"The young lady at the front desk was so charming and friendly, which immediately made me feel welcome and comfortable. She was very helpful and answered all my questions. The hotel is conveniently located close to the scenic area's secondary ticket office, just a short drive away. If you need a ride to the scenic area, just let the front desk know in advance, and a young man will drive you in a commercial van. The rooms are all quite nice (the photos show an upgraded room type). Food delivery is also available. While the breakfast selection isn't huge, it has all the essentials. The hotel itself is quite new and they even provide disposable bathtub liners and toilet seat covers. If I had to mention any downsides, they would be: 1. Could you please open the windows in unoccupied rooms? When I checked in, the windows were all closed, and it felt a bit stuffy. 2. Aside from the front desk staff, it would be nice if other employees could at least offer a smile when they encounter guests. (On the day I checked in, I saw an older lady, whom I'm guessing might be the owner's mom? Maybe not, but she looked quite stern, haha.)"

"At the beginning of the month, my travel companion, “Peking Duck” (my child), and I explored four small cities in Guizhou – Guiyang, Anshun, Bijie, and Xingyi. We thoroughly experienced the karst landscapes, caves, waterfalls, and pastoral scenery, all in a comfortably cool climate. Here's a comprehensive guide to share with everyone! ⭕️ Guizhou Geological Museum (reservations required, closed on Mondays, last admission at 4 PM): You can book a guided tour with fossil restoration activities, which is very interesting. ⭕️ Qingyun Market: A great place to eat and explore (definitely try Guiyang's Sour Soup Hotpot – the flavor is unique compared to other regions). ⭕️ Yelang Valley (watch Nuo opera, two shows daily: 12:00-12:30 PM and 3:00-3:30 PM. Kids who enjoy crafts can try plant carving). ⭕️ I personally don't recommend Zhijin Cave for families with young children or the elderly! However, Zhijin Grand Canyon is highly recommended. Enter via the elevator, and the entire route is a downhill walk, making it very lazy-friendly. The scenic beauty is truly impressive and worth a visit! ⭕️ Guizhou Guanling National Fossil Group Geological Park (the fossil digging area is open, but the museum area will open in late July). ⭕️ Huangguoshu Waterfall (‼️ Water Curtain Cave requires reservations and raincoats are a must!). For a lazy-friendly approach: take the round-trip elevator and capture a panoramic shot from above. If you're not up for a lot of walking, you can skip Tianxing Bridge; seeing the main waterfall is breathtaking enough! And a shout-out to the park staff – every restroom is spotless, some even have toilet seat covers! ⭕️ Fenglin Buyi (consider going in the evening when the lights are on – the scenery is even more beautiful. You can experience Buyi culture, songs and dances, iron flower performances, and other unique shows. There are many fun NPC mini-games in the scenic area. Watching the iron flower show from a boat offers a more direct and spectacular view). ⭕️ Kids will absolutely love a full day at Wanfenglin! Fishing, mini-train rides, woodworking, tie-dyeing, fruit picking, making Ciba (sticky rice cakes), and so much more – they'll never want to leave! When they get tired, relaxing at a popular cafe is pure bliss! ⭕️ Maling River Canyon (known as 'the most beautiful scar on Earth.' The scenic area closes at 5:30 PM. For an aerial view, navigate to 'Maling River Canyon Parking Lot 2'). Tips: ‼️ Guizhou attractions can be physically demanding. If you're traveling with children and have limited stamina, opt for lazy-friendly routes. ‼️ Mornings and evenings are cool, but it can be quite sunny during other times, so bring plenty of sunscreen and mosquito repellent. ‼️ Some attractions require advance reservations, so plan your itinerary accordingly! ‼️ Bring raincoats for Maling River and Huangguoshu, and wear non-slip shoes. ‼️ For Zhijin Cave, avoid wearing long pants or white shoes as it can get muddy! The cave temperature is around 10 degrees Celsius, so bring a jacket. Among the hotels we stayed at, 'Peking Duck' loved the Huangguoshu Kaiyuan Manju Hotel the most. It offers many parent-child activities, new facilities, and delicious dining! We enjoyed a cool summer with temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius throughout our trip, without any high-intensity rushing. We experienced city life, majestic gorges and waterfalls, underground marvels, pastoral peak forests, and ethnic minority customs all at once. The best classroom is always on the road; what you see with your own eyes is far more memorable than what you read in books. It’s time to get out there with the kids!"

"Guolv Hotel Transfer: The owner has a dedicated 7-seater car for transfers, with a license plate that has many '9's. Just call anytime, and they'll pick you up or drop you off – super convenient. The hotel also has a parking lot, and to my surprise, even an underground one, which was great for us driving there. We parked the car at the hotel, visited the sights, and then drove off when we were ready – no issues at all. The room is fully smart-controlled. Curtains, TV, and lights can all be controlled by voice. The only downside is that there's no smart toilet. The hotel has an elevator, which made handling luggage easy. The local weather is said to be 21 degrees Celsius all year round, but it was a bit chilly at night during our visit. I asked the front desk for a heater, and it worked quite well. The service from the staff was really good!"

"This hotel is not far from Huangguoshu Scenic Area. The overall facilities are well-maintained, and the service attitude is good. The dedicated concierge was responsive. The breakfast was simple but filling. However, the shuttle service was a bit lacking. Since the hotel usually only has one vehicle for round trips between the hotel, the scenic area, and station transfers, the shuttle duties are quite heavy. Therefore, it's even more crucial to arrange the transfer order logically, especially for station drop-offs. On the morning of my second day, I had a reservation for Shuilian Cave from 8 am to 10 am, so I pre-booked the shuttle to the scenic area. But when I went down to get in the car, the front desk told me there were guests who needed to be dropped off at the station, and asked me to wait a moment, which I agreed to. On the morning of the third day, I had to catch a 10 am bus to Xijiang, so I specifically booked the shuttle for 8:20 am the night before. The concierge also confirmed my reservation. At 8:10 am on the third day, I contacted the front desk, and they replied that the driver was currently dropping off guests and would call me when he returned. At 8:15 am, we went downstairs early. The front desk then told me that there was a family ahead of me who hadn't booked but wanted to go to the scenic area, and because they were waiting earlier than me, I would have to wait. I informed them that I had booked the 8:20 am shuttle last night. The front desk acknowledged this but said they couldn't turn away guests who showed up. At this point, the problem was already evident. The hotel's website clearly states that shuttle service requires a two-hour advance reservation. Given this, shouldn't booked reservations be prioritized? The front desk then said that our two families could fit in one car and asked if we could go together, which I agreed to. However, because we were going in different directions, the other family clearly had no intention of letting us ride with them. The driver actually returned past 8:40 am. As soon as the car arrived, that family immediately rushed in and took the front seats. We had luggage, and the elderly person had difficulty walking, so it was impossible for us. The driver knew we were in a hurry to get to the station and tried to negotiate with them to let him drop us off first, but they refused to get out. At this point, the manager came out. After understanding the situation, he found another driver who finally took us to the station. He dropped us off at the Huangguoshu Tourist Center, and we arrived at the station around 9:50 am. We rushed over anxiously, only to be told we needed to go to another station to catch the bus. All this rushing left the elderly person exhausted. I had originally planned to arrive almost two hours early precisely because the elderly person had difficulty walking and I needed to factor in luggage and security checks, but I almost missed my bus due to the shuttle issue. I have two suggestions: 1. Since your website clearly states that shuttle service requires a two-hour advance reservation, this rule must be followed. You can prioritize booked guests and then have unbooked guests wait in line for the next available shuttle. 2. The front desk should allocate reservation times reasonably based on the round-trip duration of the vehicle, instead of telling guests the car is still en route when their reservation time arrives."

"Highly recommended! This hotel offers exceptional value for money. The owner, a former designer, clearly put a lot of thought into every aspect of the hotel's design. The bedding and smart features are on par with what you'd find in a chain hotel. It's also very close to Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area, and the owner even provides a business car for transfers, which was a huge plus!"

"This hotel boasts an excellent location, less than a 5-minute walk from the No. 3 sightseeing bus stop, which is the closest stop to the scenic area. The hotel facilities are very new, and the management style resembles that of a large chain hotel. Room service is handled by robots. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the bed is very comfortable and spacious. The hotel has its own underground parking lot, making it very convenient for those traveling by car. There's a food street right across from the hotel, so dining is super easy. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Huangguoshu. On our first day, we entered the park around 3 PM, avoiding the peak crowds. We visited the Great Waterfall, Doupotang, and even got a bird's-eye view, and there weren't many people around. On the second day, we woke up early and took the sightseeing bus to Tianxingqiao around 6:40 AM. It was very uncrowded, and there was no congestion at all. We had finished our visit and returned to the hotel by 9:30 AM. This off-peak travel strategy was fantastic. Huangguoshu Waterfall is definitely worth a visit; it's truly magnificent. The hotel's excellent location also contributed greatly to our experience."

"I rarely write reviews, but this hotel was a pleasant surprise. The owner provided excellent service. Since it was the off-season and there were vacant rooms, the owner generously upgraded our room and even offered free shuttle service to and from the scenic area, which saved us a lot of hassle. Each room also comes with a washing machine, which was quite unexpected. If I had to pick a downside, it would be that the light switches in the room were a bit confusing, and the toilet flush was so strong it caused some splashing. I hope the hotel continues its great work and dedicated management."

"The service was excellent. We received a free room upgrade and on the day we checked in, they gave my child a small toy. The front desk also offers free raincoats, which are very convenient if you're visiting the 'Water Curtain Cave' (Shuilian Dong). Yesterday, we forgot our raincoats when we went out, and when we called the hotel, they even sent a staff member specifically to deliver them to us. For getting around, there's a business van available for pickup and drop-off at any time, which was great service. When we checked out, they even gave my child a bag of orange candies. My child said they want to stay here again next time we visit!"

"I'm only reviewing now because after visiting Huangguoshu Waterfall, I spent some time at my relatives' place in Guizhou. First off, the location of Qian Shou Ju Hotel is excellent, right next to the Grand Waterfall. As soon as you step out of the hotel, you're at the entrance to the large escalator. What truly impressed us was their service quality. We were traveling with an 80-year-old elder, and after touring the latter half of Tianxingqiao in the morning, we returned to the hotel past 11 AM (we had already checked out that morning). After lunch, the elder felt tired, so we hesitantly asked if there was a place for her to rest temporarily. We happened to meet Ms. Dong, a manager at the front desk, who was incredibly enthusiastic and helpful. She arranged for my mother to rest for over an hour and even had water and fruit sent to her. My family and I are deeply grateful. We hope the hotel continues to uphold this thoughtful and responsible work ethic for its guests and thrives even further."

I experienced a 'five-star feeling of happiness' here, not because of luxurious facilities, but because of the warmth of being treated like family while on a journey."
