Hotels with Gym and Fitness Centre in Upper Normandy

This castle was a gift from Louis XIV to his second wife, for her hunting and outdoor excursions. It's set within a vast forest, covering a large area. As a historic building, one can't expect the facilities to be overly modern, but the rooms do have jacuzzis, and the estate offers a pool, tennis, ping-pong, and small basketball and football courts, making it perfect for a vacation. Being family-run, the service is warm and attentive. It was a truly memorable stay!

The hotel is nicely located, few steps away from the main attractions, hotel has its own parking which is convenient, however the number of places is limited. There are water refill stations on every floor, which is very handy. The breakfast has good variety of products. The swimming pool is on a smaller side and the water is quite cold to our preferences, so it’s mainly for “soaking in cold water” rather then swimming:) the family room for 4 is spacious, beds are comfortable, window sound proofing is not the best.

Besides being a wonderful hotel, it is wonderfully maintained and maintained by wonderful people, we have taken care of us in an exceptional way and I can tell you that they are people who are really trained to their career As there are rarely in France, this hotel deserves five stars

The Mercure Rouen Hotel is located in the city center, within walking distance of all attractions and food streets. The hotel itself is a typical older European hotel; the facilities and cleanliness are fairly basic, not quite what you'd expect from a four-star hotel. But these are secondary issues. The biggest problem is that most people come here by car, and parking is expensive (19 euros even in the suburbs). You absolutely must confirm the hotel's address with them before you can use the password to enter; otherwise, like us, we wandered around for two hours without finding the entrance. Only after finding the hotel did we get the correct address from the navigation and the password to enter, and the parking lot was extremely small. It was a real ordeal.

The hotel is not far from the train station, accessible by the AB tram. Located on the harbor, it's not far from the art gallery and cathedral. Some of the sea view rooms I booked were in a good location, but unfortunately, due to weather and tides, I couldn't see the sunset. The rooms are spacious, have balconies, separate wet and dry areas, and are clean and sanitary.

This hotel is owned by the Best Western chain but has good personality - focused on the literary author Gustave Flaubert (who was born in Rouen). Rooms are compact but clean - big windows and blackout curtains - comfortable. Breakfast is an additional 19.00 € per person - pricey. The biggest plus is the location - in the centre of the old town, right next to the Jeanne D'arc memorial church and within 5-10 mins walk of most key sights. Staff were friendly, spoke great English (in case your French isn't good) and checking in was easy.

The room was clean, the bathroom sewer was blocked on the first night, and the front desk was contacted the next day to solve it smoothly.

L’hôtel est propre et bien situé, parfait pour découvrir la ville sans être trop éloigné des principaux points d’intérêt. Le personnel est accueillant, et les installations sont simples mais confortables. Un choix agréable pour un séjour sans prise de tête avec des amis.

Great hotel outside the main city centre. We live the rooms that are comfortable with small but fantastic bathrooms. The breskfadt is as expected and served in the bright, sunny dining room. The sauna and gym are good. A ground floor pool table is fun and only €1 a game. You need a car to stay at this hotel due to the location.

If you want to experience La vraie vie de chateau (a real life a a castle owner) this is your choice. Only 5 rooms available, very private, feels like you are in your own chateau… fabulous park and setting around the main building, was told there are other separate “mini” houses in the park , and you can go watch the horses…. And admire the view on the valley. Our room: we booked the round bedroom … the center bedroom on the 1st floor…. Fabulous place, need a bit of upgrade in the bathroom… if anything… but seriously felt like a châtelain… as we reached early, we were welcomed by one of the sons of the owners who took us around the private wing, “his house”, and told us everything about the mansion history as well as hotel business. A great interaction with a friendly castle owner and businessman. They also have a snooker, a gym and sauna…. I mean… what else do you want!!! We had to go out for dinner (at L’Hermitage) which the owner booked for us. Breakfastwas served in the salons…. Stylish French dépit déjeuner, served by a dynamic, friendly and frank lady. Just go. Dont hesitate.
