After a year, I'm back at the Nanyuan Hotel in Ningbo, and it's just as delightful as ever! Last year, I was won over by their thoughtful service and it stayed with me. This time, the stay was again perfect, so comfortable and reassuring. I was pleasantly surprised when they kindly upgraded my room for free during check-in! 👍

The hotel environment is elegant and clean, with a warm and comfortable ambiance. During my two-day stay, the service was thorough, detailed, gentle, and enthusiastic. All my requests were handled quickly and properly, showing their dedication and care. I truly felt a warm 'home away from home' experience.

This established hotel consistently delivers quality, with warm and attentive service. Its prime location is perfect for both leisure travelers and business stays. I sincerely recommend it to anyone visiting Ningbo. Next time I'm in Ningbo, I'll definitely choose Nanyuan Hotel again!

True to its reputation as a five-star landmark in Ningbo, the Nanyuan Universal Hotel boasts excellent facilities. The rooms are spacious and quiet, with outstanding soundproofing. Smart curtains and a well-equipped work desk cater perfectly to business travelers. They even thoughtfully recommend local eateries and travel routes. The service is impeccable, striking the perfect balance and truly delivering that high-end 'home away from home' feeling. My stay was absolutely flawless!

I really loved the overall style of the room, especially the large projector screen and the bathtub – they made for a fantastic experience. However, it was a holiday, so there were a lot of kids, and the hotel's soundproofing wasn't great. Even though we switched rooms mid-stay due to a small issue, the soundproofing in the new room wasn't much better. But when I called the front desk at night, they were very proactive in helping resolve the problem, and their service attitude was excellent. I'd definitely consider staying again during the off-season to fully enjoy it, as the scenery outside the hotel is quite beautiful.

The environment is quiet and peaceful, with lots of greenery around and no noise. The decor is simple and tasteful, without any cheap-looking ornaments. The room is spacious, the mattress is just right – not too soft, not too hard – and the pillows are soft. The bedding is skin-friendly and breathable. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation, hot water is stable, and both lighting and ventilation are excellent. Everything is meticulously clean with no strange smells, and the soundproofing is also good, making for a truly relaxing and comfortable stay. Front desk attendant Kitty provided very thoughtful and attentive service.

Here's a review of the hotel:

1.  The congee came without any side dishes, not even pickles.
2.  There was no menu at breakfast, making it impossible to distinguish between vinegar and soy sauce.
3.  The pan-fried dumplings were cold and unpleasant to eat.
4.  The fruit clearly looked like it had been cut the day before, as the surface was already dry.
5.  The cornstarch thickening in one dish was so excessive it looked like snot.
6.  Steamed items like corn and buns couldn't be self-served; you had to stretch your hand out with a plate to an attendant, who would then serve you. It felt like begging.
7.  The hotel seems to have sold many packages recently, attracting a lot of tourists. Breakfast was incredibly noisy, with many people making calls on speakerphone and loudly chatting with friends.
8.  The hotel itself is new, but the service is far from adequate. Staff seemed to be in a constant state of 'I'm new and don't know anything.'
9.  The ground floor pool is outsourced, and there were many people coming and going for swimming lessons. You could even smell hydrogen peroxide in the lobby.
10. There were only two bottles of mineral water in the room, which isn't enough for summer.
11. The gym had no towels or mineral water.
12. The lobby was filled with local residents seeking refuge from the heat.
13. Both the gym and the pool are outsourced, so the hotel has no control over their opening and closing times. Currently, they open at 8 AM, which is inconvenient for early risers. From another perspective, this means the hotel doesn't currently have an in-house gym.

Overall, the hardware, being newly renovated, would rate above 4 points. However, the software and service would be below 2 points. This might be due to it being a new hotel, with staff service still in a development phase.

. . . I talked to two different people on the phone and in person twice. I didn’t drink the paid tea. However, when I checked out, they chased me and charged me 😞. The concierge was useless. The man at the front desk who checked in on the first day was arrogant. The decoration style of the room is very shocking. It is glossy lacquered tiger-spot huanghuali wood-veneer style furniture, not matte. It is too rich and tasteless. The carpets and cabinets are old, and the coffee table and the end of the bed have sharp corners that can easily hurt people. The room is far from the elevator. At first, I asked that the swimming pool would be closed for two days. On the 15th, I asked and said that it opened yesterday. The management of the outsourced swimming pool was chaotic, their attitude was arrogant, and the environment was not good. There are many people in the swimming pool, it is small, noisy, old and dilapidated, the stones are cracked, and the experience is not good. I complained to Ctrip about the swimming pool and the environment, and wanted Ctrip to ask for two free breakfasts, but the hotel actually refused. I stayed there for four days and was so stingy.

But luckily I ordered it cheaply, you get what you pay for, cheap stuff doesn’t mean good stuff😄😃😂😁. The room was very clean and the cleaning staff was very responsible. The furniture is not practical, the small coffee table is rickety, the TV is too old and there are not enough clothes racks. The operation of water discharging from the bathtub is inconvenient, and there is only one buckwheat pillow. . . Fortunately, the service was okay and the issue was resolved. Anyway, don’t expect too much. Not as good as the Intercontinental Hotel, unprofessional and gross.

No bedside stool! Their official pictures are painted with shocking varnish, and they use a wide-angle lens. The modern room is big, but it's not that big, and it doesn't have that effect.

The hotel will have a housekeeper to contact by phone in advance and add WeChat. If you need it, you can communicate in advance. The parking lot is oversized. Parking is convenient. Every Friday and Saturday, there is a buffet dinner of 138/person. There are salmon 🍣 crayfish 🦞 steak 🥩. The regular ones are very suitable for vacations. There are 8407 people buffet. No The pool maintenance on the day of the coincidence, I couldn’t use the upgrade. The room was not satisfied. The front desk said that there was no such permission. The general manager needed to approve it. However, the hotel sent a fruit plate and an extra breakfast. 
There is a gym in the hotel (professional level, in-house guests and free group classes, which is a surprise)
The waiter in the hotel is very polite. Get on and off the bus and take the initiative to drive the door. Carry the luggage. The price is high. The price of 499 nights is tens of thousands of yuan.

The hotel boasts an excellent location near Dongqian Lake, very close to Xiaoputuo on the lake and Hanling Old Street. The hotel facilities are also quite good; it's a very comfortable hotel. The lovely young lady at the front desk was exceptionally kind, patient, and attentive, speaking softly and calmly – a pleasant sight and sound. The hotel breakfast was also excellent, nutritious, and varied, offering both Chinese and Western options. I felt a pang of reluctance to leave. Highly recommended; I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Ningbo.

Because I had wine at the hotel the next day, I chose this one blindly for the convenience of it. It was unexpectedly good.
The room is super big, 3-4 It is also suitable for individuals to go out. The bunk beds are simply dreaming of returning to the dormitory time, and I don’t want to leave at all. 🥹
The service was also great. When we checked in, the front desk saw that we were three people. We sent us an extra breakfast. We were so grateful. We also had white fungus soup for free in the evening.

Due to renovations disturbing my child's studies at home, we temporarily arranged for my child to stay here alone. Front desk staff, Xiao Zhang and Xiao Ye, were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They prioritized finding a quiet room and took great care of my child, who was staying by themselves. Their service was patient and thorough, always putting the guest first, which really eased my concerns as a parent. The excellent and warm service from these two employees is truly commendable, and I'd like to extend my special thanks!

My experience at Shanghe Nanyuan Hotel far exceeded my expectations! The new Chinese-style courtyard environment is elegant and serene, and the facilities are all brand new and spotless. The guest rooms are spacious, the bedding is soft, and the soundproofing is excellent. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area. The front desk service was thoughtful and attentive, and they even offered complimentary fresh fruit upon check-in. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes. There's free parking for those driving, and it's a short drive to the Silk Road Thousand-Year Performance, making it convenient to visit Shanghe Pearl. It's my top choice for a vacation stay, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Jiaozhou.

The hotel is relatively new overall, the rooms are clean and tidy, the front desk service is attentive, the restaurant has rich food, the sleeping environment is quiet, the overall experience is good, it is worth staying, and the manager is a beautiful woman, I feel good after seeing it, I will book here next time!

I stayed at the Wencheng Hotel a few years ago. It was an old hotel, but I appreciated the service. This time, I was originally staying at the Sunshine Holiday Hotel when I returned to my hometown, but seeing the newly renovated Wencheng Hotel across the street, I decided to stay there for two days. The hotel has a grand decor, and the service is as good as ever (even more attentive than before). It has a dedicated parking lot, the rooms are quite large, clean and tidy, and the breakfast is plentiful. I've uploaded a video so those interested can see it for themselves. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.
