Great
HHIROSHIStayed for 3 nights with my family. The hotel room and restaurant were very clean and comfortable.
There is a pool where children can play, and the sea is right in front of you, so the location was great.
GGuest UserI paid the room fee on Ctrip and charged it again when I arrived at the hotel. The room rate booked on Ctrip covers all taxes and attraction fees. Checking out is the hotel trying to charge attraction fees again. Is the information channel between Ctrip and the hotel not smooth enough?
GGuest UserHotel was clean for the most part, except under the bed which was absolutely disgusting; but who goes under there anyway? The front desk staff were nice, so no complaints there, or anywhere except for parking!! Apparently there is a customer there that is “VIP” (which is what the front desk staff told me) and they are allowed to park their trailer and take up 5 spaces, even though the rest of us paid for our rooms too. My family and I were here on vacation to Disneyland, so the second day we arrived later in the evening back at the lodge. I understand we weren’t going to get our original spot, but there was NO parking. My husband drove the entire lot twice and by pure luck someone had just left, otherwise where would my family and I have parked? Location is great and the staff were friendly, but this experience alone would never allow me to book here again.
GGuest UserI booked a room at Laguna Cove after my Sonder reservation was canceled. This place was cozy, with a darling welcome area complete with couches and coffee and a nice fruit, yogurt and coffee cake breakfast. The room was clean and the bed was awesomely comfortable and perfect on a chilly few days in winter. The staff was friendly and attentive! I love this place and will plan to come back! This was the perfect place for me.
GGuest UserThis is a small family running business. Everything was organized perfectly. Zero time waiting. All questions were answered. All calls replied immidiately.
The room was small, but had everything a traveller needs There were a fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, a TV set, WiFi etc.
The bed and mattress were very comfortable. The window had good shades. The bathroom was super clean. There were several white and soft towels.
I took a very good overnight rest in the hotel. Give all the best scores to it.
PPaulDisappointing experience.
1. Hotel's parking is a block away across the street. Parking spots are tiny, larger cars will have hard time parking.
2. Air conditioning units are those portable things on wheels. Right in the room. Very loud, turns on/off all night.
3. Windows open sliding up - don't stay open, too old/falling apart. Also have no screen.
4. Room is the tiniest I ever seen in hotels.
5. Bathroom sink - stand alone sink with no space to put toiletries on.
Pros:
Clean.
Great location right near the beach.
Rooftop bar, restaurant onsite and great Mexican restaurant across the street.
Friendly service, front desk person was very helpful.
GGuest UserThe hotel service is very good, the room is large, clean and tidy, and the traditional American breakfast is provided. The internal public area is clean and comfortable, the environment outside the hotel is very quiet, free parking, convenient for friends to come in and out, close to UCI, very satisfactory accommodation experience
李李The hotel is very good, clean and tidy, the room is large, we booked studio, two people with five-year-old children just right, big bed enough to sleep, parking lot location, 8 yuan a day, breakfast is good, milk bread coffee steamed Egg ham is basically there, very satisfied. There is a small business district about one kilometer around, there are several restaurants, and there is a small supermarket at the roadside gas station.
HHaipiao79The location is close to the sea, but it is sandwiched between two roads, so it's a bit of a detour if you go out for dinner. The room is large, with two TVs, but the facilities are old, and the service staff is nice. I stayed for two nights and the overall feeling was okay.
AAnonymous UserMy room had a connecting door to the adjacent one, and both rooms seemed identical. All the faucets in my room were broken, and the air conditioning was incredibly loud. This might be due to the hotel's age; the elevators were also very slow and felt unstable. The only upsides were a small private pool (which was tiny, probably no more than 10 meters) and a 24-hour hot spring, which was an excellent amenity. Additionally, the parking lot was very spacious with ample parking spots. However, staff started clearing breakfast at 9:30 AM, despite the advertised hours being 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. My room wasn't cleaned until the third day of my stay. At 6 PM, when I went to the front desk to ask for hot water, I was told there was none.
