Excellent! This was my first time booking and staying at a Marriott hotel on my own. The front desk was very friendly and upgraded me to an Executive Suite, which I've heard is difficult to get upgraded to. The suite was huge and very comfortable, and the service was impeccable.

Just remember not to wear your hotel slippers to breakfast!

From the bathroom/room, you could see the 'Three-piece set' (referring to the iconic Shanghai skyscrapers) and one of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower's spheres. It's a shame it got foggy at night and I couldn't see them anymore – the 'Three-piece set' was cut off at the waist, and the Oriental Pearl vanished.

The hotel breakfast was quite good, with everything you'd expect. I didn't see any xiaolongbao (I was hoping to try some as an out-of-towner), but the pastries and desserts were very well made, similar to many brunch places (at least comparable to what you'd find in Melbourne).

Unfortunately, this was just a one-night stay before catching a flight. I chose this hotel after looking at location, newness/renovation, and service atmosphere, and it completely exceeded my expectations. I wonder if I'll be so lucky when I return to Shanghai in a few days. I'm definitely planning to stay here again!

The hotel's location is superb, truly one of Shanghai's landmark buildings – prominent and unique. Transportation here is incredibly convenient. I don't even need to elaborate on how upscale and luxurious the hotel is. The service is excellent! Another reason I simply have to recommend it is that directly across the pedestrian walkway from the hotel entrance is the famous, beautiful, and highly worthwhile Shanghai History Museum! It turns out the grand staircases found in modern architectural marvels like libraries and art museums today originated at the Shanghai History Museum.

Extremely satisfied with this trip! We had a wonderful Dragon Boat Festival!

Facilities: The hotel has been open for five or six years but is very well maintained, large and modern. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a good layout. The pool, gym, and other facilities are excellent. Both the Chinese restaurant and the breakfast/dinner buffets were delicious. My only disappointment was that I'd bought a group deal for the Lobby Lounge's chestnut cake, but it wasn't available at all during the Dragon Boat Festival, and this wasn't stated on the review site.

Cleanliness: Very good, spotless.

Environment: It's centrally located in Shanghai Fish, within walking distance of the museum, and the lake views are lovely. It's not far in a straight line from Jiukeshu Bubble Park, but walking there would be too far. There's no direct water access, so you'd have to take a taxi roundabout route, which we didn't do because of the rain. We took a 20-minute taxi ride to Qingxi Old Street, which was fun. It wasn't crowded or overly commercialized, making it very pleasant to explore.

Service: Impeccable. A doorman helped with luggage upon arrival, the front desk was efficient, and staff even escorted us to our room after check-in. Housekeeping was incredibly responsive, and service at the various restaurants was also excellent. Turndown service even included a Dragon Boat Festival sachet.

A couple of issues:
① After rain, the toilet had a foul smell that permeated the entire bathroom. The drainage system definitely needs maintenance.
② One morning, I smelled cigarette smoke in the shower! I initially thought something was burning, but then realized it was cigarette smoke, likely from next door, coming through the drain. It lasted for fifteen minutes and completely shocked me – I can't believe someone would be so inconsiderate.

Everything else was great, and I'd definitely consider returning.

My overall experience at JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen Bao'an was excellent, and I'd especially like to thank Guest Service Specialist Reina. The check-in process was efficient and smooth. Reina was professional and meticulous, proactively understanding my business travel needs. She thoughtfully arranged a quiet, high-floor room for me and patiently explained the hotel's office amenities, internet usage, and local business travel information. The room was clean and elegant, with complete office facilities, comfortable bedding, and good soundproofing, allowing for a restful night after a busy day. During my stay, I contacted Reina for some last-minute needs, and she responded quickly and handled everything appropriately, communicating with a warm and polite demeanor. Her service throughout truly showcased Marriott's professional standards. The hotel's location is excellent, making travel convenient, and the overall environment is grand and comfortable, suitable for both business meetings and short breaks. Reina's attentive and thoughtful service was incredibly heartwarming. I will definitely choose this hotel first for my next business trip.

A special shout-out to our housekeeper, Cassie, whose professionalism was outstanding! She proactively reached out regarding our check-in, providing clear instructions and guiding us through the process upon arrival. Any last-minute requests were handled promptly and efficiently. She was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and her service was meticulous. With Cassie taking care of everything, we didn't have to worry about a thing during our vacation. The experience was excellent, highly recommended!

I originally booked an executive suite with a sea view on another platform, but forgot to make a reservation... By the afternoon, there were no sea view rooms left, so I temporarily chose a mountain view, which was also great. The room was spacious, and my family was very satisfied. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly helpful, arranging two rooms for us even though the sea view rooms weren't available. I'm very grateful for their assistance. My child loved the kids' room key card. In the evening, they delivered fruit and even brought a stroller for my child. Staying at the Marriott with a child was a very thoughtful experience! The afternoon tea was delicious, but the wait was too long, about two hours. I hope they can improve that.

A really great experience! The hotel's scenery during this vacation was absolutely stunning and a joy to behold. The privacy was excellent, and having a private viewing balcony where I could sit in the afternoon, feel the breeze, and admire the gardens was incredibly relaxing and cured all my fatigue. The estate was lush with greenery, and the air was fresh. The room itself was spacious, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the toiletries were complete. Housekeeper Wanxia provided thoughtful and unobtrusive service, which truly enhanced the slow-paced vacation vibe. Definitely worth a visit!
