The hotel's location near the subway station was convenient for getting around. We were traveling with two kids and needed larger twin beds; finding a hotel in Beijing with 1.35-meter twin beds that's also close to the subway is quite challenging, so we were pleased with this. The hotel facilities were dated. Even the power outlets were old, though they worked. However, having a mini-fridge was a great bonus. The room felt damp. The bathroom was very small and had a bathtub. Showering caused water to splash everywhere, and the shower curtain was useless. To make matters worse, there was no drain in the 'dry' area around the toilet outside the tub, leading to puddles. The sound insulation was really poor, disturbing our sleep. We only stayed one night to visit Tiananmen Square, so please take my comments as general feedback.

My mom is from old Beijing, and this time when I brought her to Tongren Hospital for an eye check-up, she specifically asked to stay at the Chongwenmen Hotel. We initially booked a twin room, but the front desk kindly upgraded us to a family room free of charge. While the hotel facilities show their age a bit, the service attitude was truly excellent, much better than some reviews suggested. The staff on duty in the lobby, the luggage storage attendant, the young man who fixed the air conditioning, and the young ladies and gentlemen at the front desk all provided wonderful service. There was also a slightly plump, white-haired male manager who was particularly diligent and responsible. My elderly mother was very satisfied, saying she felt more at ease staying at an older, familiar place. We've already booked a room for her follow-up appointment next month. The room was also clean and everything was great. I highly recommend it to everyone.

My stay at the Dongfang Hotel exceeded expectations. Not only is the location superb, nestled in the historic Xiangchang Road area of Dongcheng District, but the front desk service was incredibly responsive to all our requests, making us feel right at home. As a high-end hotel in what was a bustling commercial district during the Ming Dynasty, it also boasts a rich history, having hosted many revolutionary pioneers during the Northern Expedition. Another highlight was the delicious buffet breakfast; my grandparents absolutely raved about it, and it offered great value for money. We didn't get a chance to try the hotel's restaurant this time, but we'll save that for a future visit.

The room was quite spacious, and although the facilities were a bit older, they were very complete. It had a mini-fridge, a safe, and even an ironing board. The location is excellent, situated in the southeast corner of the Beijing Exhibition Center compound, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. The Volga Restaurant is right outside to the right, and stepping out to the left brings you to the Beijing Exhibition Theatre. To the south, there's a small lake. The hotel staff even upgraded my room type, which was a very thoughtful gesture.

The hotel boasts a superb location. It's literally right outside Exit C of Subway Line 2, and just a short stroll from Exit G of Line 4, making it incredibly convenient for exploring popular attractions. There's a KFC and Taco Bell right downstairs, and a McDonald's in the adjacent mall.

Traveling as a family of three, we booked a suite for extra comfort, though it felt a little compact initially. We were later upgraded to a more premium suite, which offered significantly more space and comfort, including a large bathtub that our child absolutely loved for bath time. While the hotel itself is a bit older and some facilities show their age, it's clear they put a lot of care into maintenance, and the staff were exceptionally warm and friendly.

Breakfast was decent and satisfying. We also had dinner from their à la carte menu one evening; it was a bit pricey but the food was quite good. In the evenings, there were performances in the lobby. The self-service laundry room with washing and drying machines was a great convenience.

I came to climb the mountain on the weekend and was too lazy to get up early to stay and rest. I wanted a room with a bathtub, but the ordinary king-size bed room didn't have it, so I discussed upgrading the room. I especially want to praise the two front desk staff, two gentlemen, who were very enthusiastic and took me to visit two king-size bed suites in a row. Finally, I upgraded the room type by paying the difference at the front desk.
Each room in the king-size bed suite has a small narrow balcony, and birds often land on it, which is very comfortable. It rained heavily that day, and the beautiful scenery outside the window could not be taken in the room.

Two people in the courtyard boil tea around the stove: The outdoor environment is very good, and there are geese, mallards and mandarin ducks to feed.

First time in Beijing, during the Spring Festival, it was too difficult to book, I booked 10 days in advance. It took a long time to choose when booking. The hotel is close to the subway, has windows, twin rooms, large area, very good, equipped with air purifiers, refrigerators, everything, and the service is also very enthusiastic. The decoration is a bit old-fashioned, and the towels and bathrobes are hard, but overall it's not bad. The surrounding shops are closed during the Spring Festival, and it's hard to find a place to eat, but there is a small supermarket that can solve the problem.

The hotel environment is comfortable, the family room is cute and clean. The room has a cinema screen and includes iQiyi membership. My dad watched the Premier League live broadcast on the night we checked in.
The hotel service is good and check-in is quick. Since there were three of us adults, we called customer service to ask for an extra bath towel, which was delivered quickly. The Internet suddenly went offline while watching football in the evening. The hotel staff immediately helped us change rooms and even gave us snacks to apologize.
There is a coffee shop and a Chaoshan beef hot pot restaurant downstairs, so you don’t have to go far for dinner. It's easy to take a taxi and go to the high-speed rail station or Yuhou Street.
However, the breakfast arrangement needs to be improved. The restaurant is relatively small. There was a tour group on the first morning. I guess they left at 8 o'clock, so they occupied the entire restaurant at 7 o'clock. We had a hard time finding a seat (the table in the lobby was not open), and Food and drinks were not added in time, making it difficult to eat. When my mother was waiting for noodles, she was stood in line by someone. The person even yelled at her, saying she didn't stand in line because she was getting eggs. The quality of these elderly tour groups is very poor. The next day we went downstairs for breakfast after 8 o'clock to avoid this group of people and enjoy breakfast slowly. It is recommended that if the hotel receives a tour group, it first reminds the guests to have breakfast at a staggered time with the tour group or to provide additional seats.

The location is good, close to the beach, parking is very convenient, Qinhuang Alley is downstairs, and you can eat and do cultural creation in one stop.
The room size is OK, but the door is a bit shaky and the sound insulation is average. The quality of domestic tourists is really speechless. They have to shout in the corridor before going out in the morning and evening...
The breakfast is generally satisfactory, and there is room for improvement
