"The staff were friendly and helpful and my family were impressed with the breakfast. What ruined our 1 night stay however, was the overpowering smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom. The staff thought it was from previous guests having smoky clothes, but the stench did not improve and by the morning my son had a headache and I had a sore throat. My guess is that someone was smoking in the room and it went through the air conditioning system. It wasn't possible to open the windows, so we had no way of clearing the air. I would think twice about booking a Premier Inn again, as this could have happened at any one of their hotels."

Staff were friendly, kind and helpful. There is a communal dining area and kitchen with everything provided. We made hot chocolates! I highly recommend this place!"

"This is my best hotel experience, I was waited on my Vol who bless him tried his best to provide all I needed even gave me tips on how to get around the town. Their breakfast was top notch, was served as if I was at the Ritz’s Hotel. His wife was the chef and my God, she was good l, very large portions. Packed some in a lovey box, see pic and made hot chocolate to go as I was in a hurry for two day. God bless you both🥰🙏 Thanks again, will surely come back❤️🤎"

"Stayed at the Queen's Head hotel over the weekend due to attending a concert at Buxton Opera House. We were really well looked after and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was clean , warm and welcoming. Whilst there is no on-site parking, there is parking in the market place only a minutes walk away which was easy to access. Thank you for an enjoyable stay."

"Easy to find location just outside Buxton. We found it to be an ideal base for the Peak District as it's 15 mins walk into Buxton for the great restaurants and 15 minutes drive into the hills, notably Mam Tor very close. The accommodation is comfortable, well equipped and clean. Our welcome was as friendly as you can get with Paul coming out to greet us personally and show us around. Plenty of parking outside each room and it's very quite and off road. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy. The breakfast was a treat. Paul and Sarah are generous and welcoming hosts. I will stay here again when the opportunity arises."

"If you don’t have your own transport, I wouldn’t recommend going there. It’s difficult to reach and get around. There’s no taxi service, and the bus only runs about five times a day. Plus, they don’t mention this on their website, so don’t expect any forewarning."

"We took two rooms for three nights. The rooms were comfortable - and very quiet at night (OK there are church bells on the hour in the village but I found it nicely reassuring) . Bathrooms modern. Everything spotless. The breakfast were fresh and excellent. Tricia and Andrew even helped us with charging our electric car and now have a 7kW charger installed - so perfect. The village has several eateries and pubs and is a lovely quiet place to walk around. All in thoroughly recommended."
