The main appeal is the freshness of the ingredients. The chicken soup is a must-order; the cabbage is incredibly flavorful. The stir-fried beef with celery is a generous portion that will fill you up, and the celery is even tastier than the beef. Breakfast includes rice noodles, corn, and sweet potatoes. The prices are reasonable and fair; they don't overcharge just because it's in a tourist area. Other: The owners are a warm and welcoming family. You can even watch the young owner pet his tabby cat – a truly pleasant experience.

The only downside is that the stairs are too narrow, making going up and down a bit inconvenient. However, there's a terrace downstairs where you can sit and watch the clouds rise and see the sunrise in the morning. The cleanliness was acceptable, but the squat toilet wasn't quite what I was used to!
