Thank you for for good service, I am putting 5 stars for that. But in comments adding a few things that would be great to add:
1) Temperature in the elevators and hall is freezing. As a girl coming from outside summer hot weather in the dress with a kid , it’s really uncomfortable . I was shivering all the way till I got my keys for 20 minutes of all the journey to 38floor for check in and further
2) please buy proper hair dryer, current one is super old and cheap. It’s 3 star cheap Chinese hotel experience. Proper professional hairdryer costs n china 120-190 rmb, but would improve experience of guest with long hair A LOT.
3) thank you for Modern and good coffee machine, please add zero calories sweeteners in the room (equal or similar). You have it at the breakfast, but we can’t run to breakfast in Panama as we wake up and have cup of coffee.

The hotel is right by the Huangpu River. While there aren't any large shopping malls nearby, it's a quick taxi ride to Lujiazui. The room facilities look quite new, and the swimming pool is huge – there weren't many people when I went, so I could swim freely.

The executive lounge breakfast was also very good, and the service was excellent. Special thanks to Yoyo at the hotel switchboard for helping coordinate my room arrangements. The concierge service was also good. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again for my next business trip to Shanghai.

👍🏻The service at Marriott is top-notch, no complaints. The front desk staff and bellhops were incredibly thoughtful and efficient with our check-in. The wake-up call service in the evening was also very prompt.
🌃The room had excellent soundproofing and blackout curtains, making it incredibly quiet and comfortable at night, ensuring a peaceful sleep.
🏨The room was also very spacious and the facilities were all new. If we needed anything, a call to the front desk was usually answered on the first ring, and service response was very timely.
🍸I highly recommend the 'Lobby Lounge'. We ordered one non-alcoholic drink and two cocktails, and they were all delicious. I particularly recommend the 'Green Code'. The snack platter with chicken wings and fries was also excellent; both the ingredients and seasoning were top-tier. Especially, the service staff at the Lobby Lounge were very attentive and thoughtful ❤️ Highly recommend! 🤩
🏊🏻♂️The pool was empty around 7-8 AM, so we had it all to ourselves.

💌Small suggestions (hoping you can do even better):
1️⃣It would be great to have a hand soap dispenser in the room. Although there was facial soap, I still prefer a separate hand soap. Additionally, currently there's only a tissue box in the bathroom. It would be convenient to have one by the bedside or on the small dining table.
2️⃣The breakfast was very rich and plentiful, but there were a few minor details. For example: ① The serving spoons for porridge, especially the large spoon for plain congee. Because the plain congee was quite thick, a lot would stick to the spoon, which made us hesitant to use it later. Perhaps more frequent replacement and cleaning could be arranged. ② Also, the watermelon might have been sitting out for too long; the pieces in the dish were not very fresh anymore. They were dark red and even tasted a bit bitter. Instead of cutting them into large chunks, maybe cutting them into smaller slices and arranging them to prevent stacking and squeezing, or putting out smaller batches more frequently, could help maintain freshness.
3️⃣When driving, the navigation automatically directed us to the cargo underground garage. We also took a wrong turn and only then realized that the guest parking garage was further ahead. It would be helpful to have clearer signage here, indicating that the guest parking is ahead.

Overall, this was a perfect weekend getaway experience, and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

Choosing the JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen for business meetings is always a reliable choice. The hotel has a sophisticated ambiance, and the lobby is perfect for quick meetings. Its convenient location makes it easy to host friends. The front desk staff are quick and professional with check-ins. The rooms are quiet and spacious, with excellent office facilities, meticulously cleaned, and well-maintained. The breakfast offers a wide variety, allowing for a relaxed meal. Xana provides professional and appropriate service, with prompt responses and thorough, detailed attention that balances efficiency with warmth. The hotel is well-managed overall, with every employee demonstrating a strong service ethic and clean, tidy public areas. The entire stay is dignified and comfortable. Whether for personal use or hosting guests, it's an ideal choice, and I highly recommend it.

The front desk staff lacked enthusiasm throughout my stay, leading to a significant drop in my experience.

For this stay at JW Marriott Shenzhen Bao'an, let me start with the positives: The executive room itself was excellent, with relatively new facilities. The pool was also very new, the water quality was good, and there were very few people. The executive lounge staff provided attentive and thoughtful service, making the entire experience there very pleasant, and it was the highlight of this stay. However, multiple interactions with the front desk from check-in to check-out, coupled with an unexpected issue in the room, significantly reduced my overall satisfaction.

During my shower, the showerhead suddenly fell off, making it impossible to bathe properly. After reporting it, a technician came to fix it, which took nearly half an hour. For a double occupancy room, only one toothbrush set was provided, requiring me to contact the front desk for additional amenities. During my stay, I also inquired with the front desk about various things, including the executive lounge's operating hours and breakfast arrangements. Throughout these inquiries and the handling of the room issue, I was assisted by the evening front desk staff. Their attitude was cold, slightly impatient, and their communication was unclear, leaving me bewildered. I understand that working the night shift can be tough, but such service attitude is simply unacceptable. They consistently failed to consider things from the guest's perspective, lacked service enthusiasm and a personal touch, and did not proactively offer solutions. Furthermore, packages were haphazardly piled up in the front desk area, making the environment messy and completely inconsistent with the standard of a high-end JW Marriott hotel.

The executive room's hardware and the lounge service are commendable. However, the evening front desk staff's lack of service awareness and the messy front desk area, compounded by oversight in room inspection, severely impacted my overall experience. I hope the hotel strengthens service training for front desk staff, particularly focusing on the quality of service during night shifts, emphasizes room inspections, and improves environmental management in the front desk area.

This hotel was originally just a one-night stopover, but the overall facilities, lounge, and room type turned out to be a pleasant surprise. In China, you probably won't find a JW Marriott at this price again.

The hotel is located on a rocky beach in Dadonghai, without sand, but offering a different experience: mudflats foraging and swimming in the sea (there's a recessed, shallow area on the rocky beach in front of the hotel that's safer at low tide). The overall sea view isn't bad at all; one side offers a view of the curved Dadonghai beach, while the other faces the lighthouse.

The hotel facilities are quite comprehensive, with a long family pool and a shallow children's pool. Armbands and full-body swimming life jackets are provided free of charge, and there are even cylindrical holders for shoes. There are numerous lifeguards, strategically placed so that every blind spot of one lifeguard is covered by another. This is completely different from the setup at other five-star hotels in Sanya, and the pool closes at 10 PM, which received unanimous praise from my family. The outdoor open-air children's playground is similar; for younger children, the playground staff will even follow behind to supervise, truly demonstrating JW's high standards.

We booked an executive sea-view room in the East Wing, a room type that directly faces the sunrise over Rabbit Tail Ridge. Plus, it has a huge balcony, instantly eliminating any feeling of a small room.

Since we only stayed for one day, we couldn't experience many of the dining options. However, seeing the hotel selling egg pancakes for 15 RMB and refreshing Qingshubiang for 20 RMB, I immediately felt that the prices were accessible to the general public. The executive lounge's food could only be described as average Marriott quality (I suspect this might be due to the hotel's price point), but it's one of the few resort hotels that even has an executive lounge. The breakfast experience was excellent, with stewed soups, JW noodles, numerous egg preparations, fermented grain vinegar, sour noodles, Hou'an noodles, and various fresh juices. Among the three hotels we stayed at in Sanya, this was the lowest-priced hotel, yet it had the highest breakfast standards.

The service was excellent overall. Whether it was the lounge attendant helping us with a last-minute room change (and getting us a room with a large balcony), or the front desk staff running out to find the mini-train because my child wanted to ride it when it was almost closing time, or the proactive luggage service and reminders from our butler Una, it all truly met the high standards of a luxury five-star hotel!

Some suggestions:
1. The open space on the large balcony could really benefit from some decorations and lounge chairs; I think it would enhance the resort feel.
2. Stronger signage is needed from the East Wing to the West Wing breakfast area. It's quite hard to find since you have to take an elevator.

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Aside from the lack of a sandy beach, this is a high-standard, high-value-for-money resort hotel!

Having stayed at many JW Marriotts before, I often found them to have a formulaic design and service that left little lasting impression. However, the JW Marriott Haitang Bay completely shattered that stereotype. Check-in was conducted privately in a separate room, and the hotel offers butler service. There's also a nightly ritual held at the hotel.

The hotel's architecture and landscaping are in the style of a Spanish hacienda, making it highly distinctive among the many hotels in Sanya. The villas have been renovated and show no signs of age, equipped with Dyson hair dryers, electric curtains, smart toilets, and Bose sound systems – everything you could wish for. Breakfast is semi-buffet style with an à la carte menu; both the taste and presentation are excellent.

Our butler, Peppermint (Mint) Harry 🍬, was incredibly proactive, enthusiastic, and attentive, providing a much better and more comprehensive service than many butlers at other Sanya hotels. Overall, the stay far exceeded my expectations and is comparable to the St. Regis and Ritz-Carlton within the same group.
