I had a staycation at the International Hotel, and I wasn't expecting much from the room's hardware, but I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and excellent my experience was! For just over 800 yuan a night for a twin room with double breakfast, in this location, you really can't complain. Honestly, it's a much better experience than places like Ji Hotel or Atour.

**Facilities:** Overall, it's quite old, but everything is very well-maintained. The only downsides are that you have to let the hot water run for a long time to get it really hot, and the hairdryer is quite old; it would be better if it were replaced. Our room had a smart toilet, which was very convenient. I especially have to praise the bed – it's incredibly comfortable.

**Hygiene:** The cleaning was very good, and all the surfaces were spotless.

**Environment:** The hallway gave me a bit of a 'Shining' vibe, haha... but the lobby and other areas are magnificent and very 'old money'! It definitely lives up to its reputation as the former tallest building in the Far East.

**Service:** This was the only weak point. I mainly felt that the front desk staff's attitude could use some improvement. Room service for deliveries was very, very quick, which was a plus.

Overall, I would still choose to stay here for future getaways, dreaming of an upgrade to a suite, haha... I really love the hotel's ambiance, and the room genuinely gets more comfortable the longer you stay.

We stayed on the 12th floor, in a room close to the elevator. The room was spotless and the bedding smelled fresh and clean, not damp at all. The housekeeping lady on our floor was incredibly kind; every time she saw me, she'd ask if I needed water or tissues and told me not to hesitate to ask for anything. She was so thoughtful and efficient.

My younger son and I shared a room, and one evening he accidentally locked himself out of the bathroom. The front desk immediately sent a technician up to open the door. The technician even showed me how he unlocked it with his tools! 🤭🤭

My last visit to Shanghai was at the end of September last year, when I stayed at the Old Jinjiang. This time, I decided to try the New Jinjiang. Overall, they're quite similar. Both are classic, well-established hotels that I'd recommend trying!

Nestled within a secret garden spanning thousands of acres, this century-old French architectural gem offers a tranquil escape from the city's hustle and bustle, exuding a full vintage and elegant ambiance. Located on South Maoming Road, it's a magnificent transformation of the historic French Club building. The seamless blend of French vintage architecture and modern design, complemented by over 20,000 square meters of private gardens, provides a serene sanctuary amidst the urban landscape. Its prime location next to Huaihai Road and the plane tree-lined streets, along with its charming retro corridors and spiral staircases, create an immersive atmosphere. The meticulous and attentive service from this established five-star hotel makes it the ideal retreat for experiencing the elegant charm of old Shanghai.

My company is nearby, so I’ve stayed here several times when I needed to work late or arrive early. I've watched this place evolve from slow internet and no robot delivery to fast internet, robot service, and even bellboys helping with luggage.

I’ve tried most of their room types. If you’re on a budget, a standard single room is fine for one person. If you have a bit more to spend, consider the deluxe king room. They even have a package for a king room for just over 700 for two nights, but you have to book it immediately without hesitation. The front desk told me this room type is very popular and sells out quickly.

Jianguo is a well-established brand, and I believe it was one of the first hotels to cater to international guests. So, the rooms are well-equipped with all the basic amenities, though I'd suggest they add body lotion. After midnight, the rooms are incredibly quiet; you won't hear AC or shower noises, and the hallways are peaceful. This is crucial for light sleepers. If you need anything, just call the front desk, and they’ll have housekeeping bring it up. You can also directly tell housekeeping how you’d like your room cleaned.

Overall, it's pretty good. It’s in a prime downtown location, making dining, shopping, and transportation very convenient. I’ve been very satisfied with my stays. My only regret is that despite staying so many times, I’ve never tried their breakfast. I'll definitely come back to stay again, and I'll make sure to try it then.

This was my second stay here. I'd forgotten to book two consecutive nights previously, so when I arrived at the front desk, I asked for help. The lady at the front desk was very kind and arranged for me to stay two nights, even upgrading me to an apartment suite. The 110-square-meter room had a huge living room and an open kitchen with a fridge and a steam oven. It was very clean, and the service was enthusiastic. The hotel has a swimming pool, perfect for kids, and a small children's play area, which was enough to keep a boy busy with puzzles. You can see fireworks from the 22nd-floor meeting room, but if you want a really good view, I'd suggest finding another spot. The hotel is very close to Yaoxue and Haichang, and food delivery platforms are also very convenient, making it a great choice for family trips ❤️

The only downsides were that the room lighting was quite dim and food delivery wasn't allowed upstairs. Everything else was pretty good.

Great location with a subway station right next door, very convenient for getting things done in the area. I'll choose this place again next time.

The CITIC Pacific Zhujiajiao Jinjiang Hotel shines like a pearl nestled in the water town. Surrounded by a network of waterways and ancient bridges, the hotel boasts lush greenery and elegant courtyards. It seamlessly blends the charm of Jiangnan with modern comfort, exuding understated luxury, making it an excellent choice for a relaxing getaway.

However, some of the staff lacked warmth and proactivity in their service. There's room for improvement in both their service awareness and professionalism, and I hope these areas can be addressed.

Although this 1980s-built hotel hasn't undergone major renovations, the value for money offered by this package is truly outstanding. We checked into a south-facing, fourth-floor room with a balcony and a view. While the facilities had a nostalgic charm from a bygone era, everything was fully functional. Sitting on the balcony in the afternoon, basking in the warm sun, with a vast lawn before me and the crisp chirping of birds in my ears, was incredibly relaxing.

The package included three zoo tickets (40 RMB each), and the hotel is just a 10-minute walk away. Even in winter, it was delightful to observe the various animals.

Dinner was served at the Jasmine Hall. We had three portions of abalone, sea cucumber, and mushroom thick soup, three pieces of beef, three sauced shrimp, and three steamed siumai, along with stir-fried Shanghai greens and a steamed perch weighing about a pound. Paired with rice, all the dishes were delicious and made with fresh ingredients.

Breakfast offered both Western and Chinese options and was decent overall, with the Western pastries being particularly good and worth trying.

The hotel grounds boast several ancient trees, some over a hundred years old. Villas 2 and 3, century-old Western-style buildings, were hidden among the trees, only viewable from a distance. More disappointingly, the nearby Sassoon Villa is now closed to the public as the owner has reclaimed the property, so we couldn't see it.

Overall, the hotel service was satisfactory. The front desk, cleaning staff, restaurant staff, and gatekeepers were all very enthusiastic. When we called to request bottled water, it was delivered very quickly.

All in all, for 570 RMB (one night), what we received was definitely great value for money.

Absolutely loved this hotel! The front desk staff provided top-notch service, always going the extra mile for guests. The breakfast spread was fantastic, and the hotel's laundry service was incredibly convenient and quick. The housekeeping staff were diligent, responsible, and very polite. Special shoutout to the housekeeper who cleaned room 1505; she kept our room spotless every day. I really hope the management recognizes her excellent work with a bonus. My sincere thanks! 🙏

Hotel is located close to Wang Fu Jing street. It's a very big and grand hotel, but you can tell it's a bit old. There was a leak under our sink and there's a puddle of water in the bathroom constantly. The shower door won't close properly so water gets out everywhere. We had 2 beds in the room, one of the bed was hard as rock. At night, hallways aren't well lit for gym. Good service, staff brought extra towels when they realized we had 2 kids and were very friendly.

I always choose this place when I go on business trips. This one is very convenient in Yizhuang Hotel. The breakfast is also quite rich. There is also a KTV downstairs. After a day of meetings, you can go downstairs to relax. Parking is also very convenient.

Better than I expected for the price. The bed and room were quite comfortable. The room was larger than I expected. The hotel breakfast was adequate. Not particularly good, and too much lukewarm, overcooked fried Chinese food, but not as bad as some other hotels. Slightly above average for a Chinese hotel breakfast. Staff had essentially no English language knowledge, which is a little disappointing for this class of hotel in Beijing, but they were happy to work with translators. I would stay here again.

The Jinjiang Hotel brand truly lives up to its reputation; the entire hotel is well-equipped with excellent facilities. All amenities in the room are top-notch, from the quality toilet paper and slippers to the ample supply of premium bottled water. The breakfast spread is incredibly rich, offering a great mix of Chinese, Western, and local dishes, all prepared with great attention to detail. The staff are attentive and professional in all aspects, tracking everything efficiently and providing warm, courteous service. This hotel is definitely worth staying at again and recommending.

The hotel was generally very nice and convenient, not far from the highway exit and very close to the Olympic Sports Center (about a ten-minute drive). Even the river-view rooms had great views, and the rooms were quite spacious. The environment was really nice, but it's a prime location. I went on New Year's Eve, and it was incredibly crowded. I wanted to try the breakfast, but unfortunately, I was too late to get up, so I won't comment on that (I think a small open-air balcony would be nice; I highly recommend it). The only drawback was that the facilities had some minor issues. I drove there right after work, already exhausted, and wanted to rest before going out for dinner and entertainment. However, the bedside socket was faulty, and it took about 40-50 minutes to check and repair it. It was really frustrating. This is the bare minimum for a hotel; any room problems should be addressed beforehand. I don't know if the previous guests didn't report it or what, but this kind of basic mistake shouldn't be made. Furthermore, no staff member apologized at all. The only apology was from the repairman who said something like ”sorry to bother you.” No one from the front desk or the housekeeper inquired about our well-being. I just wanted to ask, ”Where is the apology?” My first stay wasn't great. When checking in, I asked if I could have a late check-out. The receptionist, Ms. Zheng, was very kind and let us check out at 2 PM. Considering it was New Year's Day, being able to check out at 2 PM was still a huge relief. The concierge was also very helpful; he even helped me with my luggage, although I only had two backpacks, and explained how to use the lighting controls.

In short, the price wasn't really good value for money. Without the receptionist and concierge, I would have given this hotel a bad review. It's unbelievable that such a large hotel isn't as good value as hotels costing 200-300 yuan these days; it's ridiculous.
