Travelodge Kasane
"Pretty standard, nothing special. Didn't get to have breakfast because I left too early. The room was really small, and the bathroom didn't have a separate shower and toilet area. But honestly, this is probably one of the better hotels in town."
Rustiek Hotel
"Rustiek Hotel, Kasane – A True Gem! Our stay at Rustiek Hotel was absolutely fantastic. The place is quirky in all the right ways—full of character, charm, and warmth—while still being very comfortable. It ended up being the highlight of our entire time in Africa, which is saying a lot given everything we experienced on this trip. The atmosphere feels personal and welcoming, and every detail adds to its unique vibe. Thank you to everyone at Rustiek for making our stay so memorable. We left with big smiles and full hearts, and we’ll be recommending you to anyone visiting Kasane!"
Mwandi View
"We stayed two nights in a tented chalet to allow us to self-drive the Ngoma end of Chobe Riverfront. Warm greeting from staff and a couple of interesting chats with the owners made us feel very welcome. Chalet was fine with nice view - just surprised that the kitchenette only has microwave, kettle and cutlery - no cooking rings or pots/pans. So only way to do eggs in the morning is scrambled in the micro! We ate (pre-booked) dinners in the dining area and these were a real highlight - top class food and friendly atmosphere."
Destiny Blo Inn
"We spent three nights in March at the Destiny Blo Inn, occupying two units. The units and were clean, airy and pleasant to be in and the kitchen produced excellent meals. The highlight was having the manager, Chimney, lead us on an all day tour in the nearby Chobe National Park. At this point in our travels in Southern Africa, we had done quite a few guided trips in wildlife refuges. This was, however, an exceptional experience due to Chimney's knowledge of the area and its inhabitants and the remarkable number of animals and size of herds we saw. I heartily recommend the Inn, its food and services."
chobe sunset chalets
"The staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our chalet was clean and comfortable, with reliable WiFi (thanks to the router being placed outdoors) and even a fitness machine for a quick workout. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the staff catered well to the vegetarian members of our party. We found it to be an ideal base for day trips to Chobe National Park or Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The only small drawback was a rooster on a nearby property crowing at dawn, but with earplugs, it was wasn't too noticeable."
Thebe River Safaris
"Nice property in Kasane with nearby supermarket and fast food. Pool is not great. Rooms weren’t bad but a bit tight for space, with great climate control. Only 1 key provided which was annoying. Check in was chaotic with excessive numbers of forms - this can be made much more efficient. Wifi was generally working but sometimes spotty. Game drive through the lodge was good."
Tlou Safari Lodge
"We stayed here for two nights and it a great place to stay. The self catering apartments are all very spacious and well equipped with great facilities. The beds were very comfortable too. Unfortunately the food wasn’t the greatest but it wasn’t a big problem. The staff were friendly. It doesn’t serve alcohol but they let you bring your own. There’s a small pool area. It’s also conveniently located next to a Nando’s and filling station and a couple of other shops."
Chobe River Lodge
"Everything about this accommodation is just so harmonious and inviting. We received a very warm welcome, and the welcome drink was served with a wonderfully cool towel for refreshment. The room was decorated with great attention to detail, and the housekeeping team did an exceptionally good job. The food and variety were of high quality and very delicious — and there was even vegan cheese for me 🫠 Since the service staff during mealtimes was quite young, I believe there was a lack of experience in both service and food knowledge. There’s definitely room for improvement there. In the afternoon, we went on a sunset cruise on the Chobe River with our guide BK. We saw so many incredible animals. The elephants swimming across the river, almost fully submerged — that was absolutely spectacular. And when the sun set in the evening, the scenery looked like a dream come true. The next morning, we joined BK again for a game drive, where we saw many elephants, lions, tsessebes, roans, sables, and more. BK is a truly exceptional guide — both on land and water — very humorous and, above all, highly professional. He shared his passion and knowledge about animals, birds, and amphibians with such enthusiasm that I couldn’t have wished for a better guide than BK. Thank you, BK, for creating so many unforgettable and incredible moments."

Comfort Palace Guesthouse Kasane
"Nestled in the heart of the city, "The Spice Merchant" promises a vibrant culinary experience, drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of Indian flavors. Upon entering, patrons are enveloped in a warm ambiance, with intricate décor that evokes the allure of a traditional spice market. While the restaurant boasts an impressive menu, it is the masterful execution of classic dishes that truly sets it apart, making it a must-visit for those seeking authentic Indian cuisine. The Food: The menu features a well-curated selection of appetizers, curries, and tandoori specialties, with a particular emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The "Samosas" are a standout, with crisp, golden-brown pastry encasing a flavorful potato and pea filling that bursts with aromatic spices. The "Butter Chicken" is a testament to the chef's expertise, featuring tender chicken pieces swimming in a creamy, tomato-based sauce that is both rich and balanced. For the adventurous diner, the "Lamb Rogan Josh" offers a complex blend of spices that dance on the palate with every bite. The Service: The staff at "The Spice Merchant" are knowledgeable and attentive, providing personalized recommendations to suit each diner's taste. They are well-versed in the nuances of the dishes, readily explaining the origin of spices and cooking techniques. While service was prompt, there were occasional minor hiccups in coordinating orders during peak hours. Ambiance: The restaurant's design seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with traditional Indian elements, creating an inviting atmosphere. Soft lighting, plush seating, and subtle background music contribute to a relaxed dining experience. The open kitchen layout allows guests to catch glimpses of the culinary artistry in action, adding to the overall dining experience."
Elephant Valley Lodge
"This was a beautiful stay. The tented accommodation we had was clean and comfortable overlooking the valley and waterhole. Elephants were regular visitors. Food was great and evening meals served in the Boma in front of the waterhole. Staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Our game experiences in the Chobe were First class. David, in particular did his very best to make sure we saw as much as possible. I highly recommend a stay here."
Muchenje Safari Lodge
"We had the most wonderful time at Muchenje Safari Lodge celebrating our honeymoon - the team made the experience really special for our 3 nights, with a private dinner set up for us one evening. The lodges are luxurious and clean with beautiful balconies overlooking the Chobe River Plains with undisturbed views to Namibia. The safari vehicles are comfortable, state of the art Land Cruisers and the safari guides are some of the best; having grown up locally and knowing the park like the back of their hand. Philly was excellent - always the first to find the animals. We saw 4 out of big 5 (no Rhino’s in Chobe!) Muchenje is a quieter side of the national park - meaning you have less jeeps / traffic and more animals to yourself! The team delivered exceptional service including delicious home cooked meals and a communal dining set up with other guests and guides. This lodge is an absolute must and we could not recommend it more! Special thanks to: - Evelyn and Mrs G for running the show - Peter and TiTi for their warm welcome - Philly for excellent game drives - Brian and Muller for always keeping us topped up with drinks! - Security staff for keeping us safe at night! Lots of love Bridget & James xxxx"
Chobe Safari Lodges
"The hotel offers a great all-round service - from the rooms, to the location and the staff. The food was faultless - plenty of choice to suit every taste. The rooms are lovely, spacious, clean and offer plenty of wildlife from the balcony. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are all friendly and helpful. This is the second time we have stayed here, and would not hesitate in coming back again."
Nkanga Hotel
"We had very bad experience in this accommodation. They cheated us to change a room where the toilet couldn’t be used. We had to use a public guest toilet instead. We asked to refund us that night. They refused. Besides, this lodge is far away from everything and all facilities were dated. The breakfast & dinner were very poor. But there was no any shops and restaurants around. It’s an isolated accommodation where you couldn’t enjoy a holiday."
Gem Villa Inn
"Good location, clean spacious rooms and allows you to prepare your own meals. The staff is very welcoming. They also offer activities like game drive, boat cruise, tour to the Kazungula bridge where four countries meet (Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia -called the quadripoint), Quad biking and day trip to Victoria falls. I really enjoyed the quadbike experience, whether you are a first time rider they always teach you so perfectly."
Serondela Lodge
River View Lodge
"We throughly enjoyed our stay here. The accommodation is extremely clean and welcoming. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We arrived at 10am in the morning and they let us check in as our room was ready, really super customer service that we were so grateful for. All the grounds are absolutely immaculate. The staff organised a Sunset river cruise, it was fantastic and a must do. We had dinner at the lodge which was 3 course, it was delicious and very good value for money. I would highly recommend The River view lodge to future guests and look forward to returning again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay."
Ichingo Chobe River Lodge by Mantis
"Had an awesome experience, hospitality was great, very friendly and helpful staff, all meals were fantastic. To top it off fishing was good even though conditions were not conducive (serve flooding at the time) Will definitely be going back!"
