Hot Springs Hotels in Abuta District

Booked this last minute, and it was the only small room left. Even in late March, near the end of the snow season, the hotel was fully booked. The 7 or 8 parking spots out front require a reservation and cost 4000 JPY per night. Although my room was small, it had a beautiful, unobstructed view of Mount Yotei. It was clean and tidy. The second photo in the middle is of a larger room type, which I hope to book in advance next time. The king crab ramen for lunch was 7600 JPY a bowl; the noodles weren't anything special, just a few extra crab legs.

This is a family trip for two adults and two kids. And we stayed in the hotel for 7 nights, bfast and dinner included. It's apparent in the booking that we will have kids in the stay, and yet either Trip.com/hotel charged us meals for 4 adults for the entire trip. We ended up overpaying A LOT and wasting A LOT of food because the kids couldn't finish the set meal. Yet the hotel refused to adjust / refund. This was a serious mistake made by Trip.com / hotel. The hotel provided shuttle bus to the ski resort. Good that there was early shuttle bus around 815am BUT the return shuttle was way too early (4pm) for any serious skiers. The hotel should offer more options. There was no gym in the hotel and difficult to do some proper full-body exercise. Onsen set up was nice and clean and tidy. The public onsen wasn't used much so it ended up a big private onsen for us. We like the traditional Japanese cusine but very disappointed that the chef provided limited changes on the menu during our 7 nights of stay. We spent roughly same number of nights elsewhere in Niseko and the design of their menu was way better. Staff in general was very helpful and friendly and some of them spoke English and Chinese. The hotel was short of staff IMO. I could see them running around in the hotel. The ski equipment room could be equipped with better facility to dry ski boots and gloves. Shuttle bus was only offered to Niseko but not Kutchan station which was in fact not too far away anyway. The room was clean and well maintained. The location of the hotel was great too. It's 10mins from the Niseko station and 5mins from annupuri ski run.

Thoughtfully, they arrange for you to change into comfortable slippers and offer a welcome drink; everything flows naturally and without pretense. I particularly remember a young female staff member with glasses who, with her fluent English and attentive, thorough explanations, made me feel incredibly comfortable and respected. Encountering such dedicated individuals during a trip is undoubtedly a rare stroke of luck. And the hotel's facilities are full of surprises! Outside the large public bath, complimentary drinks are available, along with table tennis and arcade games, adding a playful touch to your relaxation. The lobby features Japanese snacks and board games, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere; the relaxation area on the second floor is even more serene and comfortable – once you sit down, you won't want to leave. The dining experience here is simply sublime. Various alcoholic beverages are kept in ice buckets, freely awaiting wine enthusiasts! Dinner is exquisite and innovative; each dish is a stunning work of art, so delicious that it makes you want to return just for the food. Breakfast is delicate and abundant, awakening your taste buds and setting a wonderful tone for the day. The shiso soda thoughtfully provided in the in-room mini-fridge is incredibly refreshing after a hot spring soak, leaving a lasting, pleasant aftertaste. The toiletries have a delicate fragrance, leaving the skin soft and comfortable after use – even these small details are not overlooked. The overall service is friendly and sincere, without being overly familiar, yet maintaining just the right amount of professionalism. It truly feels like a 'just right' luxury experience! The hotel's surroundings are quiet and pristine, and transportation to and from the lakeside is convenient. Whether taking a taxi or using the hotel's shuttle service to JR Toya Station, it's effortless. It feels like Hotel Premium Lake Toya is not just a hotel, but a cherished memory of a journey. Here, the scenery is more than just scenery, and the service is more than just service – it's a reason to return to square one and rediscover the beauty of life.

The staff at Park Hyatt are incredibly attentive and thoughtful. The front desk ladies are not only beautiful but also very meticulous and considerate, especially kind and warm towards children. This time, I'd like to extend a special thanks to the hotel's reservations department for taking care of a returning guest like me by promptly upgrading our room, which made our trip incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel's ski valet is a major reason why we ski here; it saves so much effort when you're tired from skiing. Last year, I remember there were enthusiastic staff members who helped with putting on and taking off ski boots; it seems that service isn't available this year. It would be even better if it were! 😄 Thank you! 🙏

This was my first time skiing in Niseko, and this hotel truly provided a fantastic experience. Everything, from the staff to the service and the rooms, was excellent. The location is superb, with the main entrance facing Mount Yotei, a convenience store right across the street, and its central position makes it easy to walk to other places.

We had a wonderful stay at Niseko Grand Hotel! My friend and I truly enjoyed our time there. One of the highlights was definitely the hotel's own hot springs — absolutely amazing. There are both female-only and mixed-gender areas, which was a great option to have. The staff was incredibly friendly and always eager to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality really made us feel welcome. In fact, staying here felt more like being at a countryside residence than at a hotel — warm, peaceful, and cozy, just like home. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Niseko — and we hope we will! We stayed in a traditional Japanese-style room, which made the experience even more special. Yukata and yuami (bathing suit) were also provided. The hotel also offers free shuttle buses to the ski slopes regularly, which made it super convenient for us to enjoy the mountains. On the day of our departure, the hotel’s driver kindly took us to the nearest train station. Another standout was the hotel’s restaurant. Breakfast was included in our stay, and we also chose to have dinner there a few times. Every dish we tried was delicious and beautifully prepared. The buffet offered a wide variety of both Asian and Western cuisine, and the selection was impressive for both breakfast and dinner. We also tried eating out at a couple of other restaurants in Niseko, but we both agreed that the hotel’s restaurant was by far the best for us. Highly recommend this place!

Lake Toya is absolutely stunning! The lake is incredibly serene, surrounded by majestic mountains, making for a postcard-perfect view. You can enjoy the lake scenery during the day and, if you're lucky to visit during the right season, catch a beautiful night view and fireworks display. There are hot springs, boat cruises, and walking trails nearby, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway. Of all the places I visited in Hokkaido, Lake Toya was one of the most memorable. The air is fresh, the environment is clean, and the pace is wonderfully laid-back. I highly recommend it for couples, families, or anyone on a self-drive trip. I'll definitely be back if I get the chance! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review: 5-Night Stay at One Niseko Hotel, Japan We recently stayed five nights at One Niseko and overall enjoyed our stay, but there are some important things future guests — especially skiers — should know. The rooms were spacious, generally clean, and had very comfortable beds and linens. A few small maintenance issues could use attention, but nothing that seriously affected our stay. Breakfast was decent but fairly repetitive, with mostly the same offerings each day aside from a few rotating dishes. Transportation logistics are probably the biggest consideration. The hotel only offers one daily pickup from the Grand Hirafu bus terminal, and it requires advance reservation. The hotel shuttle itself runs only to Annupuri and Moiwa and does so infrequently, often not aligning well with lift closing times. If the upper mountain lifts close early 3:30pm if they open at all  and may unexpectedly close due to wind or snow.Yyou can easily end up far from the hotel in this situation. Without the shuttle, taxis are limited and cost around $30 USD, or you may face a crowded 1.5-hour bus ride — skis included. The hotel is also quite far from Grand Hirafu, and there aren’t many restaurants within walking distance. We even walked back from Moiwa one day in the rain because the shuttle wouldn’t return for another hour — not ideal after skiing. On the positive side, ski rental prices at the hotel were actually better than many shops in the surrounding area. The hotel restaurant is flexible too — if it’s not full, you can usually walk in without a reservation. The onsen itself is nice, but etiquette enforcement could improve. Some guests were not following standard onsen rules and wearing underwear in the baths, which created an awkward atmosphere (I felt like an exhibitionist!). Management may want to either enforce rules more clearly or consider alternative policies to maintain guest comfort (allow swimsuits). Overall, we did enjoy our stay, but unless you have a rental car, I would strongly recommend considering accommodation in Niseko Village or closer to the lifts for convenience. One Niseko is comfortable but somewhat isolated, and transportation can become challenging quickly depending on weather and lift operations.

The onsen and hotel was in a great location if you like to backcountry ski. The room was spacious and decently clean with pretty comfortable beds, though a bit hard. It is kind of far from any services so make sure to pack some extra snacks and beers. The chef was out on vacation while we stayed so we had to get dinner in town each night which was a lot of driving in pretty gnarly weather. Overall, our stay was great though! Would definitely stay again. Would make sure to include the dinner and breakfast in our next stay.
