There are several attractions nearby, including the Anchorage Museum, The Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, Alaska Native Heritage Center and the Alaska Railroad Depot. Guests will also enjoy our convenient location to local businesses, state and federal government offices, and hospitals. Joint Base Elmendorf/Richardson is also within 10 miles of the hotel, as is the University of Alaska Anchorage. The Holiday Inn Express Anchorage-Midtown offers all of the amenities you would expect, including free continental breakfast, wifi, and parking. We also have a pool/jacuzzi, large fitness center, and a business center with printing capabilities. Our front desk is staffed 24 hours per day, and guests can purchase items from our Pantry at any time throughout their stay.
"Although the hotel is still pretty new, there's a frightening amount of wear and tear already present on all furniture, doors and walls. While the cleanliness is as expected, sound insulation is non-existant, which is why it was hard to sleep when you could hear every vehicle outside as loud as if you were standing next to it (and our room was on the highest floor). Neither the check-in lady at the front desk nor the kitchen staff were very friendly. The breakfast was probably the worst we ever had. It's advertised from 6:30-9:30am but when we arrived at 7am, most must-have items like bagels were already gone and weren't refilled. Also, the pancake machine was broken. All in all, it was a very disappointing stay."

Amazing
Kathryn is such a wonderful host as I feel like at home. She’s warm n helpful from calling reliable taxis to recommending her favorite eating place…she even prepared a ‘sumptuous’ breakfast for us to catch our early morning train. I’m sure I’ll be back again when I visit Anchorage.

It's great that the facility has restaurants, cafes, and bars, so you don't even have to leave to get everything you need. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff's service was friendly, striking a good balance without being overly familiar. It's convenient that you can go directly to the ski resort. The skiing is fun with many lifts. The snow isn't groomed, so it might be difficult for those who aren't used to it.

Great place to stay when you work out of town

GGuest UserThe hotel is very close to the airport, a 10-minute drive. It was relatively quiet at night. We stayed there for 5 days and didn't feel disturbed. There are great Korean and Japanese restaurants near the hotel. They are delicious and the food in the restaurants is good value for money. The hotel room is not very big but it is adequate for living. The facilities are relatively old and there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The quality of breakfast is good but the variety is monotonous, the food is the same every day. Eating for 5 days in a row is boring. Korean tour groups check in every day. The hotel's value for money is generally okay. If there is a better choice, I will not stay here again next time.

The room is big and the bed is big too. Call the hotel after arriving at the airport and wait in the shuttle bus waiting area. You can get on the bus in 15 minutes. The breakfast is also good. It is a 10-minute walk from the train station. The art museum has a free shuttle bus.
