"The hotel is about five kilometers from Oxford city center, a convenient 10-12 minute taxi ride away. The hotel's front desk manager and several staff members are British and provide good service. There's also a Chinese lady, likely to facilitate communication with Chinese guests. Overall, the facilities are quite good and relatively new. I have two issues though: 1. There's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage upstairs yourself; 2. The gym opens at 6:30 AM and closes at 9:30 PM, but they stop allowing entry at 9 PM. The English breakfast is decent and quite authentic. However, the service is generally poor. During my stay, one morning I witnessed a female front desk receptionist arguing with an elderly British man, who seemed extremely upset. This level of service is unacceptable. One evening, I had cod at Leo's restaurant, and it was the worst I've ever tasted. When it was served, it had a slight odor, similar to stinky mandarin fish. It was bland and incredibly dry when I ate it. It smelled bad and tasted like nothing. After two bites, I left it, only eating the sides and fries. The fries were also the worst I've ever had, no exaggeration! Overall, I'd likely stay at this hotel again in the future, but I definitely won't be having dinner at the hotel restaurant."

City sightseeing tours are available in the area, making this a great base for guests who want to explore. The hotel offers modern, comfortable rooms which are perfectly equipped to accommodate individuals, couples and families.

"The service was decent, with daily cleaning. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. The hotel's downtown location is very convenient for walking around. I imagine the experience would be better if it weren't summer. I was on the third floor, and there's no elevator, but carrying luggage wasn't too difficult, and you can always ask staff for help. The biggest issue was the summer heat. The room got a lot of direct afternoon sun every day, and even though the hotel provided a fan during the European heatwave, it was still hard to sleep. Good to know that the double rooms in the new building have air conditioning."

"Booked a triple room at this hotel in Oxford this time. The hotel is simple and comfortable. It's a bit of a hassle with large luggage as you have to carry it up a short flight of stairs. The hotel is within walking distance of the university area and offers free parking, which is great for those traveling by car."

"Great for self-driving, it's right off the highway. Parking is easy with a QR code, and I've attached a picture of the overnight parking fee. If you're staying longer than 24 hours, just tell the front desk and they can waive the extra charges on their system. There's a gas station and fast food like KFC nearby. It's also convenient to get to the city center by taking the 300 bus. Both the breakfast and dinner provided were excellent."

"The hotel environment is lovely. It's next to a local horse stable and seems to be a converted manor, with plenty of rooms available. They have large rooms that can accommodate 3-4 people, which is great for family trips. It's only two bus stops away from Oxford city center, so transportation is very convenient, and it's right by the River Thames with beautiful scenery. We didn't realize at the time and booked two standard rooms, but ended up getting a large room for 4 and a large room for 3, which made it a bit more expensive than necessary. For a typical family trip, one room would have been enough."

Hampton by Hilton Oxford is situated conveniently close to both the business and leisure areas of Oxford. We are only 15 minutes from the historic center and just an hour from Heathrow Airport. Oxford is the UK's oldest University City, where film fans explore the hallowed halls of Christ Church College, and punts glide gently along the River Cherwell. Our Oxford hotel is situated right next door to the Kassam Football Stadium and just 5 minutes’ walk to the Ozone Leisure Park's multiplex cinema, bowling alley, leisure club and restaurants. We are within easy reach of Oxford Science Park and only a mile from the BMW Mini plant, making our hotel a handy base for business travelers. Explore the pretty Cotswold villages and the rolling parkland of Blenheim Palace. Silverstone F1 racing circuit is 35 miles away and the famous Bicester village just 18 miles away but you do not have to go that far for retail therapy: Oxford’s newest shopping center, Westgate, home to over 100 brand new stores featuring the best of the British high street as well as prestigious global brands, is less than 5 miles away! Our inviting, air-conditioned guest rooms offer contemporary amenities including free WiFi, an ergonomic desk, a comfy bed and a 32-inch flat-screen TV. Refresh in the spacious bathroom, which features a walk-in shower or relax in our sunny hub.

"Plenty of parking available, but if there's a home game for Oxford United in the evening, parking can be a hassle since the stadium is right next door. Breakfast includes homemade waffles and all the usual options, primarily a full English breakfast, and the coffee is excellent. The room feels cramped with a sofa bed. It's about a 15-minute drive to Oxford University or the shopping center, and Bicester Village is around 30 minutes away."

Enjoy elegance in the heart of Oxford when you stay at the Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel. Not to mention the amenities of Oxford city centre which is just two miles away. The Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel is also close to the University of Oxford, Oxford Castle and Blenheim Place.

"The hotel's garden is beautiful, and it's lovely to sit at the bar, enjoying a drink or a meal while looking out at it. Breakfast was decent; although the selection wasn't huge, the food tasted good and the presentation was quite refined. The only drawback is that the room was a bit small, but that's pretty normal for the UK. Overall, it's a good place, and the garden is definitely a highlight. It's about a ten-minute drive to Oxford city center."
