Travelodge Kasane ★★★
"Gave me the wrong room type but ended up changing it back to the proper one. The staff was incredible and super helpful. The food was totally awful and way too expensive. Please do not eat dinner there, buffet was probably the worst I’ve ever had."
Tlou Safari Lodge ★★★
"We spent 3 lovely does here, The game drives they had was excellent.Breakfast and Dinner was good and at a reasonable price .The chalets where great with good ac and well equipped kitchen. The was very helpful.Bathroom had both bathtube and shower."
Thebe River Safaris ★★★
"Afternoon/sunset cruise was amazing. Even with a lot of groups on the river, we were able to get close to lounging hippos, and watch groups of elephants graze in the water. Also saw giraffes and a multitude of bird life . Sunset was spectacular Thoroughly recommend"
Rustiek Hotel ★★
"The hotel staff tend to all your needs with the greatest friendliness and skill. It’s a unique space with its nature scapes, pool, and accommodations. Wonderful memories made and would definitely return."
Cresta Mowana Safari Resort & Spa ★★★★★
"From the moment we arrived at Cresta Mowana Safari Resort, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. I was travelling with dear friends from Canada (a couple and their son), and this trip will remain one of our most treasured memories — largely thanks to the outstanding care we received. A very special thank you to Malebogo Sechele, who elevated our stay from excellent to extraordinary. From day one, the service felt personal, thoughtful, and genuinely warm. Malebogo took specific care of us, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. She seamlessly arranged our game drives, transfers, and even organised our unforgettable day trip to Victoria Falls. Every detail was handled effortlessly and professionally, allowing us to simply relax and immerse ourselves in the beauty of Botswana. The game drives were spectacular — thrilling wildlife sightings, knowledgeable guides, and that indescribable feeling of being surrounded by untamed nature. Watching elephants move gracefully across the landscape and experiencing the stillness of the bush at sunset was magical. Our day trip to Victoria Falls was equally breathtaking — powerful, majestic, and beautifully coordinated from start to finish. It was one of those bucket-list experiences that leaves you humbled by nature’s grandeur. The food at the resort was superb — fresh, beautifully prepared, and varied. Every meal felt like an experience in itself. And the sunsets… absolutely glorious. Watching the sun melt into the horizon over the Chobe River, drink in hand, surrounded by friends — pure perfection. What truly sets this resort apart is the warmth of the people. The hospitality is authentic, attentive, and world-class. Because of how well we were looked after, my Canadian friends were so impressed that they are already planning their return visit in August. Botswana has my heart — and Cresta Mowana made it unforgettable. Malebogo Sechele is a treasure We will absolutely be back."
Wild View Resort ★★★
"Clean and spacious rooms. The hotel is conveniently located along the main road but also far away enough from the city noise. Only problem is our other room didn't have a safe, so we had to share a safe."
Destiny Blo Inn ★★
"What a great place to stay! The room was perfect with a comfortable bed, hot shower, all in a beautiful, quiet setting. The food was delicious. The property is set in a farming community and the owner is a local working with the community for sustainable balance between tourism and agriculture, the kind of place we try and support. Chimney (the owner) was the best guide we’ve had in 2+ months in Africa. His knowledge was incredible and included all birds, plus he spotted things we never would have and showed tremendous respect for the environment. Highly recommend!"
Mwandi View ★★★
"Group booking in advance of 4 tented self catering units for 3 nights. Positioned right next to the main road overlooking the river in the distance. Our group was separated and owners were completely unhelpful when we asked if we could be grouped together. Units are advertised with braai facilities but braai stands have to be brought from the campsite if required. Our unit didn’t have a two plate stove and we needed to use our own lighting inside. Two of the self catering units are positioned along the side of the property away from the direct river view like the others which is not obvious on the website. On a number of occasions the owner walked around shouting loudly at staff which was very unpleasant and unprofessional. Owners did not check in once to see if we were ok or offer any useful information until the morning of our departure. We were also charged for using borehole water to fill up one of our vehicles…have stayed at many campsites and self catering lodges but have never had such a bad experience. Might have enjoyed the position and facilities more had it not been for the very inhospitable atmosphere created by the owners. Would not recommend."
chobe sunset chalets ★★★
"The staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our chalet was clean and comfortable, with reliable WiFi (thanks to the router being placed outdoors) and even a fitness machine for a quick workout. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the staff catered well to the vegetarian members of our party. We found it to be an ideal base for day trips to Chobe National Park or Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The only small drawback was a rooster on a nearby property crowing at dawn, but with earplugs, it was wasn't too noticeable."

Muchenje Safari Lodge
"Our first experience of a safari. We didn’t have particular expectations but from the moment we arrived, we were looked after as if we were family. All the staff introduced themselves and some would even join us and other the guests at a large single dining table. Conversation among fellow guests and staff was always interesting. The safari experiences themselves were super. We were assigned to a particular guide who looked after us for the duration of our stay. Philli was excellent; knowledgeable, passionate, hard working, interesting and interested."
Elephant Valley Lodge
"A little bit of African paradise tucked away. Surrounded by beautiful bird song and regular animals at the watering hole. Happy and helpful staff. The guides are so knowledgeable - particularly Soxx! Food is also delicious and the accommodation has everything you need."
Chobe Safari Lodges
"My wife and I have just returned to the UK after a three night stay at Chobe Safari Lodge. I have to say that the whole experience was absolutely amazing. We did two safari drives and one river cruise during the stay, saw an absolute abundance of wildlife on land and in the water. The guides/ drivers were so knowledgeable about the wildlife and gave us plenty of time to take photographs. The staff in the lodge couldn’t have been more helpful, the whole experience far exceeded our expectations and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone."
Comfort Palace Guesthouse Kasane
"Nestled in the heart of the city, "The Spice Merchant" promises a vibrant culinary experience, drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of Indian flavors. Upon entering, patrons are enveloped in a warm ambiance, with intricate décor that evokes the allure of a traditional spice market. While the restaurant boasts an impressive menu, it is the masterful execution of classic dishes that truly sets it apart, making it a must-visit for those seeking authentic Indian cuisine. The Food: The menu features a well-curated selection of appetizers, curries, and tandoori specialties, with a particular emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The "Samosas" are a standout, with crisp, golden-brown pastry encasing a flavorful potato and pea filling that bursts with aromatic spices. The "Butter Chicken" is a testament to the chef's expertise, featuring tender chicken pieces swimming in a creamy, tomato-based sauce that is both rich and balanced. For the adventurous diner, the "Lamb Rogan Josh" offers a complex blend of spices that dance on the palate with every bite. The Service: The staff at "The Spice Merchant" are knowledgeable and attentive, providing personalized recommendations to suit each diner's taste. They are well-versed in the nuances of the dishes, readily explaining the origin of spices and cooking techniques. While service was prompt, there were occasional minor hiccups in coordinating orders during peak hours. Ambiance: The restaurant's design seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with traditional Indian elements, creating an inviting atmosphere. Soft lighting, plush seating, and subtle background music contribute to a relaxed dining experience. The open kitchen layout allows guests to catch glimpses of the culinary artistry in action, adding to the overall dining experience."
Gem Villa Inn
"Good location, clean spacious rooms and allows you to prepare your own meals. The staff is very welcoming. They also offer activities like game drive, boat cruise, tour to the Kazungula bridge where four countries meet (Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia -called the quadripoint), Quad biking and day trip to Victoria falls. I really enjoyed the quadbike experience, whether you are a first time rider they always teach you so perfectly."
River View Lodge
"Having arrived a day early for our week in Kasane, we needed a place to stay for a night to rest from our long journey. I found River View Lodge and what a delight - a haven of tranquility, situated on the bank of the Chobe River, the lodge was an ideal stopover for us. The welcome was very warm and the food was great. Although we didn’t partake, we understood they offer safari trips into the park and boat rides to see the amazing wildlife. No hesitation in recommending River View Lodge for a warm welcome in a peaceful location for short stays and even longer."
Ichingo Chobe River Lodge by Mantis
"The location of the Lodge, on a section of rapids packed with bird life, is wonderful. The Lodge is amazingly efficient, with great staff across the board. One of the highlights of our 5 days was the exceptional fishing guide. Feedback from our group indicated that they were all good but our guide, Robert, made our trip. His knowledge of bird life is encyclopedic - and he's an amazing fishing guide and great company. We were looked after at every turn: meals, drinks, snacks on every boat trip and visit to the bar, transport from the airport...simply exceptional"
