"This was a very weird hotel experience. Firstly, the staff is great and were very responsive to any issues I had. That being said, the hotel has seen better days. I changed rooms, but both rooms had very dirty carpets and bathrooms which had traces of molding on the silicone connections, and the windows were, in my opinion, small. The showers were clean, but the hairs were not removed for a long time, and the water drained very slowly. During my stay, I even saw a small gecko run across the bathroom... The AC unit is terribly loud too, and I couldn't sleep the first night almost at all because of it. I later got used to it, but it still gave me troubles during nighttime. On the third day, around 8:25, the cleaning staff barged into the room unannounced. Even though I was awake, this created an awkward experience... Later, when they came again, they only quickly knocked before coming inside again... The hotel's breakfast is minimal, and poorly prepared. I'd recommend skipping it, and getting something from the street in front of the hotel instead. The location of the hotel is good, being only a 5 minute walk away from the entrance to the Mount Longhu scenic area entrance."

Fortunately, there's an elevator and the hygiene is acceptable. Its strength lies in its value for money, as we had a 65+ year old mother and a 5-year-old son with us. So, four people sharing a room was perfect. There were two 1.5-meter twin beds. A large restaurant connected to the hotel above enthusiastically solicits guests to eat there, but you can avoid it 😂 It's really not good; the cooking is worse than my family's. I don't know how such a large restaurant can survive; maybe it's all one-off business like ours. Searching on Dianping (a Chinese review platform), ”Chen Ji” is indeed a good option nearby. Anyway, all the restaurants have similar menus. For rice noodles, you have to go through a back alley to ”Hao Niu Dao” beef bone rice noodle shop, which has a wider selection and is also one of the better-tasting in the area. I suddenly had an epiphany about food: when you're out of town, you can still join the crowds and check reviews. Good restaurants don't necessarily offer delivery, but those that don't offer delivery yet aggressively solicit customers are definitely not good. 🤣"

"The hotel is right at the exit of the scenic bus service, right after you get off. I originally wanted to drive to the scenic area parking lot, but the front desk lady said it would be more convenient to just turn left and walk there, which was indeed the case. The room had obvious advantages: bunk beds, a yard with ducklings, and the kids loved it. However, it was the first room on the right after entering the hotel, and it was noisy early in the morning. Finally, the scenic area is beautiful and has abundant natural resources, and the bamboo raft ride was quite worth it. However, some of the fees were incredibly rip-off, practically asking for money. Especially avoid the horse riding! The horse rider said the ride was a long 2-3 miles (actually a short 9-minute walk). The other route the kids took took about 6-7 minutes. In such a short time, the guy first tricked me into taking a different route, then tried to collect money from my daughter while I was away! The reason they gave was the cost of running the horses (which is unsafe, especially for such a short distance). They're absolutely heartless for scamming children out of their money! Parents with children, beware of this scam."
