitely stay here again.

FFlippie PrinslooThis has been truly a spectacular find. Wow wow wow!! Since before our arrival the staff has sent me a list of things to do during our stay. They have been so helpful and accommodating. It wasn't overcrowded with people. When we arrived someone took our luggage to our room and the friendliest lady gave us a tour of the surroundings and then we took an Ox cart over the river towards our room 😱. We made our own chopsticks, we swam in the river, my wife made her own tie dye scarf, and we had such a fun evening with catching fish with our bare hands🤣
My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. We will most definitely come back to this destination.

LLaladaxiongSeriously, this is one of the most comfortable hotels I've ever stayed in, and I'm going to elaborate on it.
Hotel Location: Just a five-minute walk from Guilin North Station, it's very easy to find. I was initially worried about being so close to the railway tracks, but it wasn't at all. It was incredibly quiet at night. Even the green train passing by the track closest to the hotel in the morning wasn't loud at all, about the same volume as an electric train, so at night, it was practically inaudible.
Facilities: There's an elevator. It seems the hotel has just opened, and it's like moving into a new building. The floors are clean, and the decor is simple and comfortable, a bit like living in your own room. My room was small, but bright and spacious enough for two suitcases. The TV was a Xiaomi, the air conditioner was a Haier, and the TV could project the screen. The hair dryer was also new.
Cleanliness: Extremely clean. Upon entering the room, there was no odor at all, and the air was well ventilated. The sheets looked like new, the bed was large and comfortable, and the wooden floors were spotless. The bathroom looked very clean and comfortable, with plenty of hot water, though the temperature was a little difficult to adjust and it was a bit cramped. But the cleanliness was key, and that's why I chose this hotel. The only downside is that the drain outside the shower area is a bit slow, causing water to easily accumulate.
The hotel seems to rent electric bikes. I was in Guilin for a day, so I used one, but it was slow and difficult to ride. However, it only took a little over half an hour to get downtown, which was a nice breeze and a stroll. A taxi to the city center took only 20 minutes and cost just over a dozen yuan. Hotels in the city center simply don't offer this price, and students looking for cheaper options often find the facilities to be dated. Whether you're on business or pleasure, staying at a clean, affordable hotel like this will truly enhance your experience. Highly recommended. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

It's quieter off the street, and convenient for dining and shopping downstairs. The food is good and affordable. The hostess was very friendly and helpful to us tourists. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThe guesthouse is located next to Daxu Ancient Town, just a two- or three-minute walk from the town and pier. You can see ancient buildings from the windows; the Li River flows by, and the decor is antique and elegant. The owner is warm and welcoming, making it highly recommended. However, the lively chatter of geese and roosters behind the guesthouse, along with the morning crowing of a rooster, adds a unique touch. The last two pictures show the specialty tofu that the owner of the small tavern opposite the guesthouse highly recommends.

We arrived quite late in the evening (around 10:00 p.m.), the hosts were waiting for us. The room provided to us was very spacious, with two large beds, the shower was also large. We did not need anything. But the cleanliness of the room was not ideal.
