GGuest UserWe totally recommend this hotel.
It's in a beautiful old building, very well preserved and refurbished, and in a great location: in the Xidi old town, but a little bit more isolated, in the more quiet and less touristy area. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very stylish, it even had a tiny annexed studio room with desk and interesting books with a good kettle and tea set available. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a very nice bathtub and heated toilet. Our host was super nice and helpful, he came to pick us up and dropped us at the bus station at the end of our stay. He's really friendly and gave us some nice tips on visiting the surrounding villages. He has a very cute dog and a cuddly cat :)
Only negative comment: the room's window is on the side of the main road, so you can hear all the cars passing by. But even then, a great stay!

GGuest UserThe lady boss and the boss were very nice. They told me when we would arrive and waited for me. They took my luggage to the scenic area with a small electric car. The boss also took me to see the busy streets and introduced the route. It was very late and the boss helped me to contact a carpool to Huangshan Scenic Area. They were very enthusiastic. The hotel facilities were the same as those of chain hotels. It was also very quiet to sleep in the scenic area at night. There were no cars coming and going, only the chirping of insects and birds. The sound insulation of the houses in the scenic area was not very good.

Because it was raining heavily when I left, the boss even asked his wife to take me to the station in an electric car. It was a very considerate service! A very satisfying stay!

GGippiThe property is located in the heart of Hongcun, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the historic village on foot. As guests, you’re also entitled to discounted entrance tickets: just let the ticket office know you're staying here and they'll give you 50% off tickets. Room was exactly as in the photos, spacious, perfectly clean and featured a very comfortable bed and many accessories (bottled water, tv, haircomb, hairdrier, etc). The building’s traditional Chinese architecture was absolutely beautiful and on a rainy day, it created a wonderfully romantic atmosphere we will treasure forever in our memories. The staff were exceptionally helpful. They kindly met us to guide us to the hotel (since Apple Maps and AMaps can be a bit confusing in the area), provided umbrellas free of charge and even bring us back to the parking lot when we left. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hongcun!

BBaiwenburuyijianyaThis was my second stay. Hongcun is a great place to relax on weekends, and Zhang's Mansion is as cozy as ever. I told the manager in advance what I wanted to eat, and we ate right away. The food was all bought by the aunties at the manor that morning—fresh and delicious. The rooms are still in the same style, with a classic, antique charm. During the day, I strolled around the village, and in the evening, I went back to the manor to eat, drink, and sleep, relieving the fatigue of work.

GGuest UserThe most beautiful proprietress in Hongcun is not only beautiful, she also drives to and from the hotel herself. The service is meticulous and the accommodation environment is good. Although the soundproofing of the century-old wooden house is not good, everyone consciously goes to bed before ten o'clock. The village is very quiet. It was a two-day rest after coming down from Huangshan Mountain. It's great! Super five-star praise!

I was also very satisfied with the host's service; they were welcoming but not overly intrusive, and their recommendations for nearby restaurants were excellent. I'll definitely stay here again! A definite five-star review! The guesthouse's location is excellent, making it convenient for getting around. The room is beautifully decorated, full of artistic flair. MMontmorencyThe guesthouse is near the big tree at the village entrance. If you have luggage, head north from the west gate towards the tree; otherwise, entering from the west gate requires walking along a stone path, which is inconvenient for dragging suitcases. From the small square near the village entrance, turn right at the first intersection in the alley leading to Xie Yuda Tea Shop, then turn left at the next intersection – it's about a minute walk. It's a two-minute walk from the guesthouse to the west gate. After crossing the bridge, there are many restaurants, including traditional tea shops, and barbecue stalls at night. The guesthouse is located on the back street of the main commercial area, a good location yet quiet. The owner is very kind; when we went to the main gate or west gate, the owner even came to meet us and show us the way. Although it's a guesthouse, it's very clean. We stayed on the second floor, and it wasn't damp even in autumn and winter. The bathroom isn't a separate shower and toilet, but it's quite large for a guesthouse. Overall, it's a very suitable place to stay during a trip, allowing you to get up early and experience the tranquil beauty of a southern Anhui village.
