Lovely old hotel just across the road from Buxton Opera House. Great welcome and very helpful lady on reception. Breakfast is plentyful and well presented. Will definately be visiting again

This hotel felt homely and comfortable. It was good to be there and it would be my hotel of choice for my next visit. Definitely better than the 4 or 5 other hotels I have used in Buxton.the

Great location right in the center of town. Breakfast was full English buffet, great quality. Nice bright breakfast room. Room was large and in keeping with the age of the hotel. Would definitely stay there again. Only negative is the parking. ******* shows the hotel has parking, but it's actually just metered parking on the street that you get a discount on, so if all the spaces are already filled with people in town you're out of luck. That should be clearer on *******.

Slightly bonkers old hotel, with more furniture than you can figure what to do with. Beds were super comfortable and the room was spotless. Hairdryer tried to kill my partner (hadn't been serviced for 5 years) and the breakfast was tepid at best. Great position right next to the park.

Enjoyed our stay. Room was cute with nice touches like antique wardrobe & dresser. Beds were comfortable and shower was nice. Service was good and the old elevator was fun. The breakfast buffet was good. Area was wonderful! Would stay again & recommend to others.

The Hotel has a perfect situation, but unfortunately it’s in a time warp .Needs a total revamp , decor very tired .
Breakfast staff , not very polite and needed to replenish food more efficiently.
Unfortunately won’t be staying again , felt like we had stayed at “ Faulty Towers “ .
