"Basic, clean room. Very confusing layout; entrance is not at the front of the building, but rather on the back corner and hard to locate with no clear signs or markings. Breakfast was old coffee a piece of shrink-wrapped fruit. Ugh. Floor plan was unnecessarily confusing but staff was nice."

"Hardware facilities need to be improved. The exhaust fan in the bathroom is very loud and the refrigerator in the room is also very noisy. The service staff is very good and very kind. Breakfast can be selected with a set menu and a drink. The portion and taste are acceptable."

"This is a decent hotel but it's seen better days. The rooms are very clean and quiet but the furniture is in desperate need of updating. The bed was very uncomfortable. The "breakfast buffet" was basic with very few options - this is why I stayed at the hotel and it left me very disappointed. Considering the price in Carlsbad, I wouldn't stay here again. There are other, newer and cheaper, options in town with the same basics - get breakfast at a local restaurant."
