Was really excited to stay at this hotel since it is from a well known group. 
However, was quite disappointed with the hotel itself.
It’s older than I thought and compared to the photos.
There is strong smell of humidity and mold when you exit the elevator, throughout the hallways and inside the rooms.
The bed was quite small. Pillows flat, blanket thin and not suitable for winter time climate.
You can find mold in the grout around the bathtub so you know the facilities are old. And the bathtub is quite small even for a female. So hard for a grown man to fit inside.
There was no water available! Usually four star hotels would offer some bottled water. The front desk told us to drink from the tap, but the water in Taipei is not safe to drink!?
We were disappointed because it’s not really worth the price!! The room fees were quite high and the quality is just not to standard.
The housecleaning in the morning is so loud when cleaning nearby guest rooms that it is really disturbing to guests who are not checking out or staying more than one night.
This place is really busy on the weekends but we can see it’s mostly packed by tour groups.

You can’t ask for a better location. Across the street from Taipei main station (go underground, don’t walk across the street as the crossing isn’t directly outside).
Some people say it’s old but I didn’t care, everything works and in order and staff were wonderful.

Great location with lots to do around. Lots of restaurants in the vicinity. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we were upgraded to a bigger room when we arrived. Very kind of them. However, although tthe room is big with a lot of facilities but not so useful for me. 1) very dim lightings entire room. 2) total dark walls in the shower room and dim light in the basin area which makes it difficult to put on my make-up. 3) theres a ”Fire Exit” light on top of the entrance door. When we turned off the lights to sleep, this ”Fire Exit” light becomes so bright that we couldnt sleep well all nights :(. 4) Water pressure in the shower room was very weak, couldnt take a decent shower after a tiring day. However, after informing them, they reacted swiftly and repaired the host, it was ok the next day. We truly appreciate the promptness. Thank you.

We really like the front desk service, staff are very helpful & polite; also fulfill our preference of quiet room away from elevator.

Breakfast is great. Not many choices with protein, but like their congee, tea, salad with nuts, plain soy milk & spacious dining area. Staff are very experienced & friendly too.

One housekeeping staff intercepted me Sunday afternoon (when my room was not made up yet) & keep asking if I need change of bedsheet, or I would be away for long. It’s not an issue when we have a gang but he keeps pushing me for an ans & do not let me close door when I’m alone (& he’s a very tall man). Given the strange encounter & recent news about violent acts, we think it’s safer to notify concierge & ask for a lady housekeeper. Overall it’s a great experience & hope this is a minor issue.

The hotel is great, very clean, the staff are very nice. I stayed at the suite which was a very big room and had a great view. 
The lounge was ok but I prefer less unhealthy snacks and more fruits/ healthy stuff in it. 
The pool was not heated and it was a bit cold. 
Also the last night my room had noises all night long. Like metal to metal noises which cause me not to sleep all night long. 
The staff were nice but didn’t really compensate for this horrible night I had no sleep at all besides promising to a late check out or upgrade next time I book. Which is more of a promotion than a real compensation. Too bad that left a bit a bitter taste to a nice stay so far. I’m in Taipei once or twice a year and I wish they were more attentive to my complaint and lack of sleep.

This was my second stay at this hotel, and I chose it again because of its excellent amenities and thoughtful design. The room is beautifully decorated in calming green tones, and the layout is ideal for two or three guests. I especially appreciated the separate wet and dry toilet areas, as well as the divided bathroom and shower-very
convenient for sharing. Guests can also enjoy complimentary movies, and the bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. I had a great night's sleep and would gladly return.

Pool was littered with debris from the strong winds. The water quality was good, but the pool staff could have done a better job at hauling out the debris at the deep end of the pool. The jacuzzi was a disappointment. The presence of greenish/yellowish algae in the water made the jacuzzi uninviting. The heater was turned off and will not be turned on until the third week of November. I was there during the last week of October. Every resort I stayed at had the jacuzzi heated despite the time of the year or the ambient air temperature. If it is the position of the management to not clean or heat the jacuzzi, then the jacuzzi should be covered up and blocked off. The breakfast buffet was horrible considering how much money they charged. I probably will not stay or recommend this hotel. It’s has a lot of potential!
