Always happy to chat and passionate about the fully refurbished property, Pierfrancisco booked us taxis, advised us on where to go in the bad weather and was always there when we needed him. "We had an amazing time at this stunning hotel. Because it only has circa 40 rooms, it really felt like you were staying in a gorgeous house. The staff are incredible and can’t do enough for you. So polite, attentive, efficient and friendly. They really all are an asset to the hotel. We stayed in a classic room which was perfect. We had a walk-in shower, a lovely ground floor terrace and a very comfortable bed. There’s plenty of storage in the room as well. The pool area is gorgeous, the loungers have very thick cushions making them so comfy. The pool staff are there to make sure you have everything you need. They were extremely attentive, ensuring that your lounger was in the right position & putting parasols up and down as required. We didn’t have the best weather (it was very mixed) however we had three full days of sun and it was a pleasure to relax in such a lovely environment. The sea was cold but very refreshing and so clear. The only negative that I can think of is that the pools were very cold and I did mention this to one of the staff members who said they would take it on board. All in all super hotel and we would love to return."

Limited on-site parking, a pleasant welcome but nothing more; once you enter the room you're left to your own devices. Breakfast is makeshift, without even a hint of the classic croissants."

Our room in the tower had 37 stairs (very high) and no elevator so it's something to check on if physical restrictions, but we had a great view. very large bathroom. "The pool is beautiful and the breakfasts are truly enjoyable, but that’s about it. Given the price per night, you can definitely find better options in the region. If you still decide to stay here, do not book the rooms located outside the main Masseria property. They are loud and isolated. I couldn’t sleep a single night. When I tried to contact reception to express that I didn’t feel safe, no one answered — it was closed. I asked to change rooms and was told there was no availability. I ended up leaving early and booking elsewhere, as it made no sense to continue wasting my money. The vineyard dinner experience was also a big disappointment. The food was mediocre at best, and we were surrounded by stray cats and bees during the entire meal. For €150 per person, you’re far better off dining at a top-rated restaurant in one of the nearby villages, with better wine, food, and service. La piscina es linda y los desayunos son muy buenos, pero eso es lo destacable. Por el costo del alojamiento por noche, sinceramente puedes encontrar algo mejor en la región. Si aún así decides quedarte aquí, evita por completo las habitaciones que están fuera de la hacienda principal. Son ruidosas y aisladas. Literalmente no pude dormir ni una sola noche. Pedí un cambio de habitación al día siguiente y me dijeron que no había disponibilidad. Terminé yéndome antes de lo previsto a otro lugar, porque no tenía sentido seguir malgastando mi dinero. La experiencia en los viñedos tampoco vale la pena. La comida fue decepcionante, y durante toda la cena tuvimos gatos y abejas merodeando por la mesa. Por €150 por persona, puedes cenar en un restaurante de altísimo nivel en cualquier pueblo cercano, con mejor vino, mejor ambiente y mejor atención."

"My family and I stayed here whilst attending a local wedding. The rooms are basic, but they contain all that you need. The shower was really good and powerful. We had breakfast included which included pastries, ham, cheese etc - which was nice. The views from the hotel were lovely and the veranda area where you could have drinks was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a hire car and there was plenty of room for parking. A great hotel for a short break!"

"I recently stayed at Hotel Almirador for 4 nights. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and did not match the expectations created by the hotel’s website and promotional photos. The biggest issue was the apparent mismatch between the advertised images and the reality of the hotel. The website presents a vibrant, modern property with attractive facilities, but the actual hotel felt bland, dated, and under-equipped. The pool area and public spaces looked very different from the marketing materials and lacked the atmosphere shown online. Service was also far below expectations. There appeared to be no chef on site and food and drink options were very limited. During the day, there often seemed to be only one member of staff covering service, and there was no visible customer-facing reception or service team available when assistance was needed. One example is when my husband asked for a cold beer there was none in the fridge and we had to walk around the grounds to find someone to ask. Another example is we needed a snack before leaving to go to a wedding, and all they could offer was a bland cheese and ham toastie. The furnishings throughout the public areas were basic and inexpensive, with plastic chairs and low-quality furniture that felt inconsistent with the image the hotel promotes. The lobby, dining areas, and pool surroundings all felt under-resourced and lacked the standard you would expect at this price point. What was particularly disappointing was the lack of interest in guest feedback. Despite having ongoing communication with the hotel via WhatsApp during our stay, when we checked out the bill was simply handed to us without anyone asking about our experience or whether there had been any issues. The one positive aspect was that our room was clean and generally well maintained. However, this was not enough to compensate for the shortcomings elsewhere in the hotel. Overall, I felt that Hotel Almirador offered very poor value for money, it is overpriced, especially when compared with nearby hotels that appeared to provide significantly better facilities, service, and atmosphere at a similar price point. I would not return and would encourage prospective guests to look carefully beyond the promotional photos before booking. If anyone from the management would like to discuss you have my number."
