Hotel Hana Isawa

"The overall evaluation of the hotel is not so good, but the day-use bathing wasn't bad. It's a 5-minute walk from Isawa Onsen Station, so you can drop in for a quick visit. Day-use bathing is available from 14:00, so I went at 14:30, and there was no one there as the hotel guests had not yet checked in, so I was able to enjoy the freshly cleaned, clean changing room and bathroom all to myself. The hot spring is of high quality, flowing directly from the hotel's own source. The bath felt like a large public bath at a public inn. The cost was around 1600 yen for a bath towel with the inn's name on it, a toothbrush set, a plastic drawstring bag, and a rental bath towel."

Isawa Tokiwa Hotel

"Upon arrival, the front desk staff were very welcoming and I felt like I had come back here. The Japanese-style room had a low bed, so the room felt spacious, and the window side had been renovated, with a large long table and two chairs along the window. There was a work uniform in the room, and a yukata was available next to the front desk. There were two room keys, which was convenient. There were sweets in the room, mineral water, Dolce Gusto, coffee, etc. There was a large bath and an open-air bath, which were alternated between men and women. There were many places to wash, and amenities were available in the wash area. The hot spring was colorless and transparent. For dinner, we had the "Koshu beef kaiseki" in a beautiful restaurant. Tea, water, rice and miso soup had been changed to a self-service system. Dinner was very satisfying. I was looking forward to the usual Koshu beef, raw tuna and Fujinosuke nigiri that are served as appetizers. This time, I enjoyed Koshu beef as shabu-shabu and steamed in a bamboo steamer. I was a little disappointed that I could only eat a little of the rice and forgot to take a picture of the dessert. After dinner, we watched the lights of Isawa Onsen Sakura Onsen Street, right in front of the inn. Breakfast was a Japanese set meal, and we could choose between beef bowl or white rice. There were also side dishes such as salmon, so my wife had seconds of rice. A hoto was also included, so we were full even without seconds. On a cold day, a hoto really warms the body. Check-out was at 11am, so we were able to relax in our room after breakfast. The baths and food at this inn were great, and the hospitality was outstanding, making for a heartwarming stay."

Hotel Route-Inn Court Kofu Isawa

"The staff were very friendly, and the instructions we received at check-in were clear and easy to understand. The building is not new, but the faucets and other amenities have been replaced and are well-maintained, making it comfortable. The parking lot was full, so I expected the breakfast area to be crowded, but it wasn't crowded at all, and I was able to eat at my own pace. The food is presented well, so perhaps it's because it's quick to get. The rice and miso soup are delicious, so be careful not to overeat."

Chateraise Hotel Isawa

"Chateraise is a company famous for selling cakes, Japanese sweets, ice cream and desserts, so you'd expect to find some kind of dessert at dinner in a hotel run by that company. But it was only two rusks! No way! Even the Chateraise Golf Course had a mini dessert buffet for lunch. This is the third hotel in the chain, and the dinner desserts at every hotel have been surprisingly disappointing. I should have checked in earlier and had the welcome cake."

A friendly woman at reception kindly assisted me. An attendant guided me to my room while carrying my luggage. There was a pond with many beautiful Nishikigoi carp swimming around, and they sold food so I could feed them♪ 🔻 [Barrier-Free Access] ③ It was mostly accessible, but there were some small steps here and there. 🔻 [Room] ③ A very spacious and beautiful Japanese-style room with an outstanding sense of openness. 🔻 [View from the Room] ② Mountains in the distance, with only the peak of Mt. Fuji visible. The rest was the cityscape. 🔻 [Hot Springs] ④ There were two baths: a wine bath and a small private bath on a higher floor where you could soak while enjoying the view. The water was quite warm, and soaking in the fragrant reddish-purple tub was a very satisfying way to soothe my fatigue. The open-air bath was also very pleasant♪ 🔻 [Food (Dinner)] ④ We had dinner in a private room. This was the last meal of the year♪ Each dish was very stylish. There was a wide selection, including Koshu beef and crab, and they were all delicious. 🔻 [Hotel Shop] ③ The shop was small and mainly stocked local specialties and items related to Takeda Shingen. Being in Yamanashi Prefecture, there was a wide selection of Shine Muscat processed products. 🔻 [Cooking scene (breakfast)] ③ Since we visited during the New Year holidays, the breakfast scene was different from usual, with New Year's dishes that were a delight to the eyes♪ 🔻 [Seeing off on the way home] ③ We paid in the lobby, and the attendant carried our luggage to our car. "I use this place several times a year. It's relatively affordable among Isawa Onsen, but they serve proper kaiseki cuisine, not a buffet. I always come here in the summer. I love the warm water of the open-air bath here. From the room, you can see a garden with beautiful greenery, a waterfall and a pond. The futon is laid out in advance, but the room is still spacious. There is a large rock bath and an open-air bath, and I like the gentle water, so I spend a lot of time in the warm open-air bath. There is lotion and other products in the undressing and washing area. I saw a few people who were just visiting, but the bathroom is spacious so it didn't bother me too much. The indoor bath and the washing and changing area are hot, especially in the summer, so I think they need more ventilation. We had dinner in a large venue, but there were partitions between the tables, so when I sat down, I couldn't see the people at the next table. The kaiseki cuisine is set on almost every table, except for the rice and dessert, and every dish looks beautiful and is delicious. There are so many dishes that I didn't order rice and soup because I couldn't finish it. My partner ordered half a bowl of rice and said, "The soup is delicious, so please have it." We ordered Fuefuki City wine (a corkage fee is required). It was a 1.8L bottle, but it was nicely chilled. The matcha pudding dessert was also delicious. Breakfast was a well-balanced Japanese set meal. We will come again."
