The biggest highlight of the Xinqiao Hotel is its extremely convenient location – directly opposite Chongwenmen Subway Station (where Lines 2 and 5 intersect). It's incredibly easy to get to Wangfujing, Tiananmen Square, and Beijing Railway Station by subway or bus. Plus, there are malls like New World nearby.

However, the facilities are indeed quite dated. After all, it's an old hotel that opened in 1954, and some rooms have dim lighting. Some room types are windowless, which can feel a bit stuffy if you haven't confirmed beforehand. I personally recommend getting a room with a window.

In summary, if location and transportation convenience are your top priorities and you're fine with the older style of an established hotel, this is a hassle-free choice!

The hotel's front desk service was incredibly attentive, without feeling at all perfunctory. Check-in was quick upon arrival, and they proactively informed me about all the hotel's amenities. The staff had excellent professionalism, being friendly without being overly intrusive. The check-out process was simple and efficient. When I accidentally left a small item behind, they called me immediately and even helped mail it to me. Their handling of the situation was thorough and thoughtful, showing great care in the details. My entire stay was particularly comfortable. They could even help receive express deliveries for luggage and deliver them to the room, which saved a lot of hassle and time and effort. I had a very pleasant stay and will definitely come back in the future.

I brought my mom to Beijing for a trip, and we chose the Beijing International Hotel primarily because it's an older hotel that's been renovated. I wanted to experience the convenience of smart voice control, and also because its location isn't far from major attractions. It's easy to get a taxi, and the Beijing Railway Station subway stop is just a five-minute walk away.

The service was absolutely top-notch. From the moment we got out of the car at the main entrance, with the staff opening the door and helping with luggage, to the front desk communication, and even how they handled an issue with room service – everything was impeccable. The only thing that could have been better is if, during check-in, the front desk could remind guests about breakfast location (I had to ask separately for this) and any complimentary activities, such as the in-room mini-bar or craft beer redemption. After all, some people book their rooms quite early and might forget what perks are included. 😂

Regarding the facilities, the smart control system is very convenient. However, I kept calling 'Xiao Du' for a long time without a response, only to find out later that in my room, I needed to call 'Xiao Yi Butler.' 😂 Perhaps they could mention this during check-in, or place a small card in the room explaining the wake-up commands and functions, to save guests time figuring things out.

In terms of cleanliness, since it's newly renovated, there weren't any major issues; it was clean and bright! Just a minor note about some dust on the headboard and stickiness on the 'Do Not Disturb' hanger.

Overall, I'm very satisfied and would recommend it to my friends. 👍

This was my first stay at this hotel. I was traveling with friends and our kids, and we picked this place because it's close to Beijing Railway Station and a subway stop, plus it offers great value for money. The location is absolutely fantastic – just a few minutes' walk to attractions and the subway! The room was clean and spacious, perfect for us with the kids, and the bedding was soft. The bathroom was spotless and odor-free. The view from the window was also beautiful. The staff proactively shared local travel tips, which was really thoughtful and helpful. The Jianguo Hotel truly lives up to its reputation as a long-standing establishment. The service is consistently good, making for a very comfortable stay. The location is convenient, and the environment is pleasant. The lobby is a nice place to relax, and the restaurant is elegant with delicious food. There's even a charming little bridge and stream feature inside. Plus, parking outside is easy. Whenever I'm in Beijing for business, Jianguo Hotel is always my first choice!

I stayed at this hotel for three days last week for a business trip to Inner Mongolia. I'm back today and plan to stay for another week, as I prefer familiar places and don't like switching hotels. I booked a king room, but since there was no showerhead (I have a wound and can't use a shower), I asked the front desk to switch rooms. Instead of an upgrade, they downgraded me to a twin room. I even told them that I saw plenty of rooms available online, so why couldn't they upgrade me? I will never choose this hotel again. As for the dining, I thought it was good, and the restaurant staff were nice. However, the room's cleanliness wasn't great; the bath towel and floor mat were placed together, and the room wasn't cleaned thoroughly. The swimming pool was pretty good, though.

After booking, the front office manager proactively called to coordinate my itinerary. Upon arrival, they personally handled my check-in. The staff were incredibly thoughtful and attentive, and they were especially kind and caring towards the children in our group. During my trip, I encountered a few frustrating incidents, and after I casually mentioned them, the staff immediately helped coordinate solutions. I was genuinely touched by the hotel's warm and caring service, which is why I made a special trip to write this review.

Although the hotel is a bit of a distance from Universal Studios, it's very close to the subway station, making transportation incredibly convenient. After exiting the subway station, just turn around and you'll see the hotel. My daughter even exclaimed, ”Mommy, this hotel 🏨 is just amazing!” Compared to hotels around Universal, this one offers excellent value for money at a more affordable price.

The room's amenities are new and complete, and every corner of the room was spotless, making for an extremely comfortable stay.

I stayed in a family room, and the atmosphere was fantastic! My daughter was super happy! Choosing this hotel for our trip was truly a reliable decision; it will definitely be my top choice again for future visits! I even managed to capture some stunning sunset 🌇 photos from the room! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

The room hygiene and environment are excellent, and there's even an air purifier and 24-hour central air conditioning. Housekeeping cleans and refreshes the room daily. It's incredibly quiet at night, perfect for sleeping! From the hotel, you can see the National Centre for the Performing Arts, the National Museum of China, and the Great Hall of the People in the distance. Getting to the North Gate of the Temple of Heaven takes only about 15 minutes by bike, just head straight east. It's super convenient to get around, nothing is too far! The front desk staff are also very helpful! If you need a room, I recommend booking in advance. Honestly, it's a much better option than those typical business hotels!

The location is decent. The male manager and staff at the front desk, and Xiao Dong from concierge, were all very friendly; I felt their warmth during my extended stay. However, a certain female manager at the front desk severely lacked service awareness. Her attitude was very robotic, like she was just going through the motions, and she lacked hospitality. Seeing her made me not even want to stay at the hotel. The female manager on duty on May 1st was particularly rigid with breakfast management, which made for a poor experience. The hotel uses a central air conditioning system, so the temperature cannot be adjusted individually, limiting comfort. Given the intense competition in the hotel industry today, I hope management takes seriously the need to adjust service attitudes and improve quality with customer experience at its core. Overall, I'd give it half a star (specifically for that female manager who lacked service awareness).

Although it's an old house from 1950, it's been maintained remarkably well, and the complete lack of any unpleasant odors is a big plus! However, as an old building, there's no elevator, which can be inconvenient for those with a lot of luggage. Make sure to arrange beforehand for someone to wait downstairs and help you with your bags. Also, a big thank you to Sister Jia Shulan for the complimentary water! I'll definitely visit again if I get the chance. Thanks!

The room was average, the service was average, nothing but smiling service. Such a big hotel is located inside the stadium, obviously there will be many large-scale activities inside, traffic control makes it impossible for vehicles to drive to the hotel entrance, so it takes a long time to walk. I came a long way to watch the concert, if I don't mind walking, I would book a place farther away, I booked here just to walk less, this is a bad review. Secondly, I planned to use the shower head in the bathtub to wash the bathtub, as soon as I turned on the shower head, it started to splash all over me, the shower head in the shower room fell directly, and the water was also slow to drain, causing water to flow into the corridor. Finally, the outside of the window should be covered by something outside the stadium, you can't see anything outside, and no light can get in, it's really too bad, if you are not really too lazy to walk, don't book here.

Full five-star praise for Zhengshang Jianguo! I traveled a long way to get here, and the front desk staff, especially Xiao Ting, handled my check-in smoothly. Choosing this hotel was definitely the right decision. The cozy duplex room with its own mini-fridge was so comfortable and relaxing. Zhang Haixia was incredibly thoughtful, kindly offering fresh fruit and lovely cookies, which was a very sweet touch. The hotel's location is super convenient; it's just a ten-minute walk to the East Station and the long-distance bus station, and right next to the upcoming Pang Dong Lai. This makes getting around and shopping so easy. My trip was filled with happiness, and I highly recommend it!

Had a fantastic stay! The location is great, about a 20-minute drive to both the East Station and the Museum, so it's quite central. Downstairs, there's BBQ, hot pot, and Cotti Coffee, making it super convenient for food delivery – they even have robots for that! It's very quiet and the area feels safe. Plus, you can park under a covered area to protect your car from rain.

A big thank you to the lovely front desk lady who helped me get a really great room with a perfect view of the 'Corn Tower' (a local landmark). The bed was super comfortable, the AC worked perfectly, and there were 4 complimentary bottles of water in the room.

The only minor flaw was that the shower head was broken and almost hit my foot.

They offer a free shuttle service to the station, which was excellent, but it's a shared ride. The other party was late, which almost made me miss my train. I'd suggest giving a heads-up if it's a shared shuttle next time. The driver was very professional, though; he rerouted us due to heavy traffic and got me to the station on time. Great service overall!

Located by the river, the hotel offers stunning river views right outside the door. The back door leads to Langjing Square, and many attractions are within walking distance. There are bus stops nearby for convenient transportation, and Jiujiang Railway Station is a short taxi ride away. The hotel's decor is on the luxurious side, with spacious rooms and bathrooms featuring bathtubs. The old-fashioned maroon furniture creates a somewhat somber atmosphere in the rooms, which lack a main light and have insufficient lighting. All amenities are complete, and the breakfast is plentiful, delicious, and the service is warm and professional.

The hotel is clean and tidy, and the rooms, while small, are well-equipped. Elegant yet charming, the service is attentive and truly comfortable. It felt like home, and every detail was impeccable. The staff were all courteous, welcoming, and attentive. Xiao He, the front desk clerk, provided excellent service. Parking is convenient, and the hotel is spacious and conveniently located next to a shopping mall.
