"The room was great! The hotel also offered motorbikes for rent, and there was even night squid fishing available at a very reasonable price. Plus, they provided free shuttle service to the pier, which was a huge bonus. The balcony was fantastic too!"

"We felt like we'd stumbled into paradise. It's a very quiet, secluded spot. We contacted the hotel in advance, and they met us at Naban Pier and also took us back there later. The ladies at the reception were very sweet. We were greeted with a welcome cocktail (margarita) and toffees. They processed our documents in just 3 minutes and handed us the key to a motorbike (which was free for us, included in the room rate). The room was clean, bright, and beautiful. Everything in the minibar was complimentary (the tea was delicious, excellent coffee, chips, nuts, cookies, raisins, drinks). They provide bathrobes, rubber and disposable slippers, toothbrushes with toothpaste, cotton swabs, a shower cap, a razor, combs, soap, and shampoo – everything you could possibly need. There’s also an extra beach bag and an umbrella. We booked a room with a bathtub and a sea view. The bathtub was large; two people could easily fit, even with my husband being 1.87m and me not being tiny. The view was stunning. Sunrise in the morning, the sea during the day, and Pattaya's lights at night. There were many lighting options you could turn on in the evening to create a romantic atmosphere. There's also access to a small terrace with very comfortable seating and an ashtray, for anyone who smokes. The mattress and pillows were very soft, and the bed linen was good. There were air fresheners in both the room and the toilet. The main pool is small, but you can spend some time there in the evening. I must especially mention the breakfast. It wasn't just tasty, it was magnificent; everything was fresh. We couldn't eat it all – the portions were huge! We absolutely loved it and highly recommend it. We will definitely come back here ourselves, next time for a whole week."

GGuest UserI can't understand how this hotel got such a high rating. They don't respond to emails. They don't answer questions on the Trip.com chat. Our booking was mixed up. We booked a 'Sweet' room, but they had us down for a 'DeLuxe' for some reason. The price was roughly the same when we booked. We asked to switch rooms (at check-in) and were moved from DeLuxe #3 to Sweet #2 for an additional 700 baht! I then asked to change from room #2 to #1. They said it was already booked. I pointed out that when booking, you only select the room type, not a specific room number. They got flustered... but still insisted that room #2 was the only option. For anyone booking: the best rooms with views from the window and the top deck are DeLuxe #1 and Sweet #1. The room wasn't clean; there was trash lying around. An empty chip bag was in the bin. This isn't just dirtiness – it's an indicator of poor standards. There was a used towel on the hanger. No bathrobes were provided. The top floor was sandy everywhere, including on the sun loungers. I guess they're trying to create a beach atmosphere :) The windows were dirty. The bathtub was worn. The air conditioning was noisy. They only give you one key card. If you leave the card in the slot when you step out of the room (e.g., to your own top floor), the door locks behind you (and you can't open it from the outside). If you take the card out, when you close the door, the electricity cuts off, with all the consequences – AC turns off, phones stop charging, etc. I asked for a second key card, but they refused. This is just ridiculous... they're cutting corners on AC... and on their reputation. As an option, you could bring an extension cord and plug it into the 'refrigerator' outlet :) Seriously... it's the 21st century. Overall, it's a so-so hotel. For this price, I think there are much better options. Its location, yes, is good. I understand the laid-back nature of the Thais, but there's a limit. I don't want to stress out on vacation, and who does! So, weighing all the pros and cons, the cons definitely outweigh the pros. I don't know about you, but we are definitely not coming back here. Especially for that money... there are genuinely decent options nearby. And my peace of mind is more important! Breakfasts... were decent. There's a tasty build-your-own soup with a rice base and meat (meatballs), mushrooms, various toppings, etc. A small bowl of fruit and a tiny bowl of yogurt with 3-4 blueberries and 2-3 kiwi slices. They also bring a plated portion with an omelet or two fried eggs, two sausages, two pieces of bacon, two small triangular pieces of sausage, etc. Overall, breakfast was more or less okay. There were no issues with the transfer from the hotel to Na Ban Pier. We took the ferry departing at 9:30 AM. The trip to Bali Hai Pier took 30 minutes. After a couple of ferries sank, they now seem to be counting passengers and trying to avoid overloading.

GGuest UserWe stayed on Koh Larn for two nights after a long time in Pattaya and before heading back to Bangkok.  Samanta by the Sea was a great find, and we enjoyed our stay very much.  The room was a great size, and it was even better that the hotel was only 5 min (walking) from the pier.  We were greeted by the owner and shown around. His friendliness and happiness were astonishing and so genuine. Getting free noodles, bread, and coffee 24/7 was a lovely touch, too.  We can only recommend Samanta by the Sea and will stay here heapily again.

LLaiaaaaI really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are so friendly and helpful they organised transport for me every day to different beaches and around the island. The pool is lovely and you can walk to a beach nearby but in general all the beaches are a short drive away. They serve a nice breakfast and the rooms are huge and very clean and the baths are lovely!! I will definitely come back.

GGuest UserThe hotel is beautiful, and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, there are several issues with the management system that need improvement. First, regarding room cleaning procedures: at most hotels and accommodations, the front desk keeps a spare key or key card so housekeeping can access rooms for cleaning when guests are out. At this property, guests are required to hang their room key outside the door until housekeeping finishes cleaning, sometimes as late as 2:00 PM. This is a serious security concern because anyone could potentially access the room while the key is left unattended outside. Second, if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay with good soundproofing, this hotel may not be the best choice. Noise from outside the room is easily heard throughout the day and night. Last night, shortly after midnight, I was awakened by a very loud group of people. When I went outside to investigate, I saw a group of guests drinking in the restaurant area located directly next to my room. The noise was so loud that I could not sleep. I politely asked why the restaurant was still open, as I had been informed during check-in that it closed at 10:00 PM. The guests told me that a staff member had opened the restaurant for them. I then politely asked them to lower their voices because my room was right next to the restaurant. I do not blame the guests at all. The responsibility lies with the hotel staff, who allowed the restaurant to be used after midnight despite the clearly stated closing time of 10:00 PM. Areas for improvement: 1. Guest safety and security — Guests should not be required to leave their room keys hanging outside their doors for housekeeping. 2. Enforcement of hotel policies — If the restaurant closes at 10:00 PM, that rule should be consistently followed. Future guests staying in rooms near the restaurant should not have to endure loud noise until 1:00 or 2:00 AM as I did. Overall, the hotel has potential, but better management and stricter adherence to its own policies would greatly improve the guest experience.

MMs YuemingThe appearance largely matches the promotional pictures, but it's absolutely not worth the price. 1. The water pressure in the bathroom is extremely low, and hot water supply is delayed, making it very difficult to shower. Adjusting the water temperature is a nightmare – it's either too cold or too hot, and there are no markings for hot and cold taps, haha. It took us a whole day to figure it out. 2. The hot water tap on the bathroom sink was broken; we couldn't turn off the hot water. Every time we washed our hands, it was scalding hot, which was extremely annoying. 3. Breakfast consisted of fried eggs or poached eggs, along with two pathetic slices of bread, and the sausages were terrible. The breakfast was truly awful. 4. It's close to the pier, but the view is minimal, blocked by other buildings on the left. In the mornings, there's quite a bit of speedboat noise and petrol smell. 5. The scooter rental fee at the hotel is 1.5-2 times higher than outside. There's really no need to rent from the hotel. 6. As soon as you request a late check-out, they immediately ask for more money. While the principle isn't wrong, the hot water facilities in the room were particularly infuriating.

SSeth Buzzell⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Stay at Cara Cara Hotel – Highly Recommend I had an excellent experience staying at Cara Cara Hotel Koh Larn. Everything that was advertised was exactly as described—no surprises, no disappointments. The pool was a highlight. It’s open 24 hours (from what I experienced), and it’s the perfect size. There’s both a deep end and a shallow area, which makes it great whether you want to swim, relax, or just sit in the water and cool off. The room itself was very comfortable. The bed was soft and made for a great night’s sleep. One thing I really appreciated was that the AC was already running before check-in, so the room was nice and cool the moment we walked in—huge plus in Thailand’s heat. Another great perk was the minibar, which was fully complimentary. That’s something you don’t see often and definitely added to the overall experience. Overall, this hotel delivered exactly what it promised and then some. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Koh Larn.

VVinsaComfortable stay 😊 Nice location, very close to Na Baan pier, reachable by walking distance.. I reached the stay by google map and asked around 😀 since their entrance is quite hidden-- That's the beauty of it, like secret paradise ✨ I came here on my RD of work.. My weekend getaway.. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.. I'm quite needy, hehe I need a certain color for my bed sheet, they provide. I need hairdryer, they provide. I need to rent a motorbike, they provide.. I need hot water, they have it ✨ For breakfast, I surely do eat a lot.. 1 thing, the toilet flush tank is not working properly unless I fill the tank manually.. But other than that, it's a very comfortable and cozy stay 😊 I will definitely come back soon. Since it's only 3 hours away from Bangkok 😁

GGuest UserI really enjoyed my stay here. 1. Rooms are clean and convenient compare to other hotels on this beach 2. They provide free transfers to and out of the pier. I didn’t know they can pick up you from the pier (maybe you should inform them before arriving) but they no problem can transfer you anytime to pier after check out. 3. I changed hotel to check different services and asked to store my small back on 1-2 days, because after I got booking here again. And they got no questions and stored it for free 🙏🥰 4. They provide towels and beach seats free for quests. Personal all around and my staff were save with them plus they have toilet near by. So convenient. If you now staying at hotel for can pay for seats: small chairs 100 batt, big ones 200 batt. Plus additional towels (idk how much) But we will planning to hang out at this location during our stay in different hotels on the beach because there are less people around 🙌 5. We are family of vegetarians and the host kindly agreed to chance our breakfast menu and I’m so thankful. Thank you Tawaen Beach hotel for making my stay at this beach very very comfortable. I will definitely come back again 💞

SSakuramodThe property is centrally located on the island. Motorbikes are available for rent at 300 THB, though the one we received seemed to have been in a prior accident, making it difficult to ride as it constantly pulled to the left. The location is convenient, with restaurants within walking distance, and a shuttle service is also provided. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, but the bathroom did have a slight drain odor. The room itself had no offensive smell, but wasn't particularly fresh-smelling either. The bathroom floor was quite slippery, so caution was needed when walking. The wall-mounted shower had very weak water pressure; a standard shower head would be a significant improvement. Interestingly, the water pressure at the sink and from the bidet sprayer was strong. The room lighting was rather dim and yellowish. The TV was unusable due to intermittent signal (this was in our family room). Breakfast included congee, bread, coffee, and Ovaltine.
