As a frequent business traveler, this was my first time in Shanghai, and I only started planning my trip after arriving at Shanghai South Railway Station. Staying near People's Park Station is the best location for sightseeing. This hotel, located at that subway station, offers the best value for money.

**Restaurant:** The hotel's strength might be its restaurant (not necessarily the taste, but the overall service atmosphere). I had breakfast there, and everyone was quite professional, giving it a Hong Kong-style restaurant vibe.

**Facilities:** It's a century-old hotel, and the facilities are still quite good. It used to be a restaurant, so they're quite adept at hospitality management. The shower brand chosen for the facilities is excellent and very comfortable. The hotel's water quality must be good too, as I didn't experience any discomfort when brushing my teeth. The paper products on the vanity were good, and the slippers felt like those in a five-star hotel. However, adding a logo would definitely enhance the brand image.

**Hygiene:** The bedsheet in my single room had some dirt on it, which suggests it hadn't been changed.

**Ambiance:** Good. The hotel has a sense of history.

**Service:** Perhaps because Shanghai is an international metropolis, the service awareness is a bit lacking. I checked in at 1 PM, and the hotel entrance requires guests to carry their luggage up stairs to get inside. The greeter didn't help with my luggage or open the door. The front desk staff seemed to be in a bad mood. Although they assigned me a long, narrow room, I'm still grateful to the ill-tempered staff member for giving me a room on the 17th floor, which is the top floor. When I returned to the hotel around 11:30 PM, I saw a card indicating that feather pillows were available, and I wanted to try one. The operator first told me that there were standard pillows in the room. Only after I mentioned seeing the option for feather pillows did she say it could be arranged. To my surprise, they brought me a buckwheat pillow. I was quite speechless, but thanks anyway. Also, the pillow inserts in your rooms have stains on them.

The gentleman who checked me out helped me carry my luggage to the door, so thanks to him.

Also, there was writing from a previous guest in the small notebook by the bed. Personally, I found it a bit unsettling. I suggest checking these notebooks during cleaning.

I also filled out a feedback card; I wonder if you'll receive it.

**Guests staying at the hotel can purchase butterfly pastry gift boxes without queuing:** These butterfly pastries can only be reserved by scanning the QR code in the room and are only available in gift boxes. You can buy them in bags directly downstairs.

We stayed in the Villa Executive Double Room and had a fantastic experience. The room was located on a high floor, and the views from the bedroom were absolutely amazing. For us, the view was what really made the stay so special.

The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, with an exceptionally comfortable bed.

We also really enjoyed the Executive Lounge access included with the room. The staff there were attentive, professional, and provided excellent service throughout our stay.

Breakfast offered a great selection of food, with plenty of options to choose from. The only downside was that it could get quite busy during peak times.

We loved the swimming pool facilities, especially the hot pool and sauna. In fact, we wish we had spent more time there during our stay because it was so relaxing and enjoyable.

The hotel's location is excellent. Situated in the French Concession area near Huaihai Road, it is close to the metro and within walking distance of many of Shanghai's main attractions.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, and we even loved its signature scent. The Art Deco-style lobby is particularly impressive. Overall, the hotel felt very professional and welcoming, and we had a wonderful experience. We would happily stay here again.

Overall, I'm satisfied. I stay here every time I'm back in Shanghai, it's become a habit, and the location is very convenient. However, the hotel's facilities are in need of an update. The overall room temperature couldn't be adjusted down; even though the air from the vent was cool, its effective range was very small, so I'd wake up hot at night. The lobby and elevator temperatures were much more comfortable than the room. 

Also, as shown in the picture, the bathtub stopper was rusty, and the sink stopper didn't drain properly; even normal handwashing would cause water to pool. To make it easier, I'd always remove the stopper completely when using the sink. 

The worst part was the shower drain, which had a very pungent and unpleasant smell every day. 

Some of these are room-specific issues, like the high AC temperature and poor sink drainage, which I hadn't experienced so severely in previous years, including in other rooms I stayed in this July. However, the room I stayed in this week was significantly worse. 

But the pungent smell from the shower drain is a common problem in all rooms!

The room was nice; although small, the overall layout didn't feel cramped, and the view from the window was great. It had many convenient tools not typically found in budget hotels, which was a thoughtful touch. Laundry is paid for, priced according to clothing type. The emergency phone in the bathroom was a very considerate detail, and the toiletries were complete. The shower is in the bathtub; I'd recommend placing a non-slip mat, but don't put the bath mat next to the tub beforehand, as shower water will run down the curtain and soak it. Breakfast was good, with both Western and Chinese options, a good variety, and the staff were very friendly.

My kids always stay at the Jinjiang International Hotel Lingang when they go skiing at Ice and Snow World. The rooms are spacious, the service is warm, it's very clean, and the price is right. It's close to both Ice and Snow World and Dishui Lake. The breakfast has a rich variety and tastes good too. This time it was very popular, and it's an excellent choice for family trips.

The hotel's location is pretty good, close to the subway station and Tianzifang. The hotel environment itself is just average though; the room facilities are quite old-fashioned. It's clean and spacious, but the lighting is a bit dim.

Also, the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so there's banging and noise starting at 7 AM. Plus, food delivery isn't allowed upstairs; you have to go down to the delivery locker to pick it up yourself.

Overall, it's not too bad, an OK stay!

During my stay, I encountered a drainage odor issue in my room. After reporting it to the hotel, the cleaning staff arrived on-site in just five minutes. They quickly investigated the problem and proactively checked other areas to ensure the room environment was comfortable. The hotel's efficiency and professionalism in handling issues were truly impressive, living up to the promise of 'always responsive to requests'.

Stayed at this hotel for a short getaway around May 1st and was very satisfied! The environment is lovely, and there's a big lake park right next door, which is quiet, picturesque, and has incredibly fresh air. The room was spacious, and the king-size bed was very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure and was really refreshing. While the facilities are a bit dated, and there aren't many power outlets, making charging a bit inconvenient, it was thoughtful that we could have breakfast outdoors with our pet. The breakfast selection was also quite rich, and the rice noodles were especially delicious! 😋

The Garden Inn is truly fantastic! Every stay is consistently clean and hygienic, with spacious and bright rooms! The green plants on the windowsill are vibrant and full of life! The bed is just the right firmness, allowing for a comfortable sleep until you naturally wake up.

The hotel's front desk staff provide quiet, gentle, and smiling service throughout, which is very pleasant.

Even the hotel's breakfast offers a wide variety of options, combining both Western and Chinese dishes.

The hotel's surrounding area is incredibly convenient for public transport, with easy access to the subway.

Definitely worth recommending to more people!

My stay at the Shanghai Longbai Hotel exceeded my expectations, a definite five-star review! The front desk staff were incredibly responsive and efficient, and they even proactively upgraded our room, which was a thoughtful and heartwarming touch. The hotel pays great attention to detail – the front desk offers free hot water and complimentary glasses cleaning, which is incredibly convenient for travelers.

Despite being over forty years old, the hotel's rooms are clean and tidy, and the infrastructure is very well-maintained; you'd never guess its age. Our room had a small balcony, and opening the window revealed a lush, tree-lined garden view. The air was fresh, offering a peaceful retreat from the city hustle, and the view was absolutely stunning.

The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and tasted great. Overall, our stay was comfortable and pleasant, providing excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Shanghai!

Pros: Located in Haidian District, it's surrounded by numerous universities and close to attractions like the Summer Palace, Old Summer Palace, and Fragrant Hills. Guests get free access to the gym and swimming pool. The executive suite is spacious and large.
Cons: It's situated between Zhichunlu and Wudaokou subway stations, so it's a bit of a walk. There are no dining options near the hotel itself; you have to go closer to the subway stations to find restaurants.

The location is good and the lobby is impressive. However, the room facilities are a bit dated. The air conditioning panel was broken, and the room door was a bit difficult to close, requiring some force, possibly due to a slight misalignment.

My stay at Beijing Fujian Hotel was an excellent overall experience. The comfort level was top-notch, truly exceeding my expectations. The room was clean and tidy, with well-appointed soft furnishings and hardware. The soundproofing was good, ensuring a high quality of rest. The hotel's location is a major plus, being very close to the Bird's Nest stadium. Taking the subway is incredibly convenient, making it the perfect choice if you're coming specifically for a concert at the Bird's Nest – it saves so much time and hassle. The surrounding area has great amenities, with a wide variety of breakfast spots downstairs and in the neighborhood, including a full range of Chinese breakfast options, easily satisfying daily breakfast needs. I'll definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit to Beijing.

The room is clean with necessities.  A park/garden is in nearby area where you can have a walk and exercise.

The hotel is located in the city center, a 10-minute walk from the Bell Tower. The surrounding area is bustling with businesses, making it convenient to find all sorts of snacks. The hotel offers free underground parking, which is a rare find in this area. The front desk staff were very welcoming and even upgraded my room, which was a lovely touch. Highly recommend! 👍

The hotel was generally very nice and convenient, not far from the highway exit and very close to the Olympic Sports Center (about a ten-minute drive). Even the river-view rooms had great views, and the rooms were quite spacious. The environment was really nice, but it's a prime location. I went on New Year's Eve, and it was incredibly crowded. I wanted to try the breakfast, but unfortunately, I was too late to get up, so I won't comment on that (I think a small open-air balcony would be nice; I highly recommend it). The only drawback was that the facilities had some minor issues. I drove there right after work, already exhausted, and wanted to rest before going out for dinner and entertainment. However, the bedside socket was faulty, and it took about 40-50 minutes to check and repair it. It was really frustrating. This is the bare minimum for a hotel; any room problems should be addressed beforehand. I don't know if the previous guests didn't report it or what, but this kind of basic mistake shouldn't be made. Furthermore, no staff member apologized at all. The only apology was from the repairman who said something like ”sorry to bother you.” No one from the front desk or the housekeeper inquired about our well-being. I just wanted to ask, ”Where is the apology?” My first stay wasn't great. When checking in, I asked if I could have a late check-out. The receptionist, Ms. Zheng, was very kind and let us check out at 2 PM. Considering it was New Year's Day, being able to check out at 2 PM was still a huge relief. The concierge was also very helpful; he even helped me with my luggage, although I only had two backpacks, and explained how to use the lighting controls.

In short, the price wasn't really good value for money. Without the receptionist and concierge, I would have given this hotel a bad review. It's unbelievable that such a large hotel isn't as good value as hotels costing 200-300 yuan these days; it's ridiculous.
