DDapengniaoWHYWe came here based on reviews. The room was clean and tidy, with floral bed sheets and other local touches. The facilities were in good condition. The bathroom was a bit small and didn't have a separate shower and toilet. The room faced north, and according to the landlady, the Northern Lights appear in the sky visible from this room's window. You can see the Northern Lights just by lying down. Unfortunately, we didn't see them. It was a bit chilly in early June, but we had electric blankets on the heated kang (a traditional Chinese bed), so it wasn't cold. We entrusted the landlady to arrange breakfast and dinner, which were delicious and clearly priced. The hotel is located right on the main road in the village center, only about 400 meters from the village entrance and the village committee—just a few minutes' walk. The back door leads directly to the Heilongjiang River embankment, with Russia across the river right in front of you. The scenery is beautiful, with mountains, water, and forests. It's a very nice guesthouse.

MMoyanmoyanyuThe owner was very friendly; we booked after viewing the room in person. For just over 50 yuan a standard room, what more could you ask for? The key point is that the heating was incredibly hot; clothes dried very quickly after being washed and hung on the radiator. The northernmost post office is just steps away, and the Qianziwanhong Restaurant next to it offers excellent value for money – highly recommended!

The room was really cold and there was no air conditioning. I had to negotiate with the boss for a long time before he heated up the room a little longer. Otherwise it would have been really cold. I just wanted to stay one night in the northernmost village, but I actually regret this decision a little bit. The good thing is that the inn can provide breakfast, and it is said that the small cakes for breakfast are made from the wheat they grew this year. The small cakes are delicious.
