"We had a bad experience. We had to wait all afternoon for them to give us a code to access the room. A wasted vacation afternoon. And they were so calm. They didn't even worry about the delay or compensate us in any way. And the worst part is that we returned to the same hotel later and the same thing happened to us! We contacted them beforehand so it wouldn't happen again, and it happened again. Incredible! Again without a sorry or compensation. It's never happened to us before. Very little professionalism and respect for customers. We're not the only ones this has happened to. They only work with email and don't handle it properly. It's a shame because this treatment ruins their business, since the place and facilities are very nice. The room is well decorated, modern, and has all the amenities. The staff is friendly and attentive. The price-performance ratio is not good. The price is high."

"When you get at noon and they tell you that your room is going to be ready at 4 PM, this is already a red flag. On booking is 7.9 and I understand why. Chaotic, dirty, the restaurant 's chairs with stains of every kind. Disgusting. Bathrooms dirty and low level of service."

"Wonderful resort. The setting, the views, the landscaping, the beach, the history - all just so special. As others have noted the room location being so close to the surf is unique. We woke up every morning and just opened our doors and listened to the waves crashing. The service was top notch. Team members are excited to converse and talk with pride about the hotel. Special thanks to Will and Arelis at Positivo and Chen our embajador. Also we had a great time with Santos at Encanto restaurant (not part of hotel but on the bigger property). We liked their bar and their burger and chicken parm! The spa is pricey but worth checking out for a treatment in part so you can enjoy the wide range of facilities (steam room, plunge pools, hot pools. etc). We loved how small and intimate the hotel feels - yet with every comfort available. It’s also nice that, since Puerto Rico is part of the US, there were no passport/customs formalities for us. We were on the beach within ~1 hour of landing at SJU! Very much looking fwd to a return visit."
