Cheap Hotels in Munich

"The location was one of its biggest strengths for us. The hotel is only one bus stop away from Munich Messe, or about a five-minute drive if you're coming by car. For anyone attending an exhibition or event there, it makes the early mornings and long days feel much more manageable. Another thing that stood out was just how clean and well maintained the hotel felt. You could tell that some parts of the property, such as the carpets, had been there for quite a few years, but they were looked after remarkably well. Rather than feeling worn, the hotel gave the impression of being carefully maintained and respected by the people running it. I also appreciated the little touches in the lobby. There were refreshments available for both adults and children—ice cream, cookies, and drinks—which added a welcoming atmosphere to the space. It was one of those simple gestures that makes a hotel feel more hospitable and less transactional. The gym being open 24 hours a day was another unexpected bonus. Whether arriving late after a long day or wanting an early workout before heading out, having that flexibility was genuinely useful. For those arriving by car, the free parking directly in front of the hotel was another convenience that shouldn't be underestimated, especially around Munich where parking can quickly become expensive or complicated. The only less positive part of our stay was an interaction at the front desk. One of the gentlemen working there came across as somewhat impatient and a little abrupt. To be fair, the hotel was fully booked during our visit, and it was easy to imagine that the workload and constant stream of guests might have been contributing factors. Still, it stood out slightly against what was otherwise a very positive experience."

"Hygiene: It was okay, but the sofa cushions in the room couldn't be moved to check underneath – and if you did, you wouldn't like what you saw. Environment: A bit noisy. My room was arranged close to the street and on the 2nd floor, so the trams passing by at night were quite loud. Service: So-so. On the first day, I went to the bar for a free drink, and the young staff member was quite slow. The second day, that person wasn't there, but the older gentleman was very friendly and cheerful. However, both days I had to wait 10 minutes. Facilities: Pretty good, the room was quite spacious."

"Everything was superb. We arrived too early, but the staff allowed us to leave our luggage. Everyone spoke English fluently. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with fresh fruits, juice, coffee, muesli, and much more. The hotel was clean and cozy. The location was also convenient. Great value for money."

"The room was stylish and clean, but it was a bit dim with only indirect lighting. There weren't many amenities provided (oddly, only a shower cap was available). I had booked breakfast for 6:30 AM, but due to my flight schedule, when I arrived at 6:30, they were still vacuuming, and it didn't feel at all ready to welcome guests. There were hardly any staff around, and they only offered a quick greeting when they saw us. Since I had to leave by just after 7 AM, I ended up checking out without eating. Even after I checked out, the breakfast area still didn't seem properly set up, and other guests also looked confused. The staff were friendly, which was good, but the breakfast situation was the only regrettable part of my stay. Those hoping for an early breakfast should be aware of this."

"The hotel is a convenient 8-10 minute walk from the train station. The area around the hotel is predominantly populated by residents and businesses that do not speak German. While there are several supermarkets nearby, none of the small shops sell water. The only option is a 1.5-liter bottle of 'mineral water' for a steep 2.50 Euros. Munich has very hard water, so much so that boiling a pot of water leaves a noticeable amount of limescale. The hotel does not offer luggage storage services. The double bed, measuring 1.3 meters, was fitted with two 1.5-meter mattresses, which easily slipped off. I wonder who came up with this makeshift arrangement? On the upside, the price was very reasonable."

"Excellent! It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff were fantastic, and there's a safe in the room. Plus, it's only 2.3 km from the train station. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in town."

"My opinion: Good got solo travellers, don’t drive, prefer peace rather than happening places nearby. Good for biz trips. Location: Very convenient, right next to Neuperlach Sud station on U5 line which covers Ostbanhof couple stops away. Neighbourhood: fairly quiet and peaceful neighbourhood, not like the busy downtown. Good if you like some peace, not great if you’re looking for nightlife or exciting downtown activities. Hotel public areas: overrated to be considered the “most-instagrammable” hotel, don’t think of it as a high-end luxury type. But there are some funky stuff on levels 2 to 7, go explore their R&R rooms, from scenic Gym rooms to classic retro games room. Will keep you motivated for 2-3 nights at least. They have an onsite-laundry that uses App-based (niceGerman technology) Food/cafe: very convenient REWE next door. Onsite canteen was cool Italian food, but apparently it’s not open every day for dinner, careful on weekends. Next closest for food might be Neuperlach Zentrum which is just 2 stops away."

"We loved our stay here at Miano! My husband and I were given the last room at the corner which was the largest room. The room was so spacious and comfortable! The bathroom was also well designed and showering there felt like a spa. Although the hotel provided limited breakfast (5.50€ for 1 pastry such as croissant or pretzel and a beverage of choice), we felt that it was reasonably priced and there were other external breakfast options that were provided too. The hotel is also located very close to the main train station, just about a 5min walk. There were also 2 large supermarkets next to the hotel. The only feedback we had was the cleanliness. Upon check in, we found some hair in the shower that was left by previous person and not washed away. That’s ok, we were not bothered. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves at Miano and We will definitely stay here again!"

"Overall, a fantastic experience! The room was spotless, with great natural light and ventilation, and the bedding was so soft I slept incredibly well. The front desk staff were warm and efficient, making check-in and check-out a breeze. The location is super convenient for getting around and finding places to eat. It's excellent value for money, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip. Highly recommended!"

"Pros: - Good breakfast - Rooms cleaned upon request. - Close to transit (bus station ~3-min walk, train station ~8-min walk) - Quiet environment, even though my room was on the first floor (1/F). - Helpful staff with 24-hour reception desk. - Convenient shopping.~ an 8-minute walk to Riem Arcaden mall, which has everything you need. Cons: - The bathroom door was broken and wouldn't lock. - There was no safety chain lock on the main door, which made me feel a bit insecure."
