This was my first stay at this hotel, and I was very impressed. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, which was a big plus. I especially loved that a robot delivered all my food orders right to my room – so convenient! The hotel is also super well-located, just a 5-10 minute walk from Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, where there's an endless array of delicious food. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Guangzhou!

The Arthur hotel definitely surpassed my expectation. Its location is close to the Canton Tower, with a huge mall nearby and an easy drop off/pickup spot for Didi. The hotel has a knight theme, so everything is designed around it so it has the novelty factor. 
The room is really roomy, quiet and cozy. They got great amenities and even some special pillow you can use and the bathrobe is silky soft. All of which you could purchase at a discounted price. I love the projected TV and the hotel paid for the VIP account on the TV box so we could enjoy foreign films at night. They have a unique design where you could pull the rope tied to the ceiling and the lights will turn on and the curtains will close, I wish it could just be a master switch instead. 
The service is good, and there’s a robot for delivery. It was very convenient so we don’t have to go down to pick it up at the lobby.
There is a gym and laundry room but we didn’t use it so can’t really comment. 
I would definitely return again in the future.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, perfect for exploring Guangzhou and soaking in the local culture. It feels nestled in a residential area, yet it's surrounded by historical and cultural sites. Getting to the subway station or major shopping malls is a breeze, either by shared bike or taxi. Many popular attractions are close by, including the zoo. The area around the hotel is quite peaceful (there's a Xinjiang restaurant downstairs worth trying). Directly opposite the hotel is a lovely garden. Inside, the hotel's decor feels understated yet luxurious, primarily featuring a black, white, and gray palette with natural materials like marble, wood, and glass. The interior environment is fantastic. There's a sofa by the window with elegant gray blackout curtains and sheer white drapes, which looks beautiful. (The room key cards and laundry area even feature quotes from the Book of Songs, adding a nice touch of cultural sophistication. The laundry and drying service is excellent, leaving clothes smelling wonderful.) The hallways are fully carpeted. Overall, the interior is well-maintained, facilities are comprehensive, and the service is excellent.

The air conditioning was very strong, and the breakfast was delicious. Xiao Chen at the front desk provided excellent and patient service.

The experience was a 10/10. All the staff were kind and accommodating with anything we needed. The room was spacious and cleaned everyday as per our expectations. They offered different cuisine for breakfast which accommodated all our needs. Definitely coming back over and over again I

Guangzhou Paco Hotel (Beijing Road Pedestrian Street Branch) Executive Room Review:

After showering, the WC area always floods, and the water doesn't drain properly. There are mosquitoes in the room, which is incredibly annoying. The housekeeping staff is very thoughtful, providing extra bottles of drinking water every day. The hotel's breakfast buffet has decent-tasting dishes, but there's no egg station for soft-boiled or sunny-side-up eggs, and the fruit selection is limited. Even more concerning is seeing flies on the desserts, raising serious hygiene concerns.

This was my second time staying at this hotel, and it was pretty good. The facilities are quite comprehensive. This time, they said they'd arrange a quieter room for me, which was 401. It did seem a bit better than the adjacent room 402 (it's inevitable that it's a bit noisy since Guangzhou North Railway Station is right outside). What I was most satisfied with was the free and ample parking – super happy about that, unlike other hotels that charge and still have no parking spaces. The breakfast was also decent; although there wasn't a huge variety, they had simple essentials like eggs and congee. Ordering takeout was also convenient.

Eight years ago, I stayed at this hotel, and upon returning to Guangzhou, I chose it again. This time, however, the entire experience was extremely poor and very disappointing. During breakfast, there were cockroaches on the tables, raising serious concerns about hygiene. The room's carpet had noticeable stains, and the hallway had a strong, unpleasant odor. Although I didn't specifically request a non-smoking room, the room I was assigned reeked of smoke multiple times throughout the night, severely disrupting my sleep. I had hung the 'Please make up room' sign, but when I returned, only the trash was emptied, and toothbrushes were replaced; the bed was completely untouched. The in-room TV was also faulty, with unresponsive remote control buttons and an abnormal display, negatively impacting my stay.

The room was clean, spacious, and bright, with no strange odors. The layout was very well-designed, and the bedding was excellent, ensuring a comfortable sleep. Free parking was available, and food delivery was brought up by a robot. Overall, the service was attentive, and the front desk staff was very thoughtful. This is easily one of the most comfortable hotels I've stayed at in Guangzhou, offering fantastic value for money at this price point. If I have work in the area again, I'll definitely be choosing this place.

This is by far the hotel with the highest proportion of foreign guests I've stayed at, and it's also relatively quiet. The breakfast is good and quite substantial. However, the afternoon tea and 24-hour coffee were a bit underwhelming and not quite what I expected. The rooms facing south look out onto that big 'copper coin' building, which isn't much of a view. Other than that, I have no complaints.

My stay at Paco Hotel Luohu Port was beyond expectations! The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to Luohu Port and the subway station, making travel incredibly convenient. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding soft and comfortable, and the bathroom had a separate shower and no strange odors. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, efficient with check-in, and even thoughtfully provided recommendations for the surrounding area. This will definitely be my go-to choice next time I visit Shenzhen!

I live in China (but I am an American), and I travel extensively and often around China and Hong Kong, and most frequently to Shenzhen. 
First the good: the hotel was one of several sharing an apartment building, but the rooms were well appointed, and comfortable with better materials than normal at a 2-3 star (chinese rating) hotel. 
Now the bad: This hotel was about 400 meters from the closest metro station, and you need to walk up and down a foot bridge with about 100 steps on each side of the road, dragging your luggage....and the hotel  faces a super noisy, busy road, that never had a break in the traffic 24 hours a day. Behind the hotel is a major construction project that also doesnt stop day and night.
The room was nice and new, and bathroom was above average for this level hotel....but due to the noise and inconsiderate people in the halls and slamming doors (no soft close doors makes no sense in any hotel!) 
needless to say, I got no sleep  whatsoever and went to my flight exhausted and caught a cold

The check-in process at the front desk was very quick, and the room was clean. The surrounding area is also incredibly convenient; right across the street is Daqianli, a large shopping complex offering a wide array of dining and shopping options. There's also a spacious plaza nearby. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay.

We have spent a five days trip with family members for Chinese New Year holiday. It is really a magnificent hotel with excellent location and with very high standard of cleaness. This is seldomly found in this rank of the hotel. The breakfast is tasty with all my favorite stuff. One of the facilities I loved it very much is their self laundry service which gives me a great help on washing as well as drying all daily dressed clothes at the same day. Thus, I can bring much less clothes for the trip with worry free. The room style is iconic and cozy to stay with all daily necessities needed. More importantly, the washroom has a high degree of pravicy. This will be very suitable for family members to stay in the same room. Also, the entire hotel is maintained in a brandnew condition as I have stayed few years ago. Lastly, there are numerous restaurants proximity to the hotel, so, we can grab food to eat very easily.
