"Shiping, a remote small county in Yunnan, is little known. I went to Shiping after my friends told me that Shiping has many niche attractions worth visiting. I searched all the hotels in Shiping online and chose Xiaohe Dangshui Inn. I didn’t have high hopes, as it was clean, bright and odor-free. When I drove to the inn, I first saw the two small courtyards inside and outside that were pleasing to the eye. They were well-kept. The teahouse, flowers, large brocades in the small pool, and green plants decorated the small courtyard with a spring atmosphere. The standard room I booked was quite good, and the room was large and refreshing. However, after looking at several rooms, I liked the leisure suite, so I upgraded to this room with extra money. The room is really big, the decoration is fashionable, simple and elegant, the bedding is white, soft and comfortable, the facilities are very complete (there is a small refrigerator), there are no blind spots in hygiene, and the dry and wet toilets are separated. As the pictures can describe, simply speaking, the rooms are better than many five-star hotels, which is beyond our expectation. The courtyard has four floors, and each floor has a leisure space outside the house for like-minded tourists from all over the world to relax and chat. The beautiful boss is warm, thoughtful and approachable. She feels like going home and has the desire to travel to Shiping and stay at the Xiaoheliangshui Inn."

"The room was clean and hygienic, and the inn's facilities were highly smart. The inn staff was enthusiastic, helpful, and patient, even guiding us on how to use the projector screen in the evening. The outdoor environment of the inn was elegant and comfortable, perfect for tea and conversation. There's a small river outside the inn, and jacarandas were in full bloom during this season, adding a great opportunity for flower viewing and photos."

"When driving to Shiping Ancient Town, there's free parking available. The hotel room faces the Yunnan Meter-Gauge Shiping Station, offering a nice environment and good cleanliness. The front desk service was excellent. There are many delicious food options within the ancient town, and visiting the Laihe Pavilion and Confucius Temple is also very interesting. I originally booked for two nights but had to check out early due to unforeseen circumstances. Here are some downsides: ① There's no breakfast, and if you wake up early, there are no places to eat nearby (Yunnan locals tend to wake up late). ② The electrical outlets in the room are older flat-pin types, which can't accommodate modern safe small appliances like two-pin cylindrical razors, massage guns, or water flossers."

"The hotel has two buildings. Since we were traveling with elderly people, we booked a room in the back row, which was quiet. The staff were exceptionally helpful, patiently explaining things to us about visiting the old town and dining options. The room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, so two people could use it without disturbing each other. The breakfast rice noodles and rice cakes were quite good (you need to be able to accept the Yunnan-style minced meat sauce). The hotel has comprehensive facilities, including an elevator, laundry room, tea room, gym, and parking."
