"Excellent shukubo, real accommodation for pillies. Traditional Japanese style, comfortable accommodation, polite pleasant staff. Excellent Sento. Delicious vegetarian caiseki. In the yard a stylish garden and a pond with carp. In the morning, guests are invited to the Buddhist traditional procedures. Very recommended!"

"Great experience in a temple in the heart of Koyasan. The rules of life within the temple are to be taken into consideration for the traveler tempted by this type of accommodation. In particular, access closes at 9.00 in the evening and no shower possible in the morning or after 21.00."

GGuest UserThe staff at the accommodation were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The English-speaking staff guided us around the facilities and thoroughly explained the rules. Despite the curfew at 9 PM, we were allowed to return later using an alternate door. Dinner was superb and delicious, with a variety of vegan dishes offered. It's a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate.

GGuest UserThis temple stay is amazing. Vegetarian breakfast and dinner was great. The morning prayer and fire ritual was great to take part in. They also offered an afternoon mediation tutorial. There was a night tour for the cemetery, however I did not take part. It was a little concerning that the English tour was ¥1000 yen more than the Japanese tour. Overall I highly recommend this place.
