The room is large, with a courtyard, and a little bit of a Maldivian feel, but no hair dryer was found. The food is good, the taste is OK, the ingredients are fresh, and it is slightly more expensive than other nearby restaurants. The service is still quite enthusiastic, especially the on-demand food service staff for breakfast, who are very enthusiastic and proactively ask if there are any dishes that need to be ordered. Proactive service is precious and feels very good. However, the front desk service is perfunctory, seemingly enthusiastic but not solving the problem. After waiting for a long time, no one took the initiative to tell us that we can check in. We went to the front desk to ask, and a few chatty waitresses smiled and said that it was ok now. When we left, we missed the boat because the front desk arranged to wait for the water taxi. Obviously, we were very anxious and asked many times, but the front desk told us that there was no problem. The boat is often late. I asked them to call the shipping company to inform us that we have not boarded the boat yet, and I guess there was no communication. I was speechless. The service to customers should not be just superficial enthusiasm. I hope to really solve problems for guests instead of creating problems.

Perhentian Kecil (Small Perhentian Island) Perhentian Island, located on the east coast of Malaysia in Terengganu state, immediately brings to mind images of beaches, the sea, sunshine, and diving. Bubu Resort is conveniently situated next to the jetty at Long Beach on Perhentian Kecil, offering views of Perhentian Besar (Big Perhentian Island) and stunning sunrises. The area under the jetty is also a great spot for snorkeling. During holidays, many locals bring their children here to play in the water. It's a paradise for Western tourists and a haven for diving enthusiasts. Getting there: You can take an overnight bus from TBS (Terminal Bersepadu Selatan) to Kuala Besut bus station. From there, it's just a 10-minute walk to the jetty. You can book your boat tickets online or purchase them at the counter. Additionally, there's a jetty entrance fee of RM2 and a marine park conservation fee (RM30 for foreigners vs. RM5 for locals). Layover: The last boat departs the island at 4:00 PM. If you need a place to rest while waiting for an evening bus or flight, you can book a room near the Kuala Besut jetty or bus station. As it's a small town, it's advisable to book your layover accommodation in advance, especially during peak season. Sani Bus offers rooms for rent for 3 hours, as shown in the picture below.

A charming hotel that has clearly seen better days. They probably didn't spare any expense on marketing – good promotional videos, a beautiful logo (luxurious by local standards), and consistent brand colors throughout. But something's off with the management... The receptionists are completely indifferent; you can't get an extra word out of them, and they don't explain anything properly. The icing on the cake – breakfast!!! There's absolutely nothing to eat!!! Muesli, noodles that inexplicably weren't there and no one was in a hurry to bring them, white rice, and beans in a brown sauce. Two croissants that were gone before I even saw them. No omelets, no sausages, no meat of any kind. Believe me, I'm not being picky... And of course, the beach. If you walk a little away from the hotel (too many boats), you'll find some decent sand, but at low tide, it's too shallow, and the seabed is quite unpleasant.

Выбор этого отеля - насущная необходимость в том случае, если вы приехали в Куала Бесут вечером, а уже утром вам нужно отправляться дальше, например на острова, и вам не хочется делить жилье с другими жильцами - как это обычно бывает в бюджетных хостелах. Отель предлагает минимально возможные удобства за небольшие деньги: комнату с кондиционером, туалет и душ в номере. Что еще нужно для того, чтобы провести ночь в относительном комфорте и в приватной обстановке? Мы приехали поздно вечером. Хозяйка на ресепшене встретила нас очень гостеприимно, ответила на множество наших вопросов, помогла с утренним трансфером на острова, выдала свежие полотенца и дополнительные одеяла (в номере очень мощный кондиционер). Комната на троих нам досталась на первом этаже. Вопреки отзывам никаких насекомых в ней не было, даже при том, что окно в туалете открыто. Посторонних запахов мы не почувствовали. Белье не новое, но чистое. Кровати удобные. Бесплатная вода в бутылочках оказалась очень кстати. Наверно из-за того, что это очень бюджетный отель, персонал не уделяет внимания мелочам, вроде плохо работающего дверного замка и подтекающего крана в туалете - но это не критично. Звукоизоляция двери в номер также оставляет желать лучшего - из коридора беспрепятственно доносились звуки, издаваемые другими жильцами, но мы настолько устали, что нам они не смогли помещать. Ну а то, что в туалете мокрый пол - на этот случай есть тапочки))). Поужинали мы в уличном ресторане в нескольких шагах от отеля. Утром купили нужные нам вещи в местной лавке, зашли в 7 Eleven, позавтракали в кофейне и выписались из номера. Депозит 50 MYR нам был возвращен без оговорок. Остался непонятным взятый с нас при заселении ”туристический сбор” 10 MYR, но мы не спорили: надо, значит надо - надеемся, что эти деньги пойдут на важные для развития сервиса цели. Следует отметить, что у отеля два входа: один неприметный с улицы - он находится справа от ворот гаража под вывеской с названием отеля. Второй, более респектабельный - с противоположной стороны здания, там же есть парковка.
