"5-Star Review for Best Western Plus Carlton Plaza Hotel, Victoria, BC My stay at the Best Western Plus Carlton Plaza Hotel in downtown Victoria was nothing short of exceptional, especially thanks to the front desk team's kindness in upgrading me to a suite. The suite was fantastic—extremely spacious at around 400-600 sq ft, with a full kitchen including fridge, stove, microwave, and dining area, plus a cozy sitting space and pull-out sofa that made it feel like home. Cleanliness stood out, with spotless rooms, fresh linens, and well-maintained facilities throughout this heritage property renovated in 2019. Thank you for choosing Bedford Regency Hotel Trademark Collection by Wyndham.

"The hotel is a hotel in the center of Victoria, a bar downstairs, and a bit noisy in the middle of the night. The facilities are old, there is floor heating and air conditioning, but the regulator is a bit problematic and not very warm. The TV is not a smart TV, you can see several local programs. I booked it for one night and will just take a look. The location is OK, you can walk to many places in the city center."

She was friendly, fast and so helpful with all of my questions and even gave me an extra duck! Our room was immaculate, smelled nice and the beds were so comfortable. Extra pillows in the closet was a definite bonus! The location from the hospital couldn’t have been better. And the lobby is awesome because they have a coffee machine and tea so you can fill your to go mugs and be on your way! Bin 4 burger is attached so grabbing a bite and drink was so convenient. 10/10-I would recommend this motel to anyone and look forward to staying there again!"

"This hotel is a bit dated, but the service is excellent. The front desk has a list of nearby international restaurants. I asked the Korean receptionist, and she recommended a Korean restaurant that was delicious. 😋…it was very helpful. 👍 The rooms don't have air conditioning; they only have fans. Also, some of the dishes in the kitchen weren't cleaned properly and felt sticky."

"The location is convenient! The service is excellent! Parking costs 30 yuan per day and requires leaving the car keys, but the service is great! The breakfast is simple but acceptable! However, it was disappointing: I had requested a room with a nice view in advance as it was for a birthday celebration, but I ended up with a low-floor room facing a construction site. The construction started at 7 AM, and the noise was quite unbearable!!!"

Hotel near Inner Harbour,Victoria
Unforgettable moments deserve extraordinary settings. Overlooking Victoria's Inner Harbour, Fairmont Empress ranks #2 in Travel + Leisure's 2024 Best Canadian Hotels. This Forbes-recommended, MICHELIN Key hotel offers 431 elegant rooms, a serene spa, and Q at the Empress with Pacific Northwest cuisine and award-winning wines. A visit isn't complete without world-famous Tea at the Empress, served in the Lobby Lounge with stunning Harbour views.

"I am writing to formally express my very serious dissatisfaction regarding the condition of my room and the overall standard of service during my stay. To be completely honest, the situation is far below what any reasonable guest would expect from a hotel of this category and price level. There is clearly long-term dust accumulation on the exhaust fan and in multiple corners of the room. This is not a matter of minor housekeeping oversight for a day or two it reflects a prolonged lack of proper maintenance and cleaning standards. Such conditions are unacceptable for a property that presents itself as a luxury establishment. Even more concerning is the foul, rotten odor coming from the sink water. Every time I brush my teeth or wash my hands, the unpleasant smell is immediately noticeable and deeply disturbing. This raises not only comfort issues, but also serious concerns about hygiene and water safety. At this level of accommodation, guests should never have to question the basic quality of the water provided in their room. I strongly believe this matter requires immediate professional inspection. I chose to stay at your hotel and willingly paid a premium rate because I expected a premium experience including cleanliness, attention to detail, and reliable service. Unfortunately, what I have encountered so far reflects a significant gap between the price charged and the quality delivered. In addition, despite leaving a tip for housekeeping and placing a written note clearly requesting replenishment, my shampoo was not refilled. I was eventually forced to go into the corridor to find another staff member for assistance. Cotton swabs were also not replenished for three consecutive days. These are very basic service expectations that should not require repeated reminders from guests. Taken together, these issues have had a substantial negative impact on my stay and overall impression of the hotel. I find this situation extremely disappointing and frankly inconsistent with the reputation and standards your brand claims to uphold. I would appreciate it if management could review this matter seriously and provide a clear and appropriate resolution."

"For winter days to travel to Victoria, choose days inn, this chain hotel, the night of stay is generally satisfied! The weekend is a bit expensive. I will choose to live here next time, suitable for transit. Environment: The location is very convenient. Take the 70 bus from the pier directly to the hotel, facing the Victoria Inner Port, next to the provincial council and commercial street, it is very close to where to go, and there are many food choices. Service: The service is very warm, I gave a 15% discount card for the restaurant, stored two luggages, silky check-in, platform reservations do not need credit card deposit Facilities: Generally OK, there is a large refrigerator, sufficient lighting, heating and air conditioning, and the bed is good to sleep. The facilities are old, the elevator is very old, the kettle is there but a bit unclean."

Amazing
MMillennial_saysThe moment you arrive at the hotel, you feel right at home. It's a small boutique hotel with a European flair. Imagine staying at grandma's house, where everything is taken care of and all you have to do is sit back, relax, and soak up the cozy atmosphere. We stayed on the second floor, and I'd like to point out that this hotel does not have an elevator. This hotel has a recreation room, a small restaurant attached to the main house, an outdoor seating area for breakfast, a small bar, and a gift shop. The staff are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We had an excellent stay. The location of the hotel is also important to consider. It is a short walk from downtown Victoria, where the main shopping street is located.

Amazing
CCindyTsangThe location is slightly off downtown; if you have a car, it's not a problem. Street parking is fine; you can pay $19 for a night. The flat is huge for two people. The facilities are in good condition. There are two Dyson fans, one in the living room and another in the bedroom. We were here in the summer, but the temperature at night was around 12-14. It's good not to have AC in the room, and the room still feels cool enough with the balcony door and the bottom windows opened in the bedroom and the living room, even without turning on the fans. There are washing machines with a drying function in the room, which are free to use, but you must bring your detergents or buy them at the front desk. I liked the living environment and the fresh air here. As it's off the main road, I enjoyed the silent evening without traffic noise.

GGuest UserThe location was lovely and the staff were very professional and friendly the lobby was nicely appointed and the restaurant was amazing.  I was put in a room on one of the lower floors that seemed a bit older and looked out into a garden or some kind.  The room I was given was directly opposite the elevator, and the noise was incredible from the hall and from the laundry facility above. The bed was comfortable, if a little too firm for my taste, but clean.  If I were to stay again I would request a different room for sure. The elevators were also mostly out of service resulting in long waits to get anywhere. I gave up and took the stairs twice.  It would also be nice if there was a drinks machine with the ice as I would have loved something besides coffee or tea.

JJianmincaiThe room is too small. Because it is very old, the soundproofing is also poor. I was woken up by people talking in the corridor in the middle of the night. There was no hot water supply when I checked in at 3 pm. I had to ask the front desk for it. Hot water was only available in the lobby in the morning.

GGuest UserTop notch service. Corner suite on the 6th floor had a killer view of the harbor and parliament building. Walking distance from restaurant and the BC museum. Really appreciated having a sitting space separate from the bedroom.  Everything was very nice but room not newly remodeled.  Nonetheless,  looking forward to an opportunity to stay there again.  Major flaw was the pool, sauna area was part of an attached gym. Not the spa experience I had hoped for.

GGuest UserMy friend and I were very impressed with the Arbutus Inn. It was a very clean hotel and was newly renovated. The renovations were very tasteful and our room was very nice. You could also tell that there were new beds. They were very comfortable and had a good design. I was especially impressed that there no ”smoke” smell in the rooms or in the hotel lobby. All in all it was a very good experience.

MMichellephenomenal experience at this amazing hotel. All the staff were so sweet and amazing. The indian front desk consoled us in the middle of the night at 4am when we thought the hotel was ******* (it wasn’t’t it’s just us). The hotel offered free gummy bears in the lobby, and when we asked for more, they gave us a whole bag!!! (1 kg, selling for 13 bucks on amazon) The gummies are also such good quality they melt right in my mouth when you put them in. The amenities are so chic and high quality i could eat a child. (my friend typed this idk what she meant) The kitchen equipment is also quite well. The staff also helped us scared a ghost away, we slept like a baby the second night after bathing in the tub. no ac was a bunmer tho.🤞🤞😩😩
