Overall, the location is superb, right in the heart of Lujiazui, making transportation incredibly convenient. The river view is definitely the biggest highlight. The service is consistently good, but the hotel's facilities are a bit dated, and some amenities are lacking. It's still a good option for a trip to Shanghai.

First, I have to commend Vinnie at the front desk. Her service was exceptionally thoughtful and meticulous. During check-in, she patiently asked about my accommodation needs and travel plans and even proactively upgraded my room. I was really hoping for an expansive river view, so this gesture was particularly heartwarming. The staff at the kids' club were also very responsible and caring, helping to look after the children, which made staying with kids very reassuring.

However, the upgraded room was a corner room, and the viewing windows were a bit small, so I didn't get the full river view I was hoping for, which was a minor disappointment. The room itself was very clean, but the hotel is quite old, and the carpet looked worn and dirty. The in-room facilities were also quite basic, clearly showing the age of an older hotel.

The breakfast selection was very rich, with many Chinese and Western options, and the taste was good. A high percentage of guests were international, creating a great atmosphere. However, during peak hours, there were a lot of diners, and the food lines were long, making it inconvenient to go back and forth for food.

Additionally, I booked a package that included Disney tickets, and I was looking forward to taking the hotel's shuttle to and from Disneyland. Unfortunately, this shuttle service has been canceled, which significantly reduced the convenience of getting around. This was quite disappointing.

Overall, the location and service are major positives, while the hardware facilities are a drawback. I'd likely consider staying here again on my next trip to Shanghai, but I'll also compare it with other riverside hotels before making a decision.

Shanghai Jing An Shangri-La is perfectly situated in the heart of Jing'an's bustling commercial district, offering incredibly convenient transportation and immediate access to vibrant city life. The 'cloud-level' rooms provide stunning panoramic views of Shanghai. The dining options are diverse, and the front desk staff, Tina, Luca, and Jessica, provided thoughtful and attentive service. The hotel is also well-equipped. Definitely worth another visit!

To avoid the May Day rush, we brought our baby to Shanghai early for a birthday trip and chose the Shangri-La Qiantan – the hotel experience was fantastic!

The hotel is right next to Taikoo Li, making dining, drinking, and shopping very convenient.

**Facilities**: I'd noted that I wanted the hotel to decorate the room for taking videos and photos of the baby as a souvenir. To my surprise, the front desk upgraded us to a suite during check-in! It had two bathrooms, and the bathroom floor tiles even had underfloor heating, allowing the baby to run around barefoot freely, haha! A big thank you to Angelly, Luna, Riley, Nataly, Sylvia, Amily, and Sarah from Guest Relations for thoughtfully decorating with birthday balloons and even providing a small cake – it made for some amazing photos!

**Hygiene**: The room was cleaned promptly and thoroughly. The hotel interior was also very clean and bright, and the gym equipment was spotless – I even saw a staff member cleaning it. The swimming pool water was so-so; I'm not sure how often they change it.

**Service**: The hotel staff provided excellent service. Everyone greeted us, and they went out of their way to help whenever we needed something. The staff at the buffet restaurant were particularly wonderful. Since our baby doesn't eat salt yet, they specially cooked plain congee and an egg for him for dinner. The restaurant's fruit was chilled, and they even brought an extra banana for the baby, making it easy to continue his complementary feeding even while traveling – very thoughtful!

Parking was also very convenient. You can register your license plate at the front desk for free parking, allowing unlimited entry and exit during your stay. All in all, I'll definitely come back to this hotel on our next trip to Shanghai. Looking forward to our next visit!

Took the baby to a hotel where we could watch planes ✈️ take off and land.

The lobby is on the 3rd floor, or you can check in at the Executive Lounge on the 12th floor. We stayed in a room on the 9th floor where we could see the planes, and my baby was so excited! However, the room design was a bit odd. I thought there would be a bathtub, but it was just a shower, and the shower curtain wasn't long enough, so the bathroom floor was completely wet after showering… not very user-friendly.

The food was quite good, all served in the Executive Lounge on the 12th floor. The view there was even better than from the room – I just wanted to stay in the lounge forever, haha! Afternoon tea started at 2:30 PM, and the brownies were delicious. A cup of tea and a brownie, watching planes and daydreaming – so chill.
Happy hour was at 5:30 PM. If you're not too picky, it could easily pass for dinner. They had fried rice, BBQ meats, vegetables, meat soup, sweet soup, and dim sum. There was also a good selection of drinks, including hawthorn juice which my baby loved.
Breakfast the next day was a mix of à la carte and buffet, with a Chinese focus. The wontons were delicious, I'm not sure why they weren't on the menu, they tasted very fresh, probably freshly made. The plain congee wasn't great; it felt like old congee that had been re-boiled with added water. The black tea was also a letdown, with tea dregs sticking to the cup walls, which felt a bit cheap.

As for the service, well, it's really hard to rate.
Individual service was excellent. For example, the lady at the Executive Lounge remembered my baby's favorite drink, and when we left, the bellboy helped us load our luggage into the trunk at P parking.
However, when it came to anything requiring communication, things really fell apart:
- For instance, during check-in, I asked for baby slippers and toiletries. The front desk lady said housekeeping would send them right away. But after a long wait, I called again to follow up, and when the service staff finally arrived, there were only toiletries?! I waited a long time again before the baby slippers were finally delivered (sigh).
- Another example: dining at Xiangju Jiangnan Zao on the 2nd floor, I asked to charge it to the room. Even though I had paid a substantial deposit, they claimed it wasn't enough. Only after reconfirming a second time did they say they had made a mistake?! It's like, if you're not embarrassed, then everyone else is.
- And finally, the package included a 200 RMB dining credit. At check-out, I specifically confirmed with the gentleman on the 12th floor to apply it, and he said no problem, the deposit would be refunded shortly. An hour later, they overcharged me by 200 RMB… (facepalm) So frustrating.

The hotel service, as always, was professional and meticulous. The staff were patient, thoughtful, and enthusiastic. Even before check-in, the hotel departments noticed from the booking that there would be children staying, so they decorated the room in a child-friendly way early on, with all sorts of children's amenities readily available, and even bananas among the welcome fruit, which kids love. Both during check-in and check-out, we encountered Miss Sun Yue. She's an excellent employee who can consider issues from the customer's perspective, quickly come up with solutions, and resolve problems efficiently. Although this stay was very satisfying, there's one detail I hope the hotel management pays attention to. There's a sign at the entrance of the executive lounge clearly stating that guests in inappropriate attire or disposable slippers are not allowed. However, during afternoon tea and breakfast, a few guests who disregarded this rule still entered, which certainly affected other guests and made the sign seem pointless.

This old five-star hotel is still well-maintained, but this time, during the May Day holiday, there were so many guests that even the Executive Lounge was packed. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner were all swamped, which really impacted the stay experience. Also, the food at the Executive Lounge was genuinely subpar, especially the afternoon tea, which has dropped several levels compared to before. The happy hour offerings were also just so-so, with no substantial dishes. We booked a suite this time, and the view was fantastic. I was very pleased with the large fruit platter.

After two years, I revisited Beijing for a 4-day, 3-night trip and chose the China World Summit Wing, Beijing, located by the Third Ring Road.

**Environment**: The hotel view is absolutely stunning, situated on the 70th floor directly facing the Zun Tower and the 'Big Trousers' (CCTV Tower). The sunrise 🌅 was especially breathtaking!

We upgraded to a Grand Premier Executive King Room, which was quite spacious, with excellent facilities and a very comfortable bed.

Breakfast was incredibly luxurious, featuring an à la carte menu and attentive service. While I wasn't keen on the traditional Beijing stir-fried liver, everything else was exquisite and delicious. Afternoon tea and happy hour were also very rich and diverse. For a window seat with a view, it's best to go early.

I have two minor suggestions: firstly, the shower water temperature fluctuated quite a bit, especially towards the end of a shower, needing significant adjustments to stay warm; secondly, happy hour felt a bit too much like afternoon tea. It would be perfect if there were more options for hot dishes.

Overall, I'm very satisfied and would consider staying here again on my next visit to Beijing.

Let's start with the positives. I've stayed at many Shangri-La hotels in various Chinese cities, and the Shougang Park location definitely has the most distinctive decor. All the facilities are well-maintained, and the rooms feel quite new. It's also just a few minutes' walk from the Yongding River. 

Now for the negatives. During peak holiday periods, their guest handling capacity and service level are somewhat lacking. First, the concierge did call me in advance to ask about my preferences. After I clearly stated I wanted a room with a view of the Gongbei Pavilion and not on a low floor, they promised to try their best to arrange it. The result? I was given a 'chimney room' on the 3rd floor. When checking in, I reluctantly accepted the front desk agent's explanation that there was only one room with a good view on each floor and they couldn't arrange it for me. However, I couldn't accept the claim that all higher-floor rooms were fully occupied and I could only stay on the 3rd floor (out of 8 floors total). Even if it was the 3rd floor, it was a connecting room, so I firmly requested a room change. They quickly moved me to the same room type on the 4th floor. So I have to ask, why did they say there were no rooms on higher floors in the first place? What was the point of calling me beforehand if they couldn't meet such a basic request? I suggest they don't waste time with those calls if they can't deliver.

Secondly, there were no obvious signs or staff guiding guests, which is extremely unhelpful for first-time visitors. The hotel layout is complex, with many twists and turns. It took a long time to find the concierge, front desk, and restaurant.

Finally, when checking out, I asked the front desk if I could have a few bottles of mineral water, and the agent surprisingly said no. This is unacceptable for a five-star hotel. While the rooms have direct drinking water, shouldn't they consider guests who prefer not to drink it?

In summary, I probably won't stay here again. If you absolutely have to come, I recommend visiting during the off-season.

Another Fabulous stay, from start to finish. 

This hotel is becoming a second home in Shenzhen! 
It was not my first stay at the Shangri-La Luohu, and it will not be the last. I missed the pulse and liveliness of the marketplace at Shenzhen port, and the Shangri-La is perfectly located for an incredible stay.

It’s a friendly place to stay with the warmest of welcomes.
The Shangri-La reception team shared helpful suggestions on where to go and how to get there, suggestions that made a difference. The room standard has been consistent. The city view room was bright, with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. The amenities are fantastic with a well-kept sauna and jacuzzi.

I would like to extend a huge thank you to the team who were a pleasure to chat with and get to know. I hope the weekend brings you a lovely moment in your diverse neighbourhood :)

Absolutely loved my stay here! The hotel is right above Futian High-Speed Rail Station, which made traveling to Hong Kong incredibly convenient. I could get to the station just ten minutes before my train. It was truly excellent. Although the hotel has a classic, older feel, it still offers top-notch service and standards. Really fantastic, I loved it so much. The breakfast was plentiful, with a wide variety of delicious Cantonese dishes available right there. It was truly great. Highly recommended! The surrounding shopping areas are also super close. Next time I'm in the area, this will be my first choice!

The Shangri-La Shenzhen Nanshan is absolutely the most delightful 'cloud hotel' I've stayed in recently! It truly lives up to its reputation as a flagship masterpiece designed by CCD, bringing Lingnan gardens into the sky at 290 meters. The seamless blend of oriental elegance and modern luxury completely redefined my perception of Shangri-La.

My stay was upgraded to a suite on the 74th floor. The spacious 86-square-meter-plus room offered breathtaking 270-degree panoramic views from its floor-to-ceiling windows! In the daytime, the Shenzhen Bay sparkled; in the evening, an orange sunset painted the sea, and at night, I could even see the lights of Window of the World – every moment felt like a painting. The aqua-green tones, complemented by Lingnan screens and a birdcage-themed mini-bar, showed incredible attention to detail. Amenities like a Dyson hairdryer, L'Occitane toiletries, and a smart toilet were all provided. The bathtub, directly facing the floor-to-ceiling window, offered an incredibly blissful experience of soaking while admiring the city lights.

The 'Collection 66' restaurant on the 66th floor felt like a secret garden in the sky. For breakfast, the freshly made rice noodle rolls and congee were incredibly authentic, alongside fresh juices and young coconuts – a wide variety of delicious options. The high-altitude, heated infinity pool on the 77th floor was incredibly dreamy; with its 'Moon Rising from the Sea' art installation, swimming while looking down at the city lights was incredibly therapeutic.

The service maintained Shangri-La's usual attentiveness. Concierge proactively helped with luggage, the turndown service was thoughtful and warm, and the member benefits were generous – a significant room upgrade and complimentary mini-bar. The location is super convenient, within walking distance of the subway station and seamlessly connected to a shopping center. It's perfect for both business and leisure, and it has definitely been added to my must-stay list for Shenzhen!
