"I booked a one-night stay at Metro Hotel Marlow Sydney Central at the last minute. For the price, both the location and the overall facilities were quite reasonable. While it was a short stay, I felt it was a solid enough choice to recommend to others looking for value in Sydney. However, there were a few areas that could be improved. The bathroom felt quite dated, and the shower taps were a bit difficult to use. Additionally, the toilet seat felt somewhat flimsy, and the toilet itself was quite old. The Wi-Fi connection was also unreliable, so I ended up having to use my phone’s hotspot to watch YouTube. Lastly, the soundproofing was a bit weak, and I could hear some noise from the surroundings. Despite these minor issues, I believe the price is very competitive for a night in Sydney. If these small things are addressed, it would be an even better place to stay."

"We would like to express our gratitude to the reception staff (an extremely helpful young lady) whom assisted with us with our check-in process. We arrived early at 6am in Sydney on 16-Apr-2026, and as there were available rooms, we could check in earlier (room #203). We were so happy to be able to have a cosy room to rest after a long haul flight ❤️, and proceeded with our onsite meeting at 1pm later. Thank you for your great understanding, everything was great for our 2 nights stay - warm breakfast, cosy room, helpful staff and hope to visit Holiday Inns soon."

"it may be a little difficult to find the main entrance the first especially with luggages and the very different transportation options by google map but once u settled the location is excellent to anywhere. my stay was especially pleasure as all my meetings in downtown near QVB, China Town etc, a fifteen min walk was a great way to start and end the day. not to mention choices of eateries and perhaps a chill at Hyde park."

"YEHS Hotel Sydney Harbour Suites was one of the better hotels we booked in Sydney. We booked about a month in advance, and everything looked well managed. Because we booked early, we got a room with a separate bed and sofa area for a similar price to other small-room hotels — that probably made the stay feel better. The lobby area was nice, and the reception staff were professional. They also offered free coffee and cookies at the lobby, which was a pleasant touch. Check-in time is around 2 pm, so it’s good to plan your arrival accordingly. The staff kindly allowed us early check-in by about an hour. Similar to other YEHS hotels, they mentioned social media promotion, but they did not check before allocating the room. The staff were polite, helpful, and even kept our luggage safely when we arrived early. The location is very good – close to Pyrmont Bridge and the CBD area. It’s an good walk to the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. The way to the CBD has a short uphill walk but is not difficult for most people. Overall, a comfortable stay in a convenient and pleasant area."

"The hotel's location is excellent. It's very close to the central subway station and within walking distance of anywhere in the city center. There's a supermarket within 500 meters, which is super convenient. The room size was satisfactory, though the only minor downside was the sealed window, which made ventilation a bit poor. Daily cleaning was prompt and the bedding was clean. Definitely recommend."

"This is really a good hotel for cost, location and sevice. Although the room was small it had all the requirements for a single or two people. It is only a 10 min walk to central station so very covenient if you fly in or out to take airport train. The entrance is in campbell st just off george st. For first timers just press the camera to gain entrance and go to 2nd floor receptionn. The breakfast is only continental but there is plenty of it. All the girls were extremely helpful.. The Hay st Market and other attractions are all within walking distance and if you want to go to the bridge, opera house or circular quay just hop onto the light rail close by. I would definitely stay there again on my next trip to sydney"

"I booked this room purely for the views and to explore the Darling Harbour area. The location is about a 10-minute walk from Circular Quay, and it's a bit tiring with some uphill and downhill sections. It's not as convenient as the Four Seasons, but it's right next door, so there isn't a huge difference. The hotel decor is a bit dated, but fortunately, the service is great, and the front desk staff are very welcoming. The in-room dining options are quite palatable for Chinese tastes."
