I booked a traditional hotel in Lujiazui, Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai. The lobby was grand, the room was well-maintained, and the facilities were complete. Breakfast was delicious, and the lounge on the 21st floor of the old building offered unparalleled views. Rylie, Joy, and Anna from the Horizon Club, as well as Autumn, the lobby manager, were all very friendly. They took care of my child, addressed our room needs, and even added a bed rail. It was a perfect family trip.

The room was more spacious than it appeared in the photos. The executive room's grey-blue wallpaper, which isn't present in the standard rooms, matched the carpet color better. I stayed in an east-facing room, which offered a clear view of the Lujiazui 'three-piece suit' (referring to the three iconic skyscrapers), and the actual view was even more impressive than in pictures.

The breakfast at the executive lounge was excellent; both the buffet items and the made-to-order dishes were delicious. The afternoon tea selection was quite ordinary. A minor drawback was the absence of lunch service.

The lobby on the first floor of the Jing An branch was a bit dark, and there were many people passing through from the mall. For executive floor guests, I recommend checking in directly at the lounge.

Every year, I celebrate my birthday at a luxury hotel in Shanghai. This time, I chose the Shangri-La Qiantan, Shanghai, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. The hotel is located in Qiantan Center, right next to the Taikoo Li commercial district and a subway station, making it convenient for shopping, dining, and getting around. For this stay, I booked a Horizon Club room. Eileen from the lounge confirmed my itinerary and needs in advance, helping me arrange birthday decorations and an extra bed for my child, making the check-in process smooth and seamless. I stayed on the 26th floor. The room was spacious, and the facilities were relatively new and functional. The sofa bed was particularly suitable for families with two children, providing ample space without feeling cramped. The room was incredibly quiet at night, except for the occasional door closing next door, which was perfect for a light sleeper like me. I also enjoyed three meals at the Horizon Club, and the service was outstanding. Even with the large number of guests during the National Day holiday, everything was well-organized. They even had holiday decorations and prepared gifts for the children, which was a very thoughtful touch. I will definitely consider staying here again for my birthday next year.

✈️ **Unbeatable ”Land and Arrive” Location:** Seamlessly connected to the T2 terminal departure level, it's just a few minutes' walk to the check-in counters. For those catching a flight, this convenience is unparalleled.

✈️ **Immersive Views for Aviation Enthusiasts:** This stay was entirely to fulfill my child's wish to see airplanes. And it did not disappoint! As soon as we entered, my child was incredibly excited – thoroughly enjoying watching all sorts of planes! The room comes standard with quadruple-pane soundproof glass, and my real-world test confirmed almost no noise. Lying in bed watching planes take off and land, every snap becomes a masterpiece. It's a paradise for aviation lovers. Initially, when I called, they said my booked room type might not have plane views, depending on the day, which made me a bit disheartened. But upon arrival, they unexpectedly upgraded me to a family room! I'm so surprised and incredibly grateful!

✈️ **Shangri-La's Next-Gen Aesthetic Upgrade:** The design has shed the traditional ”old-school bureaucratic” style, blending new Chinese minimalism with Shanghai culture. Both the lobby and rooms are highly photogenic. It's said to have opened in 2023, so the facilities are brand new. And the design is very well thought out, making for a very comfortable stay!

✈️ **Full ”Horizon Club” Privileges:** All rooms enjoy executive benefits (afternoon tea, happy hour, etc.). This also came as a pleasant surprise to me. You can go up anytime for drinks, coffee, and snacks, which was fantastic! Although the staff described them as light meals, I found them quite substantial. Even though breakfast is semi-buffet, the à la carte and self-service options were completely satisfying! I was very happy with the food! The Horizon Club staff were also incredibly warm and energetic. It was the first time I truly felt at home.

I also want to thank Milly. When I checked out, I provided some minor feedback, and she truly treated it as an important matter for follow-up. I'd definitely be willing to come back again!

Over two days, the staff's service was impeccable and never felt uncomfortable. Every staff member proactively greeted us (even smiling warmly when opening car doors). A small gesture, like being offered a cup of coffee at breakfast, was very touching. Friends who frequent hotels will understand that achieving this level of service isn't just about lavish spending, but also requires time and dedication.

I booked the Shangri-La Beijing through Ctrip and stayed in the Horizon Club on the 12th floor, where I had a fantastic check-in experience at the Horizon Club Lounge.

A special thank you to employee Zhou Jingyu, who provided attentive and detailed service. She made the check-in process efficient and thoroughly explained the executive lounge's offerings for each time slot: breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening happy hour. She clearly outlined the opening times and food options for each, giving me a complete understanding of the benefits.

The Horizon Club Lounge offers a quiet and comfortable environment with an excellent private atmosphere. The overall service was thoughtful and meticulous. It also happened to be my birthday, and the hotel sent a birthday cake – I was very happy!

Traveling with my elderly parents and kids, our Ctrip executive room booking got a free upgrade, and they even included breakfast for an older child. The happy hour and the 64th-floor lobby lounge were perfect for the seniors and kids to relax. The front desk staff were patient and polite, thumbs up! 👍

The bars and restaurants on the 80th and 79th floors are also great for meeting friends, very convenient. The night view is beautiful.

The breakfast is worth mentioning; while the variety isn't super extensive, the quality is excellent. It catered to both the elderly and children with a good mix of Chinese and Western options, plus à la carte dishes. For a five-star hotel at this price point, the breakfast alone deserves a high score.

Extremely satisfied with our short getaway experience in Western Beijing! From the moment we checked in, Yolanda, the receptionist, was beautiful, enthusiastic, and lovely. She was very patient in pointing out important details since I was checking in with two elderly people. Thumbs up! 👍

The hotel environment is super comfortable, perfect for family and friends gatherings. The location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient to explore the vast Shougang Park. All attractions are just a short distance from the hotel.

The room was clean and tidy, and the housekeeping service was prompt, thoughtful, and patient. 👏 I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit! ✌️

I booked this trip for a birthday celebration, hoping for a little surprise when I made the reservation. While nothing special was arranged later, it wasn't a big deal. However, the overall stay was quite average: the soundproofing in the room was terrible. I could clearly hear the doorbell ringing several times from the room next door, which was very disruptive to my rest. Overall, it didn't meet the service standards of a five-star hotel. The pool wasn't anything special either; at best, it's just a regular hotel offering basic facilities. The upside is that the double bed was indeed very large.

First off, the hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Futian CBD. It's incredibly convenient for transportation, with Futian High-Speed Rail Station and multiple (5!) subway lines right next to the hotel. There are also plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, like Link CentralWalk, Star River COCO Park, and Shopping Park. The room itself was very spacious, and it even had a walk-in closet, which I haven't seen in the same room type at Shangri-La hotels I've stayed at in Beijing, Xi'an, Xiamen, Nanchang, Chengdu, Sanya, or Guangzhou. The only downside is that the price is quite a bit higher than those other Shangri-La properties, but overall, it's still a great stay.

My stay at Shangri-La Shenzhen Nanshan truly exceeded all expectations, I simply have to rave about it!

💁 Butler Service: Nico was incredibly attentive!
Nico called me in advance to confirm my check-in needs and preferences. On the day of arrival, she even upgraded us to a bay view room on a higher floor with a stunning view, free of charge. She personally escorted us from the ground floor all the way to our room, explaining all the facilities and providing helpful tips along the way – so thoughtful! During our stay, any request we had was met with an immediate response. Nico, our butler, was truly caring, gentle, and professional.

🌃 Night View: The 'cloud-level' vista was absolutely breathtaking!
The hotel lobby and guest rooms are mainly located from the 66th to the 78th floor. Even before entering the room, you can overlook the entire Shenzhen Bay, which is truly stunning. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows on the higher floors offer an exceptionally expansive view, with Shenzhen Bay and the city skyline spread out before you. In the evening, the golf course, the 'Spring Bamboo' tower, and Shenzhen Bay are all visible, making the scenery particularly amazing. Gazing at the city lights from the 66th floor, any fatigue instantly melted away.

🍽️ Dining: Both the buffet dinner and breakfast were plentiful!
The dinner buffet offered an incredibly rich variety of dishes, with seafood, sashimi, desserts, and Haagen-Dazs ice cream – everything you could wish for. The hotel's breakfast buffet was also very extensive, with many options. The freshly made congee, fresh coconut opened on the spot, and authentic Hong Kong-style dim sum were all fantastic. The freshly made rice noodle rolls and morning tea dim sum were also very authentic. Breakfast was enjoyed at the high-altitude restaurant on the 66th floor, offering panoramic views of Shenzhen Bay. Eating breakfast by the window, while enjoying the scenery, was pure bliss.

Overall, the service, views, and dining were all top-notch. I'm grateful that my Trip.com Black Diamond membership's 'one city, one room' benefit allowed us to experience the charm of Shangri-La Nanshan.
